Subject: GW LVO Preview Show. 27 Jan 10pm US, 28 Jan U.K. 6am
Yeah that's the Avatar on the right. The hand the same hand.
GaroRobe wrote: My big fear is that they'll do a "one model per category" like in the past.
The only consistent thing about GW is their inconsistency, so we are just as likely to receive a big preview for an entire faction (ala Bla) as we are a single model.
Given that they've just stated we're getting an Avatar preview, I tend to agree with your fears: This will be a 15 minute for 1 mini for each system affair.

I'm quite surprised they bothered responding to the leak given he was getting revealed in twenty four hours anyway, and there was an (admittedly very potato cam) image of him knocking around a week ago.

I mean, you'll also get the inevitable idea that floated around that they leaked it themselves for some reason.
It is actually a lovely model; one of the best attempts they've had at updating a classic concept without feeling the need to change things just coz.

It was likely more to do with putting out the "other Aeldari secrets to reveal" part.

I was excited when I read that too. But it could just as easily be a "Kill-team" reveal for corsairs. That would fit the aeldari secrets to reveal, while also not revealing anything besides the avatar for the 40k section.

They'd hardly show the logo (if there is one). Besides, there's Horus Heresy which is a likely candidate
Ahaha, I will laugh so much if the Horus Heresy logo amounts to them announcing epic content for the era and nothing about the actual 28mm game. The salt would be overflowing.

Man, if they indeed are bringing Epic back, that'd be the end of 28mm 40K for me! Always preferred skirmish and 6mm scales over the quasi-platoon feel of 40K. I would be totally content with only playing KT21 and Epic..
But I can't honestly see Epic making a comeback..
Automatically Appended Next Post: Hmm.. about this "epic" thing. I found this video: (Skip to 04:50)
Thoughts?

They also mentioned Gargantuan in one of their statements. So maybe Adeptus Titanicus: Ork Gargants are coming

They’d probably have done a ‘mystery reveal’ thing like they’ve done before if Epic is coming tomorrow.
If I'd take this youtuber's rumour seriously. and GW has been playtesting Epic on December 2021, then we would be getting a "One more thing.." type of teaser at the most. There'd be no way the game is finished yet. But I admit wishlisting here...

I don’t think Orks are coming for AT (there’s no Titanicus logo for a start) but Orks were also around in the Great Crusade so including them wouldn’t even really be out of the setting.

If they were playtesting december it would be dubious would it come in 2022.

Well if nothing else, this reinvigorated my interest in tomorrow's reveals! I know I will see at least the new KT box... but theres at least some hope for a real surprise.

I can live in hope that they will announce they made a terrible, terrible mistake and the Necron codexes that went to retail were actually not the final version and they are going to release a new version with completely revamped weapon profiles...

Given the core changes, the point changes and so on, I think that's a dead hope. They fixed it!

In the past if they were previewing an unannounced game or product line, they would put a blank logo placeholder, usually with ">>>" or "Censored" or "Redacted" etc. over it.
You will also note that "Warhammer 40,000" and "Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team" and "Necromunda" are all separate items on the preview listing, despite all of them otherwise falling under "Warhammer 40,000" (well, Necromunda is arguable, but Kill Team is not). Because "Age of Sigmar" is the only fantasy tag on there, we will not be getting anything to do with Warhammer Quest/Cursed City, nor Warcry, nor Warhammer Underworlds. If Epic is being previewed, its not under "The Horus Heresy", it would be previewed under its own product tag.
This doesn't necessarily preclude the "one last thing" 15 second video clip at the end of the show that says "SOMETHING EPIC IS COMING" or whatever, but if they are doing that they probably aren't actually going to tell us the games full name, nor will they show us minis, only tease us with the potential existence of the product, which will spark furious debates on dakka as to whether or not they are teasing the return of Epic or not, and whether or not its set in 40k or 30k, and whether its 6mm or 8mm or 10mm or actually really a 2nd edition of Apocalypse but named "Epic" instead and using 28mm minis, or if its actually teasing some really random obscure character whos nickname in one Black Library novel published 18 years ago was said to be "The Epic Scrotum-muncher" or something.
And if the rumor is that Epic started playtesting in December 2021, the game isn't being released this year. If anything, with the knowledge that theres a 28mm Horus Heresy reboot supposed to be happening Soon (TM) for which product has been completed and apparently sitting in warehouses, its likely that that is the next major specialist game coming out the gate and the only one which is being released this year - GW is *NOT* going to drop two new specialist games in the same year.

Yeah, they usually tell you what games to expect. Probably to keep people from being like
"No Blood Bowl?" or "No Titanicus?" or "No (insert your fave game here)" sort of un-hype.
That said, there's nothing to say they wouldn't put in a teaser at the very end of the reveals that hints at a teaser for another reveal that might then tease a bit more about something else.

People have been coming up with rumours about Epic since Titanicus was announced, a lot of claims about how "it and AImperialis are totally test beds before progressing into a full Epic system." If you repeat something enough it gets a life of it's own.
