40K - Necrons - Orikan & Cursade Expansion
Nice one! A good interpretation of the character, and a long needed plastic replacement. I just hope Necrons will get some more plastic with their book. The Crusade book is nice I guess.

40K - Dark Angels - Asmodai & Deathwing Knights
Thank goodness those smoke bits are optional! A great model overall. The DW Knights are... solid. Nothing too fancy (good), and they are not drowning in bling (even better). For some reason I still prefer their older, more cartoony version, and I don't know why.

AoS - Flesheater Courts - range refresh & Ushoran
Just spectacular! This is what the models should have looked like from the very start. I love pretty much everything about the FC range refresh, with that wig-thing judge being the one exception. Not that I am overly interested in using these for AoS, but they would make great material for TOW and a ghoulish not-Bretonnia army - undead Pegasi and all!

Underworlds - New Kruleboyz
I could hardly care less. Pretty low level for what I came to expect of Underworlds models.

HH - Mk.6 Assault Marines
Nothing new here really - but good to see them for real and painted. Getting options is nice. I wonder if the torso/jumppack parts are compatible with the new Mk.3 kit?

Necromunda - Enforcer Tauros
Great looking interpretation of that old FW design. I can see this in lots of different 40K armies - Orks, Guard, Cults. Possibly HH Militia? Either way, cool model.

Kill Team (40K) - Night Lords
Pretty darn great! I like everything I see. This kit should work perfect for KT, 40K and HH. Having the bat ears downsized but still noticable was the right choice. I expect this kit to be sold out for at least the coming year...

TOW - Tomb Kings Dragon
Both the highest high and the lowest low for me tonight. The dragon kit is nothing short of amazing! Both options work for me, and I had hoped for somethign similar 10 years ago. I can not wait to get my hands on this one, and I am very much looking forward what else TK will get. However! Old skeletons? Really, GW? REALLY?! Of all the things they could have missed with the TK relaunch, this is the biggest blunder. A discussion for another thread though...


Overall: solid. Lots in this one for me, with some stuff I would very much have seen more of (HH! TOW!). Anyway, it is what it is. Next!

Dang, I wanted those Deathwing Knight swords for Cataphractii Deathwing Companions, but the models look too good with them to take them away and too difficult to convert to Cataphractii. Guess I'll just have to make a 40k Deathwing army.
Interesting that the Assault Squad comes with lightning claws for both hands, but disappointing that it has no other weapon upgrades.

Pariahs were my favourite unit from Dawn of War 1 and given the book is called "Pariah Nexus" I might of got a touch over excited.

Yeah but this is Heresy, where units are 2 or 3 times the size of their 40k counterparts. 10 is generally a minimum. Assault squads should be in a box of 20.

I'd be surprised if this box is less then $100AUD.

All in all, good preview. FEC are amazing and I'd be seriously tempted if I wasn't holding out for Skaven or Chorfs. Assault beakies are great and I hope they're out ASAP.

I hate Ushoran, he doesn't even look like a GW model, he looks like Mierce Miniatures model.

Absolutely love everything else about FEC. Shame Varghulf lost his wings but oh well, the "pegasi knights" make up for it.

Usually horn fighters look pretty lame but that horn Kruleboyz looks badass.

I am BEYOND excited about getting those FEC models. Man, been waiting for this and it absolutely blew my expectations out of the water. What a refresh! Awesome..

So a classic of GW to do a mild preview. Sad that the admech get the one mini to be added while everyone else gets at least a couple.

Flesheater Courts minis are absolutely fantastic. Probably some of the best GW minis I've seen in a while, very impressed with their character. I always liked the Strigori in Fantasy so I quite enjoy seeing them (un)alive and well. These and the Cities of Sigmar are just top notch, not a fan of AoS but as a tiny plastic enjoyer it's all very nice.

The few Dark Angels are pretty cool, love the new Deathwing Knights, I like that they reduced the size of their weapons because the prior minis were just comical. If they release these in a Combat Patrol with a DA sprue I'm gonna get it for my DA army that accidentally exists. Asmodai I'm not too fussed about, I'm extremely glad they have a backpack without the smoke because I don't like the look of that at all. It's very hit and miss as to whether they can get that to look good or not.

I'm glad the Venator is plastic, used to have the FW one for my drop troopers. But like the Scions those Enforcers are ugly ugly sinful minis so not for me, might procure it for an IG army I might build in the far future.

Night Lords Kill Team is it? Apparently an Orky shrug emoji was never added which is a shame. Couldn't give a monkeys considering there's plenty other Kill Teams out there. I suppose the benefit would be if you already had a Night Lords army you could use the bits to add to other units in your Chaos army? But I bet you only get enough for the 10 in the box..


Big reveal for me is the Tomb Kings dragon which is a belter. Can't remember who said it when I was scrolling through sorry but the fact it looks crocodilian is an excellent touch and I totally agree. GW have always done top of the line dragons and this is no exception eption. Nice big palanquin for the rider as well which is a plus so you don't just fall through it every time.

Orikan is a great addition to Necrons. Trazyn next?

Night Lords. Nice looking kit, but I’m not fussed for the Legion myself.

Dark Angels stuff is top notch.

Orikan represents another bit of Finecast purged from the Necron range.

Ushoran is an awesome model!

Yeah, FEC ruled this preview. They got such a glow-up. They've gone from a tiny handful of units that all look old to a real army list with options and flavors.

I honestly would love to see the same for Fyreslayers next.

Flail one Kruleboy is my favourite from the new Krew.

Ushoran is one of the best models they’ve done tbh, and may have sold me a FEC army. Luckily the rest of their new stuff is also pretty damn good.

I still can’t believe the old Tomb Kings skeletons are coming back.

DA Knights are a worthy upgrade. Asmodai is okeish.
