So belated update.

After many months I finally went through my boxes of identical looking MTO bastions and found...



I have 8 bastions and a sky shield...






Let's see if GW customer service is as good as it used to be

Anyone have any idea if they can replace MTO stuff 3 months later?

From what I've seen, getting them to replace anything MTO is a crapshoot.

Hell, they STILL haven't shipped mine! Guess who's getting another follow-up email tomorrow...

I've needed something replaced for an MTO once and they replaced it without any issue.
This was still within the MTO timeframe though, so getting a replacement after it's finished might be a whole kettle of fish.

They use terrain for projects and dioramas, so they probably have a bunch stockpiled.

I'm sure somywhere there is somebody with 8 Skyshields, and a Bastion wondering what happened.

Good luck. My MTO was stolen (left on doorstep despite being signed for and I had organised for it to be taken to local collection point) and I could only get a refund. I had a mix of everything though so you may have more luck.

There was an old White Dwarf where they used a Skyshield to be the second level built-in landing pad on a three layer bastion.

TBF it does have four hatches that could be opened to climb down the ladders on the legs. Granted, hope you haven't brought any cargo in the Arvus that needs unloading...

I really like it as a kit but I feel like it needs one of the cranes and an Arvus Lighter or another aircraft to "work".

Well, today was a very pleasant surprise.

I'm cleaning up the kitchen & I see the UPS truck pulling up the drive.

Maybe something for my brother's shop needs signed for?

And then I spot the GW logo on the very large boxs tape.
It IS for me!

Turns out it's my MTO Skyshield/Bastion/Bunker/etc order!

It's only a few months late. And as of June 1st GW maintained they've no record of this order....
But here it finally is & its complete.


Let's hope my Tau Gun Rigs arrive in a more timely fashion.

Allegedly, mine are arriving tomorrow - including the Aegis Defense Lines they've been 'waiting' on for months.

So where GW logistics and manufacturing fail, GW customer service comes through.

Eventually.

Sorry for dragging this thread back, but it's round 2 for the Imperial Bastion, Martyr Walls and company!

Might depends of the currency, but here in Canada the Bastion is the same price as last time (80$), the Bunker is a smidge more (63$ versus 60$ last time). No info for the Defence Emplacement (now 63$) and Defence Line (now 75$) as I didn't ordered those and cannot compare prices. I could guess that the Emplacement is similar to the Bunker with a tiny augmentation at least (I think I remember them being the same 60$ last time).

Last time I got 1 Bastion and 2 Bunkers, and love those lil bunkers! And the Bastion a pretty decently chunky piece for the price! This round I'm gonna add both the Emplacement and Walls to complement the bunkers and a second Bastion as it always help when you try for symmetrical battlefield!

Against my better judgement, I ordered a pair of bastions that I neglected last time around. Here's hoping I have better luck.

I keep trying to get out but they keep dragging my back in!

FYI - I ordered a few additional Bastions back in February (Feb 15, 2025) when GW put them back up as made-to-order and they arrived about a week ago (May 29, 2025).

Since we're back on the subject my 'Thin Blue Line' city wall project went well, I did most of the work last summer vacation and finished it over Christmas.



You could probably do something similar with Renedra or Tabletop Workshop's castles (and 3d printing) but then you won't have the Wall of Heavy Bolters which is half the fun.

Still waiting on my order here from Feb 15th. Still "pending" for me.

Excited to get my order as I got a second Bastion in there (waiting for it to paint it along the first one I got from previous MTO batch two years ago) and added some Wall of Martyr and Defence Emplacement to go along the 2 bunker I got before! I painted the bunker and like them enough that I wanted to add to them so it should looks great on the table!

I need GW to do a MTO that includes the Battle Sanctum. Got a project that requires a minimum of 5, possibly 8 total and they go for so much on ebay :(
