What a great set of entries all around. I ended up voting for everyone-- except myself, of course. I'll try to find some time for individual comments, but for now, great job, everyone!

Struggling about in Asmos territory.

Holy flip, this was a hard one.. and I feel bad for leaving a few out but really want to keep the ones I vote for under 5. (as a top 5) So this does NOT mean I am not impressed by the others, simply like these the most. So again, sorry sorry sorry to all those who don't see their names in my votes ;( !! Imho most entries were better than my own, hope that softens the pain.

Mothsniper really impresses me with his color-schemes and application. Especially the Aeldari sniper looks stunning with that lavalampish orange. Everything looks so carefully applied, like a bob ross among mini's.

Nevelon's rangers also has a beautiful color-scheme, that bloodred as a spot color is superb. My own Aeldar are themselves decorated with the beige hue but you make them look so much better I almost want to redo my own. The winter camo is pro.

Third place for me is DJJazzyJeff's flaming hottie, the shadow and light is so well done on this mini, and that face.. I want to kiss it. (did I say that out loud? woops..)

Fourth for me in nailing a vote is Pariah Press, that market looks lively and like it took an immense effort adding all the detail, the gunrack is really pulling you in.. and that cook ..LOL, it tells you more than a story, it creates a setting.

Last vote for me goes to theCrowe, I am currently painting a kitbashed Deff myself for the new challenge so may be a little bit biased here, and I do have to add the base didn't really do it for me but the originality of this kitbash, and how it turned out with all the wires, bolts and twonky tonky things.. -THE EYEBROW- and that pirate sword.. It simply looks so much fun that I cannot get around it. It must get a vote.

Anyway, thats it from me!
Great work everyone, I hope to see most of you in the Renewal challenge!

Was glad to be able to participate this round.

Tyranid Horde - Nice and Crispy paintjob! Just enough weathering in right places. Did you use oils for that?

ZergSmasher - Damn solid work! Simple but effective bases. Painting light colors is not easy, and your Bladeguards read well, well done!

Boringstuff - Nice job on the ball, and the base is very nice too. Immediately reminded me of the Thomas The Tank Engine episode with the Boulder.

Flinty - The whole army at once, respect! That BloodEffect was put to good use, and the bases too. I like the way the blues blend into pinks, that transition is nice smooth!

Midget Gems and Jrs- I still can't believe you did a whole converted ork knight, and a collaboration efforts with the 3 Gryph-houds in a month. And the bases got some love too. Damn epic! The Gryph-houds look fun, quite inspirational for me. I too will have to try the multicolor color change, and the bases are a nice touch. Absolute Legends!

Ezki - Epic! That eye man, respect. The white hair is well done, the model just reads well, and fits with the style of the og art work.

Tallandra - More Bladeguards! I like the energy effects on the weapons, the glowing eyes, and the freehand shoulders man! I am always a fan of freehand .

XvArcanevX – Lolz, the "shocked" Hairs of the two lads with the shades is the best I think we got a winner.

Jadenim – Good color picks, and good job on the contrast, the ladies read very well, solid work!

feltmonkey - Absolutely love the way the armor is done, very evy-metal, makes me want to paint something metal-y. Good job on the contrast as well!

Nevelon Jr. – Good job on the black, it is also not very easy to paint, for me it is always hit or miss. Nice and crispy details. I would of loved to see some love for the base

Nevelon – Digging the color scheme! I am a fan of limited color palette like 2 colors and an accent. Respect for the Camo patterns. They just read very well

Vejut - I like your sculpts, the subject matter, and the painting that just ties it all together. I think the bat is my fave At some point hope to brave the sculpting.

MangoChutney - These guys read well, 2 simple colors with two accents, and are very crispy. Damn damn solid work man!

