Subject: How do people in the UK feel about Americans trying to imitate Orks with improper cockney accents?

I know this is a rather silly questions, but how do Brits feel when we Americans try our darnest to try to sound like a "proppa" Ork? Would you rather we just talk like Americans and make them sound like southern hillbilly and rednecks who are overly excited about their trucks and guns, or if we actually try to do an Orkish accent only for it to sound really bad?
Could you say that it's like when British people try to say quotes from the Terrans in Starcraft being 'rednecks in space'?
I ask this as an Ork player who lives in the rural southern state of Georgia. Should I try to spin my Orks saying "yeehaw!", "get e're done!", or "howdy ya'll!" or should I try my best to make a bad American cockney accent?

I would rather people in general did not talk like Orks because it is a bit weird and I'm not a fan of hard RP.

I mean I got the Orks because I love to RP, it helps me with the fact you tend to lose often. Then again with Orks I prefer fun and roleplay over competition. I also have a variety of characters that I generally get into the RP mood with in other fandoms, so I guess you'd be straight outta luck with me in that regards. lol

I mean, I won't be so loud to disrupt the store, but I will do the WAAAGH! when it comes time for in the game and I'm not the only one at my store to try to say the word 'ummie' with an southern American twang. Although it defiantly doesn't come 'natural' to me.
I'd much rather say "get some!" before I open fire. Like in the action movies.

As long as you, your opponent and others are the club/group/store you're playing at are having fun - that's all that matters.
I could not care one bit less if you're imitating an accent or not. HECK go for it! Have some fun! It's not as if we Brits get the accents right either.
I mean have you seen British comedy? Making fun of ourselves is a time honoured pastime.

Cockney isn't even heard of in where I live, minus a tiny few bit of Hollywood movies. Then again I'm all the way here over across the pond.

The orks as conceived did have a lot of late 70s/early 80s "british soccer hooligan" about them.
Only because they were based off "British soccer hooligans" and not "Dutch soccer hooligans", they were just a bit naff, innit?
Seriously. Juventus fans were nuts. The british ones were just ... wossname ... "not quite all right in the head".

As to the OP, I couldn't really care less, though if you try to conduct the entire game in a mock cockney accent I may ask you to stop just for my own sanity.

I mean, GW "translates" the way orks speak. So while it's that cockney accent in english in german books it's a rather unique way of speaking, it has some berlin influences but is far from any actual german accent.
Going from that I'd say it's okay for Muricans to make up their own Ork accent .

Yes I am an old fart.
As.for hillbilly Orks, sure, why not? As an outsider the accent doesn't quite have that same air of quiet menace, unless they're inquiring if I am indeed from round here I had an old idea to try for a small force in the same style as QotSA's Go With The Flow video, but I don't think it would really work nowadays.

It's just not something I enjoy all that much. I'll play to the character of an army, like not giving up ground when I play my Iron Warriors or doing mad charges with my Cults & Militia but I wouldn't be caught dead shouting "Blood for the Blood God" and the such.
Other people enjoy that which is fine, you do you, but if someone is asking they're getting a "Please don't" in reply.

I hadn't thought of that. What is the German equivalent for a grease-monkey bar-fighting lout? I've seen German bikers in their natural habitat and they seemed very different from the American variety.
I think that an American ork (such as it is) would hail from the East Coast, probably Joisey. Get that super-strong New Yawk accent going, like a Goodfella or something.

Only works to an extend though. American shouting WAR on top of their lungs would probably stress the „R“, rather than swallow it cockney-style for WAAGH.

They are hooligans with a heavy overlay of the Mad Max aesthetic.
Americans definitely have a "hold my beer" element to them, and Florida Man is up for everything.
The thing is, the UK has yokels and Yorkshiremen, who are closer in concept to American Rednecks. The Cockney are an urban phenomenon, and that's why guys from Bahston or New Yawk seem more appropriate.
Though there surely is a place for honky-tonk orks.
