I'm personally expecting them to go all in on ash wastes. We know it's meant to be soon as we have the Necro coin from the stores that was meant to be for April. So presumably it's an April release.

It's really hard to gauge where they should be at any more, there's not really any metric to base it off. We know the 40k side is somewhere between on-time looking at the Eldar wave coming out and woefully behind given nids are stuck in some weird tease but out in peoples hands limbo and by all accounts it looks like Chaos Marines and Knights are much further off their radar than it would seem was planned.

Too early for full on Ash Wastes, we only had a no-models teaser so far. Might see a more revealing cinematic and maybe one full mini.

Yknow how ever time they do one of these preview things, in the leadup to it they will post random images on socials, usually with a number indicating the countdown/number of days to the reveal? And then you guys will convince yourselves and everyone else that theres gonna be a big preview about something that you're really excited about and get all this hype going... and then the preview comes and we're all disappointed because they didn't show off anything even remotely to do with what you interpreted the hype-posting to mean?

I'd hope for a bit more. We know they should have some models fully ready, as the old vehicle rumor engines match the animated trailer they first teased Ash Wastes with. If nothing else, they could show off that in all its glory

Naah the post-reveal whining and crying is best part of previews. Don't go ruining it.

That being said, I think Necromunda being a bigger Ash Wastes preview is a given, is there anything else in the pipe that it could be other than that?

I would imagine maybe 1-2 Horus Heresy characters and either an Ash Wastes preview or the release of a random Necromunda character.

I'd love them to start teasing them but I reckon they are a long way off, maybe towards the end of the year and maybe as a Killteam initially.

No killteam in this preview though , guessing 40k will be the Chaos stuff, maybe a hint of guard and probably Heresy? Looking forward to seeing what's next for Underworlds- think its the Necromancer and pals.
I'm guessing the supply/shipping issues they are having will restrict what they show - the release stream seems to be a bit slow at the moment- 3 months in and only one proper army release for all systems?
Maybe things will pick up as they head into Spring.

I know it is marketing-speak, but GW is setting the bar here by saying that there "will be a fair few earthshattering reveals".

I'm probably going to avoid this thread until Thursday morning, then come back and see if they came anywhere near close to living up to that.

Expectation management is the name of the game. There are going to be fewer reveals then we’d like, they are not going to be as earthshaking as they are hyped, and most for factions/games that we individually don’t play. And some will be things we already know.

But there will be some interesting stuff, even if not relevant to me. Take what you like, and disregard the rest.

If you go in expecting the stars and moon, you are going to be sad/angry. Especially if you stayed up late for it.

Given things I feel more like they'll show off concept art, but if they show off the starter I'll be quite pleased.

I think folks were probably expecting a bit more of a range refresh on the Eldar stuff as well.

They won't show fall/winter releases yet. Lumineth is fall earliest and odds are wd update next.

Sylvaneth/skaven summer. Leaves lumineth, slaanesh, tzeentch, fec, gloomspite, ogor left. Order and chaos are most likely candinates for wd, the remaining 3 could fit second half books giving every faction some form of update this year.

And Blood Bowl is likely the Norse.

Really only excited for the Blood Bowl previews.

Underworlds is pretty dead to me with the latest Tome of Champions for Warcry, and overall Warcry is in a pretty good spot... so don't really want them to dork with it too much.

I don't know why.

A. What we got was very significant.
B. We were told by the leakers as far back as November that it wasn't going to be a full line refresh al a Necrons.
C. Nothing in the December leaks hinted at a full line refresh.

As a person who's been interested in Eldar from the beginning, I never expected more than what we got and to be honest I didn't even expect the new Autarch or Shining Spears, or even the new sniper bikes. So for me it was a lot more than I expected!

Bit of wishful thinking but a new Harlequin model would be nice. Seriously, GW, our last Harlie was given to Sisters of Battle players. And no, Cegorach was not amused...

Imperial / Chaos Knights, or Tyranids & Imperial Guard. Lets face it, one player wants to shout "BUGS!" while the other shrieks like an idiot, pretending to be a Mantis...

Necromunda, The Horus Heresy and Blood Bowl...dunno. I hope its something nice for the players involved.

Underworlds? Hmmmm...something about Zombies a while back.

No idea for Age of Sigmar but I'm happy with Nighthaunts on the way.

Last minute teaser for a new print run of Space Hulk.

No Titanicus? Yeah, glad I moved on from that one...

Ash Wastes is now a given, considering they previewed a mini from the box on Warcom just now.

GW always "sets the bar" by claiming that each preview will be their biggest ever, etc. Its just standard hype-mongering, don't overthink it.