Gulgog TufToof - I like the details in the eyes and the fuses and a slight color transition from top to bottom, but imo the base is like a mini diorama, just adds so much to the whole, very well done!

youwashock - Epicness! I wouldn't not dare to take on project like that in a month, much much respect! Its not just the painting, its the whole mounting and stability, sturdiness ets with a possibility that something could go wrong at any moment. Thank you for the the face closeup, that little green eye and yellow acid teeth is a face only a mother could love . And, like I said before, the reflection on the base adds a whole lot to the the look of the creature. Personally I am not a huge fan of the dragons, but that one nostalgicly took me back to the Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell and John Howe dragon art.

Maharg – Superb work on the terrain bases. The paintjob is clean and crispy, and the models read very very well. Also, whole army at once, respect!

KernelTerror - I like the subtle color work in the legs and the arms, its like you are sculpting around the form with paint. And the wings are Epic. I am no fan of Chaos, but this guy must of been fun to work on!

Mr Nobody - The base, the colors and the contrast. Very nicely done! Quite inspirational, I will keep that in mind for my own future work. The Sword glows much brighter because the rest of the model contrast is toned down a bit. That is next lvl skill imo

DJJazzyJeff - A Dwarf in me approves strongly of everything that is going on here! Very nicely done directional lighting, especially the secondary light! Again, very inspirational, I wanted to do a double-light color scheme for models and terrain for along time. Well done!

Pariah Press - Good paint job with the attention to the details. Very narrative set up, I like the missionaries approaching the camp, something is about to go down for sure

Olthannon – Automatic victory achieved! because dwarfs are the best! I like the gold rims and the banner, O the banner brings it all home. Two colors with one accent,

KidCthulhu - This is like pure history, eventhough a bit before my time, brought forth to the light!
That is: 10 uniquely different painted, old-school sculpt models - everything in that sentence is a big challenge, much respect!
I think that black and orange knight with a shield and a hammer is my favorite.

theCrowe - Very stompy, wild-eyed, heap of chopiness, with a cute little hot water radiator on the back. Very nice!

inmygravenimage - Setting up the scene does help with the narrative. Good job on the color schemes and the details, especially how the base, paints, into the models. I don't think I have ever tried to do that before.

Daia T'Nara - Good job on the contrast and the details, the model reads very well, also was that glitter used for the the ground terrain? Because it looks oddly perfect here. If yes, then must do some glitter tests for my DE bases.

Leopold Helveine - Epic and, imo, very successful conversion. Simple color scheme that works. I know you mentioned something about pictures not coming-out right, and I see some direct light on the model like from a flash, however, oddly enough, that lighting makes the pictures quite cinematic, like a lightning-flash freeze-still from a horror epic. Even the base terrain is washed out in places does even more to reinforce that image. Like I could take your pictures and paint a painting from it as it is.
It reminds me of a painting by Frederic Remington: A Taint on the Wind. How the ground is washed out into almost pure white as they horses are startled in the night.

Geifer - Solid paint job, Good highlights, good contrast, the models read well. And the bases got some love too! Not particularly exiting subject matter for me, but I dig that palm tree freehand!

JoshInJapan - Said it before and will say it again, the old school sculpts are huge challenge, they do not forgive mistakes and force the artist to compensate. And the smooth transitions you are getting out of the old style sculpts is just crazy to me. There are not a whole lot of tricks and shortcuts you can do with those, just skill here, so good man!

Captain Brown - Like the texture, and Love the gems. Also, the subtle weathering on the white is very nice for that contrast!

DrGiggles - Small things, but looks so good! The way the terrain grounds the character into the environment and the plasma glows. Epic! What did you use for that terrain red?

Man-oh-man, what a great collection of models!

DrGiggles: I like your limited palette-- dark grey, red and (off)white really make the glow on the plasma pistol stand out. I like the dust effect on the lower legs, as well.

Captain Brown: One can't go wrong with the classics, and this Alaitoc scheme is OG classic. Your clean white weapons and sparkly gems really pop. Bonus points for how well the pilot and gunner turned out.

me: This is probably the most colorful model I've painted in years. I'm pleased with how the sword turned out, especially the NMM gold. I'm not sure I got the armor right, though.

Geifer: I love all your funky sculpts. Ganjaman's shorts are stunning.

