If the Imperial Knight leaks are anything to go by, combat patrol and smaller crusade games will be impossible for them, with Armigers now being 10 power and the Valiant bumped up to 38, but in return getting grotesquely awesome buffs in terms of attacks and armour, along with a nice -1 to all incoming damage debuff.
That said, bring on that loyalist codex please.

It's more that chaos knights were previously just imperial knights with spikes on, very literally. It's good they're getting fleshed out with their own units. Next time round I'm sure the same will be true in reverse and IK will get something unique.

As a Knight player I'm quite alright with Chaos getting some new toys we don't have access to, could be old, now lost tech, or something heretical they botched together in the warp, but all for them having other stuff than just being spikey mirrorverse cousins.
Would still love to see attendant Armigers that Jes sketched out years ago, providing their lords and ladies with reloads and other buffs. Well seeing it didn't do much to help deal with ridiculous amount of damage output maybe new ones are better.
Also would have been weird for warglaives to lose inv save against shooting. Warglaives would get expensive AND easier to delete with guns?

Might be, I still think the pose helps them to look a bit taller. The previous Marines all had 'riding a horse' stances, which made them look a bit shorter.
I remember years (or even decades) ago someone got the old Necron Warrior models and put their legs to be straight and they jumped up to be as tall as a Tyranid Warrior. Point is how a model is posed can play a big part in how tall it looks.

Of course it has; I'm merely mocking the lack of effort for a starter set, and that for the last few years I've honestly have never seen the rule book in stock on the FW site. Yet, they knock out amazing models quite often.
For the record, I've only heard good things about The Horus Heresy.

I wish I could buy a box of beerboars.
I don't play BB, but damn those models are awesome.
And HBMC, totally with you on that skeleton from the AoS box- I think it would look at home in the ash wastes. I could also see incorporating that giant skull into a vehicle- put it on a knight or something. Of course, then I'd need two of them.

So, a good bit of stuff. Ash Wastes is nice and all but the Nomads aren't enough to my taste to get interested. I don't have a need for walking garbage piles at the moment. Makes sense to start with Orlock, but the vehicles don't seem very interesting to me and riders look really dodgy. Never mind that GW seems to have passed up another opportunity for female Orlocks, but they're shown during the same reveal as the Norse and boy do those Blood Bowl models do the beardy fellow look justice. Orlocks look like trash compared to that. The terrain is cool, though. Looking forward to getting a better look at it.
The zombie warband is a dud in my opinion. As has been mentioned previously, no real love or vision, just a few techy bits stuck to zombies.
The big Knight looks cool. It's great to get mechanical tentacles at Knight size. I love those on my Dreadnought. Small ones, eh, whatever. I don't care for the Armiger look, so there was precious little chance of impressing me. The hound skull is nice, I guess.
AoS then. It's nice of GW to make a model for a krayt dragon (well, a dead one anyway, but I think we all prefer those things dead) and the floaty fountain is really cool, but once again it looks like they have no interest in making anything like modular buildings for AoS. I'd really prefer them to reconsider. 40k got some cool modular ruins with enough intact parts to make functional, complete buildings over the years, and it's a shame AoS doesn't get anything like that. Ghost ferryman is nice enough.
The Horus Heresy trailer looks good, if unbelievable. There's no way Horus would beat a random, wounded Imperial Fist. So unrealistic. But at least GW is finally acknowledging that the leaked Horus Heresy stuff exists.

I think that old Mk IV Marine might be made too large in the picture; the plastic Mk IV's didn't even come up to a Primaris's shoulders.

The new CSM have the head coming just over a Primaris's shoulder?

I'm happy for the new size, sad we probably will not see the Mk IV and III re-scaled, accept maybe as assault or heavy weapon kits.

Yes, it's possible this photoshopped comparison pict isnt 100% accurate, but it's roughly in the ballpark.
And regarding rescaling Mk III & Mk IV kits, I think they will happen, but they will be the last kits to get the rescaling treatment, because the vast majority of legion specific resin parts rely on those two kits. So as long as they are selling resin legion specific bits, the plastics need to remain in their existing scale or they will no longer match the resins. This might not even be 100% related to scale differences, since its possible that the upcoming rescaled marine kits have a different torso design from the old kits (ie they will not be ballsocket upper/lower torso builds).

Remember that heads and shoulder pads fit just fine on rescaled Marines and even Primaris. Going from my Plague Marines I'd say the only problem are two-handed weapons because the torsi of New Marines are wider.

I'd rather they upscaled and reworked mk II instead of III. Mk II was like the main armor during the early war, especially for loyalists. mk III is just a siege/boarding assault version of mk II.

Can you stop? The old marine models are as tall as the IG and all other normal humans. Are the Cadians seven feet tall? Also, AFAIK, there is no citation for either Custodes or Primaris being eight feet tall.
The model scale now almost makes sense if you do the maths. Normal humans (∼32mm) are about sixish feet, non-primaris marines (∼36mm) are almost seven feet and primaris and custodians (∼38mm) about seven feet.
