Ossies was my first thought, but I could also see shadow elves. In fact, shadow elves in space. While the current Mandrakes don't have anything like this, a rack on the back (usually trophies) is a recurring element on Dark Eldar characters and squad leaders. I could see Mandrakes getting redesigned to have a more organic version of that.

I was thinking it looked like a trident from water elves at first. But yeah I see both those options

Callis and Toll are reputedly getting models via Dawnbringers. Did either have a greatblade?

It looks kind of dark, and the little you see of the blade looks really weathered.
But yeah, on the whole its very "on brand" for cities of sigmar.

I'm gonna throw an adjustment out:

Wildercorps Huntmaster/Huntmarshal. The scabbard looks extremely similar to a bit that the Wildercorps can have on their backs for optional axes/quivers and other gear. I could see us getting a selection of "Freeguild" heroes as a 1.5 wave, since the majority of what we got was actually "Castelite".

I don’t think it’s a weapon.

It might be a stake for artillery or a similar semi-centre piece model.

Has there been any word of a preview after Christmas the way there was last year? I know they're doing this advent calendar again, so I assumed so, but I don't actually see any confirmation of it.

I reckons flagellants as well. Looks like it could be a brazier or similar that is also a mace.

I doubt flagellants need a new kit, so maybe a new character or something..

Perhaps its a weird ornat lever for some kind of contraption. The chain will pull at some unknown mechanism, or perhaps the mechanism will move the torch-like lever to a critical position.
Feels far fetched, but I cant think of any better explanation.

Hold on, didnt the classic chaos dwarfs have lightning bolt icongraphy all over the place.

That specific lightning bolt style at the last pic, for example, is seen as ornaments on Astragoths old school banner pole.

Oh, damn. That would be fantastic.

I can kinda see it being chaos dwarfs, since there’s chains and possibly a lever. But the top of it being wood seems strange and not something they’d use. Plus we’ve seen hobgrots and the horns of hashut, and neither features any lightning motifs
