Obviously I'd love for the price to be lower but I don't think the value is too bad.
It might be a little bit more, we got the 150 from their terms and conditions listing the value for the prize draws, offhand i don't know if VAT is included in that.

Pacific wrote: I had read a few comments saying (and I don't know if it was a hope rather than based on any actual rumours?) GW might finally have looked at the likes of One Page Rules and tried to make something more streamlined and quick to reference and play. These seem more like a .1 revision of the previous rules, is that correct? Asking as someone who hasn't played since 6th edition and is completely out of the loop! To me it seems like that they are keeping what worked well (in their opinion) in 8th/9th and improved on those concepts and only explore new rules for stuff they felt wasn't working well. Not the worst way to go forward in my opinion, but of course the lynchpin of such an approach is their ability to analyze of what is going well. But, to be fair, they quite improved in that regard in the last one or two years. For the most part, core rules were working well, it's the codices which cause most issues in 9th.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |

Obviously I'd love for the price to be lower but I don't think the value is too bad.
It's:
2 combat patrols or equivalent £190 (£95 each)
Full rulebook £42.50
Crusade book £22.50
Card deck/chapter approved £19
We know the nids side has extra:
11 neurogaunts
Neurotyrant
Screamer killer
Which I'll take a collective blind stab in the dark at ~ £80 rrp
The marines "extras" seem to be:
the apothecary
dread
5 flamer dudes as a guess
Again blind stab in the dark at ~£75 rrp
So getting on for £400 of realtive value for £150 is nothing short of a steal. Even against indomitus as above it has the mission cards and a crusade expansion included, so excluding model counts and price rises it'd be a good deal in direct comparison.

If it is $250 USD, than £150 mostly fits, though the exchange rate seems to be going in the wrong direction. The stupid $1.6 per £1 that a lot of things are priced at would translate to $240, not 250.

If you put £150 of product into your cart and then add the same products in the US version, it comes out to $250 exactly. Did it yesterday.

Partly because you can't stand on them.

For previous competitions the given GBP value has included VAT. For example Sisters squad runner up prizes were listed at £35 each in the T& Cs, and released with that as the RRP.

I was going to say the same.
And also add that now you can't stand on them, I'm interested in GW putting out faction specific or terrain specific sets for me to buy. Which I'll then decide are too expensive and convert my own.
