As the title states I am new to HH with 2.0 and got myself the Box set, Liber Hereticus, Special Weapons kit, and Heavy Weapons wit.

I am leaning towards going Night Lords and have some questions in regards to tactics/weapons options and 3rd party bits.

With the NL ability being triggered by outnumbering your opponent I'm going to assume that running them in large squads is generally always best?

With the Tactical Squads, what are best loadouts for NL - Special Weapons, Heavy Weapons, Bolt weapon CC attachment, Sergeant loadout?

Because we have access to upgrading certain characters with Chainglaives, anyone have suggestions for best 3rd party kits for them?

Lastly, what kits beyond the starter box are best for NL? I assume Assault Marines once they come out, another transport and tank or dread?

Thanks for any advice.

Heresy Tactical Squads don't get Special or Heavy Weapons like their 40K versions. Special Weapons rather get carried by Tactical Support Squads and Heavy Weapons by Heavy Support Squads and the squads carry all the same weapon.

With all the new rules coming out next weekend, I would sit tight with what you have. Most of the answers you want will come once people have their books and start playing with the new rules/lists. You can't go wrong with what you bought, just don't know what's optimal for any legion yet.

Tortuga miniatures do a chain Glaive kit https://tortuga-gamestable.top/index.php?route=product/product&path=223&product_id=3450" target="_new" rel="nofollow"> https://tortuga-gamestable.top/index.php?route=product/product&path=223&product_id=3450 amongst some other bits.

Bits of War (Kromlech) and Maxmini also do a wide range of parts.

I started a thread about a week ago for generic gribbly conversion bits (heads, face pauldrons etc) if that is any use also.

I am assuming the traitoris book you have ordered will have everything you need to play the NL (at least for now, if HH follows the pattern of Necromunda it will have grown to 12 or 13 books needed within a few years!)
