So, basically, I have some plastic raumjager models from atlantic wargames I was at one point converting to be dkok. They have that nicely could be cadian, scions, or dkok vibe and I Iput plastic heads on them (with the use of model glue) from a kit that had gas masks (an imperial 1918 german army).
So now, I look at them, and I realize those heads are not quite angled the way I want. They are not unusuable, but they don't look GOOD. So my question is, am I just SOL here or is there a way to get the head back off without destroying a model.

Any secret techniques anyone knows?

If by plastic glue you mean polystyrene cement, then it will depend on how much you used. The join between the head and the torso will always be a weak point, and as long as the head doesnt have too many spiky bits on it, you might be able to force them apart again. If you drowned the join in the cement then you might be out of luck. If there are still some gaps, then you could even try flooding the neck with poly cement again and see if the softening helps taking them apart. However doing that 6ou risk some loss of detail as the cement gets to work kn the plastic.

You could also try wrapping the head in padding of some kind and using pliers to help.with leverage.

This is gonna sound a bit scary, so I'd say find the mini you like the pose of the least.

get like a nice firm grip on the head, and a good, solid part of the torso...

...and TWIST! TWIST MY BOY! TWIST WITH ALL THE MIGHT IN THE SINEWS OF YOUR WRISTS! TWIST TO RIGHT THESE MODELING WRONGS!

Just use your fingers. Pliers/whatever will probably be too harsh.
The first try might not do it. But it'll give you a feel for the bond between the pieces of plastic. After that, it'll probably be apparent how much force you need. One or two, slightly gentler efforts will probably come good. After that, look at the bits, think about the cleanup you'll need to do, and if it was all worth it.

Source: I love converting, but haven't always been so good at it. Plastic cement is much more forgiving than it seems.

As above, I never solidly glue mine down until completely happy. The few cases I have changed my mind I find the small electrical screwdrivers invaluable for getting under the bulk of plastic and prizing it up. All dependant on if you smothered it in glue.

Pic please.

Secondly, yeah poser has the point of it, if you didn't glue toghether like a moron (aka my early endavours) and didn't drown the head in it, there should be no issue what so ever to take the head off again.

Secondly, i think your issue will probably be that the neck is too short, personal suggestion, get a bit of greenstuff instead og glue to make the neck longer and the helmet fit better in.

Thirdly, if it is the gasmask that is in the way, you'd be surprised what you can do with a hair dryer and a bit of force applied aswell.
