He's on a bigger base, correct? I think that might be part of the issue. It makes him look more Nob sized than a Warboss, particularly since he's similar in style to the monopose Boyz Nob. The choppa also feels small, though I don't think the PK is as noticeable. Also the squig is squished which is probably my big disappointment.

I'm 90% sure he's on a 50mm base, similar to the Beast Snagga boss. I think you're right, with at least the Beast Snagga boss he's very bottom heavy with his pose so he makes the most of the base's space. But the way this warboss is posed (particularly with the base scenery) it makes it too empty and it feels like the rocks are taking up more of the presence of the model at the bottom than the warboss himself.

The raised arm looks very small, but I’m hoping it’s just the photos. So hyped for new ORKS so I may forgive it if it isn’t.

You sure you didn't typo there? 60mm is deff dread/killa kan base size level, which I know for sure the Beast Snagga Boss isn't.

Some reddit geometry nerds have confirmed the new sculpt to be roughly the same size as MA Warboss (minus the gretchin on top, obviously).

I'm not a big fan of the helmeted version, but I guess he is an homage to the original metal one. The alternative built is pretty nice though, it reminds me of the warboss in Blood Shootas and Teef. I might even loot a hairsquig somewhere

That said, I already have 9 warbosses, and I don't even own the current sculpt. Not sure I'm going to buy one.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

So, whilst this of course aligns with Valrak’s rumours about Orks being in the 11th Ed Big Box? This could be something coming sooner.

The packaging in the original social media post is a straight forward character box. And it has various options. Bonce, Banner, Shoota, Squig or No Squig, CCW, Belt,

That’s…that’s way more options than we typically see on Big Box Models. And yes we see models parted out, feels very early for that packaging to be the one “leaked”

I’m wondering if this is for another, as yet unheralded book in the 10th Ed End of Edition range. Which may or may not be coming with other releases. And it’s those releases we might see some of Monday.

They are currently doing their end-of-edition-campaign books with characters for the factions involved. A model send out by mistake means it's already stored in their warehouse, ready to ship. That doesn't really match up with a project plan aiming for an edition launch in summer. Since orks didn't have a book yet, it might also be just the character orks get to go with their book.

Then a gain it's also possible that the source of Valrak's rumor has seen some thematic pictures of ork armies for 11th and the new warboss was just arranged to stand next to the rumored content of the starter box.

The complete absence of changes in the last two datasheets also is quite sure sign that orks will be among the first codices of next edition.
