They show up in the Target/Walmart kind of places I believe and most hobby shops will stock them because they're a Warhammer product and why not.
GW isn't going to sell them directly and compete with the chains they're selling to. That's a fast way to get blacklisted. They will likely do something with them when discontinued though. That recently Space Marine vs Death Guard Kill Team box set was just selling bundles of previous waves after all.

Barnes and Noble may have them. Target has them on occasion- the local had the blind boxes for sigmar on the shelf for a long time.

Basically they show up in places that sell the board games that often have some repackaged Tyranid sprues

Blind buys aren't my bag. I buy the minis/units I need. If GW makes good money off of these and it keeps them healthy and afloat, so be it. If little Timmy's first contact with Space Marines and the 40k Universe (TM, PP, R, C) is from the Space Marine Hero's bags they happened upon at Target, then great. Especially if they then get their parents to check out a GW store, or a game store, or look online to find out more. Hey, a new hobbiest.
Again, it's a miss for me and probably most of us here on DakkaDakka, but I can see the benefits of them.

Balance dataslate is up in the downloads section of the Warhammer Community website.
Nothing particularly major that I've noticed after a quick glimpse, bit of a change to the Tau Kauyon detachment and a ruling that Mawlocs don't get terror from the deep in Subterranean Swarm if arriving via Burrow.
Also some changes to Death company in boarding actions.

Parasite
Pyrovore
Some elite unit
10 gaunts of some flavour

Close. The biovore is a duel kit with the pyro, and stealers not gaunts. Which makes sense. What kind if nid discount box doesn’t have stealers? Everyone needs more of them!

That Wolves box would be pretty neat were it not for the Wulfen.
Sworn Brethern, Bladeguard, Primaris Crusader Squad, and an Emperor's Champion is an interesting Combat Patrol.

The guard with nothing to protect did strike me as odd. Missed the ripper swarm lack. It is a combat patrol, so the units will be slimmed down bespoke rules. So they might do something different?
I could use the biovore and guards, but not the parasite or stealers, so probably a miss for me. At least if you are adding this onto one of the starter forces there is no overlap, so nice next step for new players.

Maybe its Hive Guard with the shooters, not Tyrant Guard.
Isn't the current kit a dual build?

If only, instead of stealers we had hormagaunts with rippers.

The guard kit is a duel build with the shooters, but that’s not what’s in the picture/article.
Hormagaunts might have been a better choice, but are half the points of the stealers. Might have wanted a fast more punchy CC unit. Or just to move away from gaunts, as they have been spamming them a lot lately.

Now I hate the concept of blind buy in its entirety for all the reasons mentioned. But it's popular in Japan for whatever reason. So it's a product and market strategy that GW have jumped on board and produced for. So be it. But the entitlement of demanding that it be made in a way 'you' (not you you) want when it's not aimed at you just because you might like it, is also what I have issue with.
Is expressing a preference really the same as a demand, though...?
I'm seeing a lot of people in this thread doing the former. Not sure anyone's actually done the latter.
According to some, not buying blindly (pun intended) whatever GW release is entitlement.
As for the release in itself, really not a fan of blind box. Even more so that there's only 7 sculpts, so your chance to get a duplicate is really high after you buy 3 or 4 boxes. These sculpts are atrocious though, so there's no chance i buy even 1 box

They tend to keep the same price point? All CPs on the webstore are either $168 or $170. So unless they boost the price, should be thereabouts.
But no firm data at this time as far as I know.

Honestly, if you feel bad about your Combat Patrol, go take a peak at the Grey Knights. You'll feel better about your own box.

It is an excellent expansion box for someone that is expanding their army from the Leviathan box.

Grey knight models are still good looking, just the old proportions. Wulfen are just poor.

If Space Hulk happens I'd expect all new models and poses so I won't hold off on that. The only downside is that I finally got my Parasite model so I don't need one now - otherwise that's a neat set for those expanding their swarm.

That's a really great Tyranid combat patrol.... For anyone who got the starter set. As a combat control for a new player it's pretty bloody rubbish! No real "core identity" Tyranid units other than the stealers!
Edit - Whoops, just repeating Tyran!
The parasite special rule spawning in ripper swarms is really cool, harkens back to older editions and just the sort of thing I don't expect to see in 10th!

I mean that's basically the entire point of the model - and it took ages to get that model too. GW had it in the rules years and years back but it was during their phase of "release rules forget the models" just before Chapterhouse court case blew up.