Leopold Helveine: I agree with Mothsniper-- your photos really add the the flavor of the models. I'm not sure I would call them Wood Elves, but they are definitely sinister Fae warriors.

Daia T'Nara: You've done it again-- with "it" being unmentionable in mixed company. The white armor is particularly striking.

inmygravenimage: I like your high-contrast painting on these very busy models. It makes it much easier to read them. +1 for visible brush strokes.

theCrowe: What an amazingly fun kitbask/conversion. I recognize a lot of the parts, but they went together so darn well! I especially love the "face."

KidCthulhu: I do love me some Oldhammer Chaos. I love that the paintjobs on each dude is so unique-- Chaos Champions shouldn't have any kind of unifying theme, IMO. I'm still jealous that you have so many models that I don't.

More comments soon!

Thanks! For the base I glue some sand on for extra texture, then use Martian Ironearth from Citadel as the base red. Once that is totally dry I give it a wash of Reikland Fleshshade followed by a drybrush of Tuskoger Fur. The last step is to use the 'Mars' pigment from scale 75 to add the dust effect to the model and anything else on the base.

Comments for all, round two!

Olthannon: You chose a shocking color combination-- purple and yellow?! That's some Jack Kirby-level stuff there! The darker yellow was a good choice to town down the potential garishness.

Pariah Press: That's a delightful little setup-- everything you would need for a little skirmish.

DJJazzyJeff : I like the directional lighting effects. I think you mentioned in your P&M blog that you wanted to do some more work on the model? It looks pretty well finished in these photos...

Mr Nobody: The darker colors and heavy shadows really make the power sword stand out. Good job!

Mothsniper: I was a little leery when looking at your WIP photos of the robot, but he turned out great. I love how vibrant every model is, and the freehand on the book and the RT's cloak is superb.

KernelTerror: I love all the colors, especially against the white skin. The glowing runes are particularly effective.

Maharg: Purple and gold shouldn't work this well together, and yet you pulled it off. The Slaaneshi rune/symbol on the banner is great-- is that freehand?

youwashock: That's a whole lot of model to finish in just one month. All the little details around the face are especially well done-- they prevent the model from becoming just a sea of red.

Gulgog TufToof: Squib butt! I laughed out loud at that. The transition from purple/maroon to red is very smooth.

Stay tuned for round three, coming soon!

I should probably note the only things I sculpted on these are the bases--everything other than the paint on the actual figures is from Lovejoy, through their company Oathsworn. They are great sculpts, very much showing a party though, I agree! (I have sculpted a purely green stuff figure before, but its...nowhere even halfway close to as good. Definitely like to see what you come up with though!)

It's a cheap 'glitter paint' from the local $2 shop - technically it's purple, but colourwise it 's pretty watery, more like an ink wash visually, just with a very gloopy consistency. I put Shyish Purple over the wraithbone undercoat, then slop on the glitter paint really thick, and leave it to evaporate off and leave essentially just the glitter.

 JoshInJapan wrote:

And there'll be more 'it' this month, for which I'm blaming everyone else - if more people had voted 'pride' I'd be painting wholesome princesses, rather than a venomcrawler with impaled corpse gun turrets and an armoured dong (it's fine, we'll get past this phase - I've already used up 2/3rds of the genitals in my bits box). I've been adding slight white highlights to armour lately, but it's still mainly just Apothecary White doing the heavy lifting. Honestly if I had it all to do over again I'd be using that on my legionaries as well - I started out with blue ink then drybrushing up to grey then white on them, then simplified it to Space Wolf Grey and a single white drybrush, but they still have a blue tinge to the end result that Apothecary doesn't do, and I want to keep the legionaries consistent.

Great work everyone! Lots of lovely minis to ogle in this thread.

I don't think we should underestimate what a hell of a thing it is to have had this competition run for 100 months. It's a credit to the forum and the community. I think there are one or two who have entered every month. That's incredible, and kudos to you. Thanks to everyone who has run the competition over the years - Paradigm, Nevelon, and Midget Gems, plus everyone else who has been involved.

