So I’m rather excited, as on Saturday I return to WHW for the first time since Nurgle’s Blessings landed upon our benighted world.

At the moment, it seems it’s just a regular store anniversary with brass knobs on, including activities and prizes and stuff. And of course plenty of gorgeous loot for me to grab.

I’m also kind of half expecting some kind of sneaky preview. Now nothing has been announced, but I’ve been to previous events where new stuff popped up.

And this thread is where I’ll be posting any news or photos I can grab. No promises of course, but still hopeful I’ll be able to share.

And no, SpikeyBitz Bitz. You may not use any photos or info I share on here.

For what it's worth I was there Friday just gone for the first time in a few years and they've put a lot of effort into updating and adding to some of the displays.

Was just looking at Bugman’s menu. Man it’s smaller than it used to be. Hopefully still tasty though, as I’ll see what’s to be seen, do what’s to be done then have lunch before I drive home.

Really hoping to get my hands on the Event Models, but they’re really not giving much away. But, given its a sold out ticketed event, I can kind of understand the lack of hype train

Seriously though, the last few events I've been to there have been underwhelming. It has been a while though, so who knows?

I seem to recall this event is set up as 4 half-day events rather than one big one - if that is the case, then I'm not surprised at the lack of a preview.

Yeah. They’re limiting it to 4 sets of 250 people. Which I think I appreciate. I’m not big on crowds at the best of times, and I’ve been thoroughly spoiled in that regard.

Shouldn’t be too crowded.

Was the event itself any good? Is it just the new Event Models? Weighing up whether to go or just make a FW order

It's a sold out ticketed event, Fraggle - you can't just decide to go, as far as I'm aware.

They have the AOS Event model (the Shaman), but not the Marine Champion.

Did some Looting, had my breakfast, then drove back home.

No reveals? Was there even anything worth paying money for the ticket to see/do?

It was really nice of you to do all that just to get me the Shaman model. Truly a world class gentleman.

Was there anything event-exclusive other than the models? I mean small stuff/free gifts like 25th anniversary artcards, badges etc. I was under the impression that sometimes events give out bags of stuff and such sometimes or maybe for the activities.

They were giving out goody bags on exit with non model paraphernalia and you could also get stuff with purchases depending how much you spent.

Activity wise there was some gaming/painting/modelling stands of which the highlight was 30 minutes to make whatever you wanted out of a giant pile of sprues.

If anyone got the goody bag and could take some photos of it that would be great! Some of the free stuff they've given away for previous events has been pretty nice.

I'm assuming the things with spending certain amounts was just this years store anniversary rewards though? A set of 2 pins, thermal cup, 2 metal dice etc.

Ah so it's a mix of pre-order bonuses and such, still looks like some some quite nice stuff there, especially the prints. A shame I couldn't get a ticket as i'd have liked those, Warhammer World is my local store but they'd sold out by the time I went to buy a ticket.

So they just crammed in the stuff they couldn't shift from the pre-order bonuses? Lmao.

As someone who is just getting into making a Word Bearer army, have pictures of the WB vs SoB diorama surfaced online? Very interested to "borrow" some ideas from it
