Even with NO information, I declare this game better than Palladiums version.

Palladium’s game is pretty cool. I’d recommend snagging a copy from MM while they are on super discount.

KidsLogic says their entry “is not a complicated game to start” because they are new to this market. The box will contain four miniatures.

I own a few of the Minitech Robotech minis that I use for Battletech. They are very high quality & look great on the table.

I mean, it can't possibly be worse, on the whole...

Rules were... Ok. Ish. Workable, but nothing spectacular, with some weird stuckups like having twenty melee attack types per unit (exxagerating for effect, here ) or the weird missile volley rules, but they worked. More or less.

They were nowhere as bad as the RPG, that's at least something...

Separate lenses for the robot eyes. Each finger is a different piece. No instructions. It's hard to sink Lower than Palladium's bar, but it could happen.

That's a lotta detail on those models.

I'm one of those suckers that bought all in to the Robotech KS and got screwed by Palladium. After that... I'll never do business with Palladium again or favorably recommend them to anyone. They are a bad company.

I wrote a HUGE post about the backstory of the Palladium Books Robotech RPG Tactics Board Game as I was pretty involved with it and knew the players involved, but ya know what? Water under the bridge. Don't support Palladium games. How they are still in business is a testament to the hardiness of a cockroach.

The KidsLogic models are fantastic! If they are making a table top miniatures game for Robotech, I wish them luck! That's one IP that deserves it, but it's also an IP that seems a cursed pariah.

The interesting thing about this is that it's not a Robotech game, but a Macross game. Since Macross is the superior IP, I'd expect better of it. Has anyone seen a price on it yet?

It’s labeled RoboTech as well as Macross.

Go watch Macross 7 and try to say that again with a straight face lol

The resin KidsLogic stuff is fantastic, although now that Catalyst is producing some pretty astonishing PVC plastics for Battletech there's a bit less demand for the resins. It's been nice to fill a lot of the holes in the RPGTactics line that Palladium utterly failed to fulfill, love the resin Quedluun Rau and Zentraedi infantry and having armored/super veritechs is great. I do like the Palladium styrene plastics, excellent detail once they actually get put together and gaps filled, but I have mounds of it still on sprues that will never ever get built because of the effort involved. If the RPGTactics stuff had been Catalyst quality PVC then I think the game would have survived even Palladiums awful handling of it, as it is there's a few dedicated groups of mostly older Robotech fans playing it because it's Robotech, but it's died down heavily in the last few years even with KidsLogic resins

I haven't actually played with the KidsLogic rules, everythign I've seen makes it look SUPER basic and uninteresting, I suspect the dogfight ones will be similar. It will still be great to have more nice quality, easy to assemble resins on the market. Now if KidsLogic could just get the rights to Super Dimension Cavalry: Southern Cross, and M.O.S.P.E.A.D.A, and Macross II

I don’t know everyone’s having such a problem with that. Thanks to Palladium you can now kitbash a Stargazer at Star Trek Attack Wing scale with the same plethora of Robotech pieces as the original 4 foot studio model!

Seriously. Macross Plus was the last good entry into the franchise.

I like both Macross and Robotech for what they are. People need to get over starting nerd fights on stuff like this as it's dumb.

Macross Frontier is awesome, and if you didn't love it you're a soulless monster. There, I said it.

Although I'll stand corrected that the product does indeed seem to be Robotech and 'Macross' is just a reference to the SDF.

The 'Macross' is the original logo for the Super Dimensional Fortress Macross anime which we all know was adapted as the first (and arguably most popular) part of the Robotech TV series.

Speaking of branding, Kidslogic has a pretty interesting site: https://www.kidslogic.toys/

I have, and I do. If nothing else (and it did actually have a lot of things else, kind of mixed bag, yes) it did wonderfully expanded the setting unverse.

Plus, you know, the mecha.

Even in Robotech, the first part is still the Macross saga. It is also the one less modified in the retelling.

I mean... as GW's new sets have cleary shown, it's not so much that they had a million pieces, but the fact that for the effort, well... they weren't very good.

Good luck to them and I'm sub'ed to the thread... but both Palladium and Harmony Gold enabling them turned me off to buying more Robotech for the foreseeable future. Maybe I'll forgive them if the movie is great.

Huh. There are quite a few Kidslogic models these days. May have to splurge on one out of curiosity.

I'll be honest in that I've long wanted someone to do figures based on the Protodeviln from 7. They had some neat designs.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Another Palladium sucker here.

I saw they have the Armored Valk & Super Valk on their shop page, so I'm taking the plunge to pick a couple up and see what the quality is like.

It is annoying that for the Valks it's full price (and separate purchase) for each form. I wonder how many pieces the darn things will be.

Has anyone bought any of there stuff that they can show it or talk about it?

It never ends well

I'm glad I stumbled into this thread as i had not actually heard of Kids Logic before and their website already looks like a treasure trove of interesting things....

I used to be a huge Macross fan, a looong time ago, so this looks really cool.

They look really solid. I really hope they expand, cause Frontier would be perfect for actual wargame (whereas Delta would be nice for detailed duelling skirmish) and small-scaleVF-25 or 31 would be lovely.

I have bought basically everything KidsLogic makes for the 1/300 RT/M stuff, many in multiples.

Quality is excellent: very crisp, highly detailed figures. They are not multipose at all. The resin is great quality. However, aerials, antennae, and head lasers are very fragile. Don't be surprised if there's a broken piece or two. They have been struggling for the last year and a half to get a packaging type that will survive international shipping - various foam types and different densities inside the blister pack, etc. However: I still highly recommend them, despite the chance for a broken piece.

And yes there's dual branding: KidsLogic has both a HG Robotech license and an international Macross license.

A great big thumbs up for the effort...

I'll keep an eye on it, and move on it later if they can keep this quality going for the figures.

Unfortunately, releasing product based on any of the shows not already licensed for release in the US pretty much guarantees an expensive lawsuit from HG.l

Unless that eventuality was covered in HG's recent renewal of their license from the Japanese companies that made it. I have no idea though and we won't likely know until someone tries.
