Voted for the humble Termagants as they are both looking great, and the worthy update as the same time.

What I planned to vote wasn't available yet(so next year's list) so Legion ruins for me.

It's going to be Johnson, because space marine and primarch. But my vote is split between Ionus and the Harbinger of Decay.

The Harbinger probably should win, or Tahlia Vedra. But I agree The Lion will walk it, and not unreasonably, it is a fantastic model.

Same. Hopefully next year it will be there as it is a truly awesome miniature.

Adeptus Arbites (best troop box) or Harbinger of Decay (best single model) for me.

Hard choice for me as GW released several really awesome Tyranid models.

The new lictors are awesome for their very classic to the art poses; the new gaunts are sweet and a justly deserved upgrade.

I was also tempted by the biovore/pyro kit as it was a huge reworking and a very different take on a model that has for years been rather an ugly duckling in the Tyranid range. IT still stands out apart from the others in design; but its no longer the ugly duckling (its now a swan? )

In the end I voted for the new Norn kit. Whilst its not their most diverse bigger kit, it is honestly a kit I appreciate for its size. I know everyone wanted a knight sized monster, but at the same time I appreciate it for being a large but sensible (by modern standards) model. Ergo it fits in a darn bag without filling the whole main space on its own. It also fits on a table and its honestly a nice practical big.

Honestly I'd wager the Harbinger will rank high and I'd be very surprised if it doesn't rank in the top 5-3

I went with the Terminator squad, not the least because I actually bought a box. Which isn't something I can say about any of the big centerpiece models. But yeah, one of those is bound to win. Still, I wanted new Terminators for a long time, so there's no way I would pick anything else.

For me it was a tough call between the vanilla Slann and the new FEC batriders.

It has zero chance against the big flashy stuff, but Freeguild Cavalier Marshal for me.

It would be nice if they had categories, like they do w/ the Golden Deamon. Best individual, best squad, best giant thing. And then all in open round.

Because there were a lot of great things this last year that will not get the time in the spotlight because they are in the shadow of the giant centerpiece modles.

Ivya Volga. Runners up would be the Screamer Killer and Neurolictor.

I gavemt vote for Vashtorr. He represents a truly unique daemon concept they've not explored very well before, the sculpt kicks ass and opens the door to a whole new look/faction.

I voted for The Lion because I'm a die-hard Dark Angels fanboy and because his model is amazing, but honestly there were so many good choices. 2023 has been a great year to be a Warhammer player in terms of new models, whether in the grim darkness of the far future or in the Mortal Realms (or in the land of Middle-Earth, but they only got the Gondor buildings and the clear plastic Dead of Dunharrow this year, so...eh).

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700
