Assembled my first Saternine Terminator. These dude's are huge. Like, as tall as Rogal Dorn, the Praetorian not the Tank.
For scale: Contemptor Dreadnought, Metal Terminator, New Dude, 4th Edition Plastic Terminator, and Dorn.



These dude's are fiddly AF to assemble. Seriously, the fingers are 2 separate pieces. Why? Sorry, I forgot about the naughty coaster. Spoilered.

Did myself a wee treat today.

Third Leviathan*, second Kratos and another box of MkVI, as I want to use up the special weapons I’ve left over. Definitely doing Rotor Cannons, undecided on Volkite Charger or Flamers.

All staying safely sealed until I’ve moved house.

*I love Dreadnoughts, and I want to experiment with a three Leviathan List, marched with Phosphex equipped Quad Launchers, see if a Keep Away list has any legs. Will be backed up with Tactical Squads for scoring.

Also built a brace of Grav Cannon Rapiers, joined here by a third I built earlier.

Just two more boxes to go (1 x Laser Destructor, 3 x Quad Launcher) and three sets of crew to go.

Are you going for 3 or 4 per unit?

Three for now, as that was my original plan.

Should give me a decent selection, especially as if I’ve read it right, I can mix weapons in a single battery.

As I’m unlikely to field all 12 in a single list (not just FoC limitations, but wanting variety), I’m tempted to build at least one sprue as character models. Though any of the kneeling legs will remain Crew, as I figure a kneeling character, where LoS might really matter might feel a bit cheaty. And when I feel something is a bit cheaty? Best to avoid, in case of TFG.

One of which is definitely that Siege Breaker chap. With the Assault Weapon Sprues providing a Thunder Hammer, and a smidgen of judicious cutting and trimming, plus the smaller data slate, and a fancier Helmet, I should be good to go, saving not only £28.50, but waiting for a resin model to drift back into stock.

MkIII Command Squad done this weekend - this paint scheme is super-fast, and I managed to get all five of these boys done, from undercoating to final basing, in less than two hours...

I only model/paint, and don’t game, so I have no idea tbh, but knowing GW and the whole “no model, no rules” thing, I doubt it?
But out the box they can have a plasma weapon and power fist, so depending on how lenient you opponent is, I guess you could proxy em as that maybe…

In addition to the Recon Squad I bought earlier this week?

I’ve added a Dark Angels Praetor, Inner Circle Knights Cenobium and a Siege Breaker Consul.

Having gone through the units everyone gets, I didn’t find anything I especially wanted more of right now. So felt it was time to invest in some Legion Specific Toys.

I'm not sure if they're still the headkickers they were last edition, but I think Cenobium are still a good choice.

As with nearly all Plasma weapons, their casters aren’t as deadly. But they’re a good unit in HTH which is the main thing.

Also, just a timely reminder I bought these before 3rd Ed made them pretty good!

Not long before, I’ll grant you. But before.

The gunner sprue is of course phenomenal. Add in the close combat weapons and find slightly fancier bonces, maybe a cloak, and you can knock up some Centurions and Consuls with little fuss.

And all crew now assembled.

Will I ever field all 12 in a single army? Maybe!

Reckon I’ll get it bunged in the boot of the car before the packers arrive. That way if owt get borked it’s my own fault.

I really appreciate GW adding bases for the Rapiers

I went through my painted stuff today and noted everything what needs changing (like Breachers with alchem flamers, which are doubly illegal now, once for the alchem part and once for the flamer part) and what I would benefit from changing because it's just bad now (like dropping all combi-grenade launchers and all melee weapons from 1-attack Sergeants)

Spent the afternoon rummaging through my bitz boxen, then in Blender 'bashing up the missing pieces for Phase 1:

Needle pistol hand for the Primus Medicae
Parts for replacement Tactical Sergeants
A fourth HB Rapier and crew
Heavy flamers for the Termite, replacing Volkites
Lascutter arms for Breachers, replacing alchem flamers
New Breacher Sergeant, replacing combi-grenade and power mace with a hand flamer

Managed to polish off the resin Death Guard Praetor...

Bagging and boxing.

Mostly filled with Heresy and LI models. Kits yet to be built are in a bag.

I’ll get them stashed in my car probably tomorrow. Keys to the new house Friday, so I’ll whizz over and drop them off there.

My 3.0 update tray is going in the machine in the evening. Then... huzzah, a friend who's had HH on the back burner for ages has ordered a few kits and asked me to print him a bag of power axes, so that's my next thing. Then, I want to fix up files for something that seemed beyond my skill set when I started out, like an Arquitor, or a Sicaran Venator.

Nah Salamanders, but axes are the clear best all-rounder in 3.0 plus he can meme "firefighters"
