So Paramount+ is launching in the U.K. on Wednesday. As it’ll be debuting a new Beavis & Butthead movie, and of course Strange New Worlds, I may sign up for the 7 day free trial. But at £6.99 a month, it’s gonna need a lot more than that if I’m to stick around.

Has anyone else got it already, such as our US chums? What have you made of it?

I can't speak to the offerings on Paramount + as I don't have it myself, but if that's the only way you can watch Strange New Worlds I would highly recommend getting at least the first month so you can watch that show. It's excellent.

Apparently it’s included at no extra cost if you already have a Sky TV subscription including Sky Cinema, so I’ll take a look at Strange New Worlds, and the Halo TV show.

Is there anything else worth looking at on Paramount +?

I have it. 9.99 premium because the lower cost still has ads. Lots of ads. Expect to see like 90 seconds of ads at least THREE times without premium service.

As for what's on it, I bought it specifically for Star Trek. I haven't seen anything else at all on it that might interest me at this point in time.

Strange New Worlds is of course there, but so is the latest season of Disco - which I’ve heard is an improvement…..

So far?

Afraid to say I’m not at all impressed. Multiple errors when trying to stream on my TV, via the Smart TV App. Whilst there is content on there I’d like to watch, it’s not a particularly high number.

Perhaps one I’ll have for a month or so, then drop it until new stuff comes on.

But speaking of new stuff? I signed up specifically for Beavis and Butthead Do The Universe. Which still isn’t up. I can’t even tickle my inner idiot with the show, as it only has Do America at the moment.

When you’re going up against Disney+. You better be packing serious entertainment heat. For me? Paramount+ is barely tepid.

And I’ve cancelled. When you’ve the money of Paramount, and can’t even be bothered to offer a stable platform? You can get in the bin then in the sea. Getting on fire is optional.

Seriously. Not only do I get more errors than content? Said errors Bugger my TV, so I can’t backup or close the app.