I'm on mobile so this is going to be gruelling, but I always liked to comment on everyone's entry, because if you have taken the time to paint an entry, the least I can do is tell you it's cool! I might have to split this up into sections like JoshInJapan is doing. Why did I never think of doing that?

DrGiggles - Nice work trying the mini into the base. Grimaldus is a cool character in the lore, and I think you have done him justice.

Captain Brown - That's a nice idea with the patterning on the Falcon. Combined with the transfers and details, it makes for a very eye-catching miniature.

JoshInJapan - Really nice work all round. The blending, nmm, and basing are all very good. I love the sword blade.

Geifer - Am I right in thinking that you sculpted these minis from scratch? That's impressive! I'm always a bit in awe of people who can sculpt with green stuff. The painting is good as well, clean and detailed.

Leopold Helveine - This is an atmospheric mini! I like the limited colours, although I would have been tempted to add another accent colour for contrast. Maybe some glowing red eyes on the horse. Horses have glowing red eyes in real life, don't they?

Daia T'Nara - This is very weird! It's pretty gross, which is good because that's obviously what you were going for. Good painting on the highlights and details.

inmygravenimage - Good colour choices and dynamic miniatures. I like the watery bases.

theCrowe - There's obviously a lot of conversion or scratch-building here, and the result is something that is very orky. The big eyelashes are pretty funny.

KidCthulhu - A nice little group of minis. Bold, well-chosen colours. The guy with the axe and shield looks like he's awkwardly posing for a photograph.

Olthannon - Good solid painting. Neat and tidy. That looks like Contrast paint on the yellow (or it could be a wash) and you've done a good job of controlling it so that you don't get too much of that coffee staining or tidemark effect.

Pariah Press - It's always good to have painted scenery and objectives, and you have done a great job on these. They're neat and clean.

DJJazzyJeff - Great painting here. Good skin tones, but the best bit for me is how you've implied the existence of a fire just out of shot. I particularly like the consistency of highlighting the cobblestones the same way to sell the effect.

Mr Nobody - Great painting. I love his grim facial expression. The only thing I personally don't like is the pink power sword. I think it clashes with the red armour, and a contrasting colour might have been better. That's just my opinion though. Overall it's really nice. Superb edge-highlighting.

Mothsniper - Lovely work. I really like your use of colour, and the details such as the book and Janus Draik's coat. I like the bits of cross-hatching as highlights, that's an interesting technique.

KernelTerror - Nice work on the feathers and particularly the runes. I'm not as keen on the colour choices on the face, which don't really link up with anything else on the mini. That's Tzeench for you though, I guess! Overall it's an impressive miniature.

Maharg - Great neatness and consistency across all these minis you've painted. It's also really impressive to have painted so many in a month. I do this full-time and I'd struggle to finish that many in that time.

youwashock - I really like this. It might be my favourite this month. Great definition and tonal variations across the miniature. From what you were saying it's massive as well, so kudos for getting it finished.

Okay, I better do some work. I'll be back to comment on the rest later.

Thanks, guys.

I kind of had my doubts about the shorts, to be honest. I'm starting to think I need a magnifying glass for that kind of work. Getting old and all that. It didn't feel like I worked all that precisely, even by my low standards. And I totally didn't consider the apron getting in the way or else I would have placed the trees differently to get some sky and ocean all around them. Still, it's close enough to what I had in mind.

Yes, I sculpted those models with green stuff, see spoiler below. It's my favorite part of the hobby.

Here are my entries. As I so hopefully said earlier, I'm going to try and get more models painted this time around than I manage on the average month.

Topic: Celebration

The president of Cubana after the election. Presidente salutes his people after an overwhelming 102% of the voters expressed their faith in him.

The president of Terra Nova. Mr. President lights a Fat Banan™ after a long day at the office. Budget meetings are the worst.

Ganjaman celebrating, umm, let me see, uh, that it's... Right! That it's Tuesday morning. Like... Wait! It's Wednesday. Totally celebrating that it's Wednesday, I repeat, Wednesday morning! Morningish. Anyway...

