Subject: Will the new box set be a good addition to this Night Lords army?

I have an army I built for HH, but with the new rules, I’m wondering if there are any reasons these units are now illegal or lacking? Do we know if there is a similar thing as the Terror Assault type of list?
Here are the units I have:
Konrad Curze
Sevatar
Cataphractii Terminator Praetor
Chaplain
Terror Squad x3 10 man units with Volkite Chargers
Cataphractii Terminators with lightning claws x5
Night Raptors x5
Sicaran Battle Tank
Xiphon Pattern Interceptor
Contemptor Mortis x2
Drop Pod x3
Would the new HH box set add anything worthwhile that would help make other decent Night Lords lists? Or would it be overkill to have 30 tactical (or some tactical some heavy weapons) squads on top of 3 full terror squads? Would the tank or HQ in the box be useful for Night Lords? I can see how adding 10 more terminators might be a bit much, but I could make them with different loadouts.
Thanks for any advice!

The only units the Night Lords lost are the Special Characters that are not Sevatar or Konrad Curze.
Terror Assault is still around, slightly altered but Terror Squads and Raptors are both troops in it.

Thank you!! Good to know. Are the new box marines a different scale than the betrayal at Calth marines?

MkIV are in the newer Chaos Marine scale, so slightly taller with more realistic proportions.

The new Mk6s in the HH box are about half a head taller than the plastic Mk4s in Calth. It's subjective whether it will bother you, but I don't think it's accurate to say it's not noticeable.

A little bit of righteous anger now and then is good, actually. Don't trust a person who never gets angry. |

A good trick I learned from historicals is that if you don’t have the units lined up directly side by side you can get away with a lot more scale-wise. Although not sure how practical that would be.
On the topic, I always thought beakies look great for Night Lords! Something a bit sinister about the snout, I think there was some artwork too in the Index Astartes artwork that showed one too.

I really hope they make new Terror Squad helmets for FW that are beak style!
I see the Night Lords Contemptor is out of stock now oof.
If I already have Curze and Sevetar, is there any reason to buy the FW Night Lords terminator praetor and jump-pack praetor?
Also, what kind of drop pod is best for a leviathan dread with CC's?
Thanks!

Theres absolutely reasons to get the other Praetors. Like not always having to rely on a Primarch or Special Character. You might end up playing a campaign of games that dont allow special characters. You might decide to make your own character up, which is part of the draw. Making your own dudes
The Kharibdis is an assault vehicle so you can charge out of that. But they are expensive points and money wise.

Mark VI is bang on the new CSM size though. Mark III is kinda in the middle, i.e. the Heroes scale. The difference is almost all in the legs. You can bring Mark III up to mark VI height easily enough with a thin layer of greenstuff in the waist joint, and another one under the feet; the bigger helmet and pack also help make them look a little taller than they are. For mark IV, you need pretty chonky basing as well - or new legs. I'm mixing all 3 in the same unit, so I've been merrily customising both to the mark VI height (3d printed legs for the mark IV). If you keep the mark iv away from the other two, it won't look so bad. But right next each other, it's pretty noticeable IMO.

Honestly the size difference between Mk VI and other varients is not enough to notice, the only time you will is if you get down on eye level with them. Hell even the addtion of a texture layer will bring them up the same height.
So honestly dont even waste time worrying about "Scale"

It depends - it stands out to me like the difference between normal marines and primaris (it's not quite that big a gap, but it's not far off), and in a game where the aesthetics is a significant part of the story - you turn up with mark vii marines and people will definitely notice - having some of my guys only come up to the other's chin bugs me.
YMMV, so if it doesn't bother you or look odd, they're your dudes so obviously it's fine to leave the only-as-tall-as-a-scout stunties just as they are.
