Scotland, but nowhere near my rulebook

I'm pleased with how these guys turned out (and even more pleased that I finished them in time for a tournament last weekend)

Presenting Captain Cyrus and Ancient Milo

They will, indeed, wreck most things but prefer a big choppy polearm / naginata/ salvaged bit of librarian dreadnought to a ball

Wow! There are some AWESOME contenders finished already! Genuinely, loads of really brilliant work. I already know voting is going to be super tough…again!

I am calling this fella done. My first foray into the world of ‘robotic’ miniatures… only painted organic stuff so far. I have to admit, I had an absolute blast working on this model. Loved every second of it. In particular trying to get the weathering, dirt and battle damage onto the panels was just a lot of fun and a nice change from glazing and highlighting skin…

I will be building more mechs in the future…

Here he is… his name…. is Robert Paulson…

Mostly, on my phone.

Lovely work on that strider.

Struggling about in Asmos territory.

One Ork 100% finished and on its base, will still add some detail to the base though.
Second Ork (angry savage is his name! brotherrr) is being painted atm in the flashy pallet of legends.
Third Ork will probably still need some green stuff on his ball (NOT THAT BALL)

p.s. robert paulson will definately get one of my votes, thats a beauty.

The Apocalypse tank is finally ready I was so afraid that I won't finish it in time I complete it a week early . It was very fun to build and paint, and I like how it turned out.

Nicely done.

The sloping hull and separated back treads give me OGRE vibes. Needs a conning tower, not a turret.

Totally! I was thinking OGRE as well.

Some really great work, guys! Shaping up to be another good month.

Plodding along, myself. Time, motivation and illness dogging me. But there's been some progress, even if it looks about the same as before.

Long weekend coming up. Should be able to get this beast in shape.

Yeah actually did some work on Angry Savage again, using the color scheme of the wrestler he's based on (randy savage) in FLASHY rosy pink and eye-incinerating marker yellow. Also made his weapon look wooden to honor the code of arms in wrestling. (usually chairs etc)

The 3rd Ork is also being peppered, still need to do both their bannerstands to their backs but did start on them, and also need to do some lining.

Lastly will add some fluff to the bases in the form of miniature chips/leaves.

dw on robert paulson, his name shall not be forgot.

Running out of month. Let’s all make good use of the remaining days to finish up our projects.

Next month is the open round, so start lining up that if you need to source bits or finish builds.

Despite delays brought about by important matters like catching every fish in NieR: Automata (haven't done it yet, but working on it), she's done.

Slaaneshi Terminator Lord Obsidia:

I'll be the first to admit that's a pretty mediocre Botticelli, but he had 2.8m of canvas and I had a shoulder pad the size of a blowfly's butt. Why is it there? Watsonian answer, I like to imagine the Emperor, for all his faults, made a point of preserving copies of humanity's great artworks in a vault somewhere so they'd survive our various self-inflicted dark ages until he got fed up and took charge personally, and the Emperor's Children would totally plaster it all over their armour at every opportunity, even once they'd gone nuts. Doylist answer, doing a warband with no uniform warband symbol because they're too egotistical and insist on all doing their own individual thing means I'm out of easy ideas for what to put on their blank shoulder pads, so the first thing in my line of sight when I'm trying to think of something wins. Come to think of it I could get quite a few squads out of the Animal Crossing art gallery.

Joining the party fashionably late.

Been playing Baldur's Gate 3 so much during the last few months, that the game has invaded my painting desk as well.
So who better to represent the "Wrecking Ball", than the "Best gal Karlach".

Got the model two days ago from a friend. Fresh from the printer.

Progress pics from last night.
First one in spoilers, as it's without the chest piece and NSFW.
Spoiler:

Test fitting the armor piece, which will be glued on after the underlying model is finished.

Ways to do before it's done, so not sure if I'm going to manage before the deadline.
No pressure though, it's done when it's done.

I decided to post one last pic for my entry:

The minotaur was originally going to be my entry but, once again, I didn't take a proof photo. So I went with the knight.
I like to do a little in situ photo when I'm done with all the angles.

Mostly, on my phone.

The 27th is the perfect time to start an extra model, right?

The critter on the left is the replacement Varcolac (gyspy werewolf) that TT sent me, however, they sent me the new female sculpt so I've converted it into a Moon Eater (addition of ropes and runes) which is an extra vicious, destructive, soul-sucking version of the beastie. The extra Agalope has also had the mouth resculpted by me and, if it turns out better than the miscast one, will replace it. Hurry hurry!

Was going to do a BattleMaster mech from the start of the month, but it was pretty mediocre even by my standards, kinda holding out to see if I could slap together something better, and then I got the new Sir Guy the Red from reaper saturday, and kinda finished him in one sitting that night. Less of a perfect fit for the theme, but I like the painting much better, so...

Just about done. Model is finished, just need to varnish and base. Couple teasers.

Tried something a little different. We'll see how it all turns out. And another pic, too close for comfort.