 Geifer wrote:
I fixed Ganjaman's hair. Now his majestic mane doesn't look like a royal mess anymore.

Good thing, too. Presidente is well on his way and won't take much more time to finish. I'd better get started on getting all the basecoats down on Ganjaman. He's still last, but I like smooth transitions. And realistically Mr. President doesn't have much in the way of little dfetail to get bogged down in, so he shouldn't take all that long to paint either.

Hey all, so here are my comments of the entries:

Dr.Giggles - Nice moody work. I particularly like the dusty and arid base and the way the dust has settled on the clothing and armour. Awesome!

Captain Brown - Psychadelic pattern! Great use of colour! Might I suggest a different background colour to the primary colour of the model though? I think it would improve the final result for viewers no end.

JoshinJapan - Excellent work. You really seem to have a distinctive ‘style’ to your paint jobs. I always think your submissions are distinctive and eye catching and this is no different. Also, that sword is badass!

Geifer - I cannot believe how much talent you have to sculpt those figures yourself. Just brilliant. Of course, El Presidente is the best model in all of the competitions. Anyone who wants a long and healthy life understands this…

Leopold Helveine - I love the muted olives, greens and browns of this model. Truly a woodland and autumn theme is there was one. Very atmospheric and lovely work.

Dai T’Nara - This was a great submission and really gets that body horror theme across. Man do you love that body horror theme huh! Yuck. Nasty and great, all at once.

Inmygravenimage - For me, this is all about that gondola. I’m off on a boating holiday shortly so, yeah, loving it,

TheCrowe - Wow, this build has so much character! The rusty and dirty yellow is fantastic… and that rocket looks menacing indeed. Brilliant!

KidCthulhu - This is really clean, eye-catching work. Very nice. Colours choices make everything pop!

Olthannon - Excellent use of colour again in this paint job. I also love the little symbol on the flag and the overall character of the model. Great job!

Pariah Press - My word. The hustle, the bustle, the detail! The abundant detail! You can almost smell the place! Not sure that is a good thing though!

DJ JazzyJeff - This is a lovely paint job. Wonderfully warm and has an almost soothing tone to the whole piece. Very nice.

Mr Nobody - I really like the clean and rich profile of this model. It is very pleasant to the eye and easy to read. Also, love that sword!

Mothsniper - Man, these are truly wonderful pieces of work. I am stunned by the use of colour and the subtle and unique blends you have achieved here. All this while managing to maintain excellent definition between areas. Everything is clean and easy to read and fits together brilliantly. Truly, this for me is the winner. Brilliant.

KernelTerror - This is a very eye catching paint job. Love the glowing runes!

Manage - Wow that chariot is the business! The colour scheme really pops! Great work and full of character!

YouWasShock - I really enjoy picking out all the different hues of red, orange and yellow on the dragons hide here. Very subtle but really attractive piece. Love it.

Gulgog Tuftoof - Nice job… like the base here and the piercing eyes too!

MangoChutney - Very clean, easy to read and nice work here. Great stuff.

Vejut - I really like the work done on the fur here. Also, the use of colour is fun and there’s little doubt a ‘celebration’ is taking place. Nice job!

Nevelon - This band of warriors looks badass. Excellent colour scheme and the work on the eye lenses is crisp. Those bases are brilliant! Atmosphere in spades.

Nevelon jr - Good effort. Dark and brooding FTW it would seem!

FeltMonkey - This is superb and one of my favourites, The overall work is crisp and clear and the use of rich colour really eye catching, The most impressive thing here for me though is the texture you have managed to achieve on different areas of the model. It’s…well… amazing. The leather of the gloves, the rust speckled metal, the smooth skin… very very impressive stuff. Love it. Can you tell I love it? Lol

Jadenim - Vivid colours and love the way you have themes the base rims to match. Very nice!

XvArcanevX - It really is a shame someone has to come along to lower the tone in a wonderful event like this. Seriously, who wants to look at a bunch of pink horrors getting blind drunk and jumping out of a giant cake, You are an embarrassment to this forum. Try to take this at least somewhat seriously next time…

Tallandra - Nice and colourful schemes on display here. Well done!

