Hey guys, just picked up a Gorthor model from a local shop. Hopefully I'll be getting it next week some time.

It was a bit of a gamble, as I'm hoping he can be used (either with or without him on the chariot) as a regular Tuskgor chariot. Is this the case? Would converting be needed?

That would be the easiest. The new build your own character system would work too if that's an option in your group.

Perfect. I had planned to buy a Tuskgor Chariot or two, so this works. I've wanted Gorthor for many a year and pparently I just barely missed out on the MTO.

Here's his current rules: https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Warhammer_Legends_Beastmen.pdf
Or you can just run him as a fancier beastman chariot.
Wichever works for you & your group.

Note however that "... Legends units are not designed for matched play (as they won’t, for example, have yearly points updates)."

Yes, if you're using points you'll have to discuss with your opponent how much Gorthor should cost (as the new PDF there doesn't include any points at all)

Bah just use him as a normal chariot.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.
