Daia T'Nara - This is very weird! It's pretty gross, which is good because that's obviously what you were going for. Good painting on the highlights and details.

Thanks That's always the plan, yeah, horrifying but in a show-off-y way because they think what they've done is wonderful.

Dai T’Nara - This was a great submission and really gets that body horror theme across. Man do you love that body horror theme huh! Yuck. Nasty and great, all at once.

I kind of do yeah, I blame Hellraiser (even then it probably wouldn’t have mattered, up until Jamie Clayton made it look so damn hot).

 Midget Gems wrote:
Daia T'Nara - you are building up quite the army with your recent entries, the details on the book are impressive.

Thanks, I’m pretty proud of that book, even though it’s really just little splotches of colour when you look close, not really recreating the original pages and covers in any meaningful way. I did briefly consider fielding a Dark Sororitas army, using the codex rules and calling them Evil Miracle Dice, but it all seemed too much effort, so the gals will continue as they have been up until now, just alternate models for Legionaries - they’re usually aspiring champions and special characters..

And now everyone else, wow there were a lot this round:

DrGiggles: I love that smooth black you’ve done for the armour.
Captain Brown: Really striking bone appearance on the ‘tech’ parts of the Falcon.
JoshInJapan: You really do that old mini justice, it looks like a painting of a painted mini.
Geifer: Great variety of subjects, each very characterful and distinct from one another.
Leopold Helveine: Striking colour scheme with the grassy green against the dark metal.
Daia T'Nara: Congrats on covering the most explicit bit with a chainmail loincloth, that’s a really impressive degree of restraint for us.
inmygravenimage: Very eye-catching minis, and the woodwork on the gondola is really convincing.
theCrowe: Absolutely orky, I love it.
KidCthulhu: I love these old minis, you’ve really done them justice.
Olthannon: That’s a hell of a piece of kit, very impressive.
Pariah Press: Wonderful scenery, especially the canopies, if there weren’t pairs of them I’d believe they were real thin cloth draped over the frames and painted.
DJJazzyJeff: I really like the warm light painted onto the leading surfaces and the flagstones.
Mr Nobody: Great colour palette, really puts the focus on his face.
Mothsniper: So rich in detail, I particularly like the colours on the robot’s chassis and the robe of the whatever-that-is with a head shaped like an aqueduct.
KernelTerror: Lovely vivid colours, particularly the glowing runes.
Maharg: That is an excellent looking warband, I’m sure Slaanesh themself would be delighted.
youwashock: Looks great from any distance but the closeup on the head is really stunning for the intricate detail being picked out by the paintwork.
Gulgog TufToof: He’s so cute! I like the fade from bright red on top to the darker skin on his underside, it’s a nice grounded touch to such a madcap mini.
MangoChutney: Very nice highlighting on the armour panels, and I like the dirty edges of the cloaks particularly.
Vejut: A very colourful trio, the tartan on the piper is a great touch.
Nevelon: I like the muted colours you’ve chosen, the gear stowed on their backs in particular looks spot-on elves-but-in-space.
Nevelon Jr.: Likewise the muted colours of the cloak and the straps holding it are a fun grounded approach to a sci-fi mini, the result is very striking.
feltmonkey: Love the rust and wear on the metal, that plus the dark clothing makes the green of his skin really pop.
Jadenim: Okay I’m not gonna pretend they didn’t have my vote anyway, but the highlighting on their outfits is really catchy.
XvArcanevX: Now that’s a party! Great work rendering such an oddball scene with tons of convincingly painted detail.
Tallandra: Love the deep shadows shaded into the armour colours.
Ezki: Great work on the gold, really catches the look of the artwork.
Midget Gems Jr: Very colourful doggos, I like the red scales particularly.
Midget Gems Jr Jr: The mottled blue-purple on the body is a really good look.
Midget Gems: Jeepers, that’s a hell of a lot of work - so much going on with the mini (if something that big’s even a ‘mini’ anymore) and the paintjob ties it all together perfectly.
Flinty: Great creepy vivid colours on that horde.
Boringstuff: Not entirely sure what that is, but the shading on the skin (?) looks great.
ZergSmasher: I really like how much interest there is in the shading and edges of the armour without compromising the clean look of the squad overall.
Tyranid Horde: Great work, clean and crisp at a glance and then you look closer and see all the exhaust trails and wear on the panels that make them seem very real.

Thank you, Midget Gems and Daia T'nara!

The level of texture on the dragon is nuts. Even more so considering it is hand-sculpted, as far as I remember.

Thank you, I really like it too. Other units also have some dark grey and sandy beige in it alongside the grassy green and dark gold with black metal.
I wasn't too sure wether to add more gold to them and at first did the linework with that.. but I found it to dull the dark gold too much and make it look almost colorless.

OK, It should be past the 5 day vote time. Not the most packed podium we’ve had, but up there. Very fitting for the big centennial.

So let’s start off with the four-way tie for 3rd, with 27 votes a pop.

JoshInJapan - The Paradigm of Corruption – “Paradigm”
Truly the pinnacle of a warrior of chaos!

feltmonkey - Varag Ghoul-Chewer – “Paragon/Celebration”
If you could boil Blood Bowl down to one mini, this would be it. Mean, Green, and charging down the field.

Midget Gems - Looted Knight “Rise of the Machines”
Delivering from the mekshop once again with another amazing orky kitbash.

Bonus group Pic

Tyranid Horde - Imperial Navy - "Catch Me If You Can"
Contrasting with the brutality of the knight, are some crisp Navy fighters.

Moving up to silver, with a two way tie at 30 votes each:

Captain Brown - Eldar Falcon
A more elegant tank from a more civilized time...

Ezki - Canoness Veridyan - "Paradigm"
Stepping straight of the 2nd ed SoB codex cover:

And taking the top spot, with 33 votes:

Mothsniper – Blackstone Heroes - “Centennial”
Amazing collection of uniquely painted characters

And that’s a wrap on the big 100. Thank you all for joining us for this milestone. It would not have happened without the dedicated community. individuals have drifted in and out, but collectively we have kept this rolling along, month after month. Thousands of minis have been painted, many new skills learned, and many painters encouraged. Congrats not only to the winners, but to everyone who participated, this month and all the months before. Amazing work from everyone!