Ezki - This is another one of best for me. Excellent work on the sword and face here. Very atmospheric piece and wonderfully painted, Nice… I like.

Midget Gems Jr - Colourful and exciting. Well done!

Midget Gems Jr Jr - Also very colourful and exciting. Also well done!

Midget Gems - What an undertaking! Love the battered and cobbled together vibe of this piece. Great stuff! Impressive!

Flinty - Nice pale blues and purples here… a nice clean job… for such yucky and vile things!

Boring Stuff - It’s … bronze.

Zergsmasher - Nice, easy to read and attractive work here. Like it!

Tyranid Horde - Crisp panel lines are always great to see. Nice clean job!

Ok, well those are my comments and observations. No entry for me now until September due to being away on a break so see you all then! Really enjoyed this one!

Continuing the comments...

Gulgog TufToof - Loads of character, and you've picked out all the details nicely. You've captured the model demented expression as well.

MangoChutney - These are really good, and deserve more votes in my opinion. They're a really well-executed Eavy Metal style, with really well done edge highlights. I think the only reason they're not doing better is that people aren't clicking through to see the full sized photo. You can't make much out from what appears in the thread. A tip that Midget Gems gave me years ago, and that I will pass on to you is to resize the photos using paint to about 1000 or 1200 pixels wide before uploading, and then post the photos from the gallery using the full size option. It shows off your work better for those who don't click through, and your work deserves to be shown off.

Vejut - I love that you still have that seemingly unending supply of animal minis. I never see minis like this in any games store, and I suspect the reason why is that you got there first and bought up all the stock. Lovely work as always. Nice colours, nice character, and really nice tartan effect on the kilt.

Nevelon - Great work on these. Good consistency across the bone armour, and the camo cloaks are great.

Nevelon Jr - Good stuff, great work on all the details. You even painted the belt buckle and clasp. Can a mini really be considered finished if you haven't painted the belt buckle? I say not. Great work.

Jadenim - Nice work. Are these oldhammer GW models from the distant past? You've got really nice shades of blue and red there. I'm predisposed to like them because they're wearing the colours of the Galadrieth Gladiators, which was the BB team I played back in second edition. The lady on the left appears to have fallen over at some point though. She's got a bit of grass stuck to her.

XvArcanevX - I mean, just amazing. It's a pink horror jumping out of a cake - it's difficult to apply critical faculties. Why is one of them wearing a bowler hat? Are the ones on the left wearing big sunglasses? It's just awesome overall.

Tallandra - Good job painting these highly-detailed minis. I've painted some of these so I know how fiddly they are. I had to resculpt their stomachs into abs though, which was a pretty scary request. Anyway, great neat work. I like how you've done the swords.

Ezki - Really good painting. The nmm reads well, everything is smooth as hell. The glints on the sword are good, the hair looks great, and I really like the hazard stripes.

Midget Gems Jr - Excellent stuff. If you can't enjoy a bright blue dog-bird then what can you enjoy? The bases are cool.

Midget Gems Jr Jr - An even more colourful dog-bird! I feel spoiled. Lovely bright colours, and I like how the blue body blends into the green legs. Wet blending like that is a pretty advanced technique.

Midget Gems - One of my very favorites this month, and any month. I'm amazed that you finished it, never mind that it's so good. I'd list what I like about it, but it's everything. All the details, the humour, the genius of the kitbash and the quality of the painting. All those checkers! The green glow on the carapace weapon! The Ork face on the knight! It's absolutely epic, and a stand-out amongst all the entries I've seen over the years on this competition.

Flinty - There's so many of them! They're really good too. The fade from blue to purple on the wings of... well whatever that thing is, is great.

Boringstuff - You've done a great job on what is a deeply strange model. Really neat, clean work. Great highlighting.

ZergSmasher - Great work, really neat and clean, with all the details picked out. No abs though. You'll have to read my comment on Tallandra's entry to understand that. I really like the bases.

Tyranid Horde - Lovely neat, clean painting. I particularly like the streaking effects you've done as the weathering, to give the impression of them speeding through the air.

Amazing work, everyone!

While I'm here, thank you to Mothsniper and XvArcanevX for the kind comments. It's always nice to read such good feedback.

There are no logical reasons for the horror wearing a bowler hat, nor any decent explanations for the horrors who opted to wear shades. In fact, it’s impossible to make any sense of anything happening in the diorama. It’s just meaningless chaos. Rock on!

You’re welcome for the comments and feedback, your submission really was excellent! I know it is nice when others appreciate the effort and work that goes into completing a good model

Thanks Feltmonkey, they’re from Greebo games, part of the Florentine Knights kickstarter.

And yes, it was only after I uploaded the photos that I realised one of the girls had been out for a tumble…

Comments for all, continued:

MangoChutney: It's unusual and refreshing to see Marines in drab, military colors. The red lens on the "monocular" turned out particularly well.

Vejut: What a colorful, delightful set of models. The tartan kilt on the bagpiper is a nice touch.

Nevelon: The urban/arctic camo on these guys is really well done.

Nevelon Jr: The dark, dark color choices on this guy make him feel quite sinister.

feltmonkey: The ivory/bone on the tusks and teeth is stunning, as are the black-and-white strips on the armor. The latter make him look like the mugged the ref-- this makes me smile.

Jadenim: These models give me flashbacks to the posters I had on my wall when I was in high school.

XvarcanevX: This whole scene is a delight to look at-- there are so many fun little details that I keep coming back to it.

Tallandra: These are very busy models, and you did a great job keeping all the little details distinct from each other.

Ezki: You have done an outstanding job on this classic character. The NMM gold is particularly effective. The bendy sword is unfortunate, but likely unavoidable due to the material. Thankfully it can only be seen from one angle.

Midget Gems Jr: These are fun, colorful, characterful models.

Midget Gems Jr Jr: The transitions between each "band" of color work well.

Midget Gems Sr: The sheer volume of stuff added to this model must have taken hours to add, and then even longer to paint. The rust is quite effective, as is the glowing "eye."

Flinty: Bonus points for volume! I love your color choices very bright, very alien.

Boringstuff: That's a very brown model. Your highlighting on the face is very effective.

Zergsmasher: It's a little jarring not seeing purple or green in your entry this month, although I guess the tabards count toward the latter.

Tyranid Horde: I'm always impressed by well painted models at this small of a scale. The streaking is at once subtle but quite striking.

This month's entries are all top notch. I loved poring over every photo!

Now showing Catachan Jungle Fighters and World War zombies!

Painting total as of 30th November 2025: 136 plus a Deva King statue

Painting total as of 12/31/2024: 107 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain and two walkers and a quad mech and five giants

Midget Gems Jr Jr - You were very enthusiastic and very certain what colours you wanted to use on what parts.
Midget Gems - proud of my entry, was a lot of work to get it done (being stuck in hotels with work gave me a lot of the time) but had to take some short cuts to get it done within the month, still have a bag of bits that need to go on it and more crew.
Flinty - great work this month, so many models done to a good colour scheme and standard. impressive
Boringstuff - I don't really know what it is but its fun and made me laugh so all good.
ZergSmasher - nice work, the ivory/white turned out well as did the shoulder pads.

What a run and so many amazing entries.
Thank you for Midget Gems for the invite! I'm glad I got to take part on this amazing event.

It is a huge achievement, that you guys have organized one hundred painting challenges. It's a huge number.
Hats of to Nev, Paradigm and Midget Gems. And to each and every one of you, who have taken part. This is what the community is about.

Thank you very much for the comments Mothsniper, XvArcanevX, Feltmonkey, JoshInJapan and Midget Gems.

JoshInJapan: The bent sword truly is a bummer. I bent it back before painting it, but it wanted to get "back into it's earlier form". I will try to bend it again after I've varnished the model.
In addition, I managed to snap her left leg while priming. Took quite a bit of work to hide the seam, but it's still a bit visible from the back unfortunately.
