Someone got it.

But really it looks a tad too bulky in the back department.

GW:"Space marines got too many options to balance, therefore we decided to legends HH units."
Players: "why?!? Now we finally got decent plastic kits and you cut them?"
Chaos marines players: "Since when are Daemonengines 30k models and why do i have NO droppods now?"
GW" MONEY.... erm i meant TOO MANY OPTIONS (to resell your army to you again by disalowing former units)! Do you want specific tyranid fighiting Primaris? Even a new sabotage lieutnant!"
Chaos players: Guess i stop playing or go to HH.

I assume there will be alternate bow guns? Maybe a panel for when you don't want a bow gun? Because i have to say the dual flamer in that render looks rather awkward with how far it projects from the front.

while i know that part of it is the need for players to know what the weapon is, but i suspect you could cut back the length of those barrels by a good 70% and have the barrel shroud directly against the casemate mount and people would still recognize them, while looking a lot better.

after all you don't need a very long barrel for a flamethrower, as the Sherman Crocodile and Churchill Crocodile show. and most of the pumping mechanism is going to be inside the hull.

a stub barrel would look a lot better than the long one currently on it.

I'm also whelmed (a few too many vision ports that look a bit too blocky for my taste, amongst other points already made), but I'll still pick up a couple for my not-imperial-guard WA soldiers (if the price is right here in Aus...) to then keep playing one page rules with!

A cupola turret like on the soviet MT-LB would be a really nice optional replacement for the hatch and pintle gun.

Being that the skeleton is wearing a Waterloo Helmet and riding an older model chariot it looks just right.

However, the article says the helmet was too thin to stand the rigors of combat, and was either decorative, or as it was found in the Thames, a votive offering.

Maybe he's supposed to be wearing whatever he was buried in, which might include some symbolic headgear. Not like he needs to protect his brain anymore (depending on what type of undead he is, I suppose).

He is a Revenant from an Oathmark range.

While I get that it's necessary for the vehicle to masquerade as a Chimera, I don't like the nose mounted weapon with that design. Looks awkward. I'd be inclined to recess it in under the front.

Other than that, I like it. Solid and utilitarian.

@Shadow Walker- That looks rather good.

I ordered some Bronze Age Chariots and a box of Persians. I am really looking forward to getting them together for some ancient chariot action! Probably can't get 4-horse chariots going but I will settle for 2-horse for now.

So WGA's great secret is they are going to release a few sets in 15mm. Does anyone know what the theme will be for this release?

Where'd you hear that?

The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.

I see. Well, it looks ancient.

Squinting at the silhouettes I'm gonna say Warring States.

Are they Samurai? The ones in the middle kind of look like they have back banners... and the helmet shape kind of looks right. The bows are hard to tell.

Have there been anymore hints at what they are working on together with Reptilian?

Good God no. We will never make "those nasty little 15s" as Bryan Ansell rightly called them! 15s are the worst of all sizes and do nothing well. I have spoken.

So it's whatever Warlord is doing? Smaller?

Warlord is doing several different sizes within their Epic ranges apparently. The ACW figures were 13.5mm from foot to eye. The Pike and Shot guys come in around 14.5mm foot to eye by my calipers. I haven't seen any of the Waterloo ones in person and the Punic wars aren't out to the public yet. I don't know if the ACW were considered too small (like their Imperial Romans) and they had to adjust the scale up a bit. Or if they just pick slightly different but close sizes for each range for some reason.

But to answer your question - no we're not doing anything in any of those sizes (which are basically 15mm kinda sorta and I want nothing to do with that!).

We'll have a lot to say on the subject within the next week!

I am so happy WGA for that clarification. I was worried you were going to some 'epic' scale based on your teaser of "something small is coming".
Keep up the fantastic 28mm miniatures that you excel at with each of your releases.

Wargames Atlantic posted this 5 days ago talking about bases. Are the archers on the base with the quar from something? Or do you think this is what they are going to be doing?

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I can’t tell if those are plastic or metal but I haven’t done much browsing at stuff in that scale.

The "archers" look like 15mm ashigaru with jingasa helmets and bent spears to me, Smokestack.

EDIT: no, those are daikyu, not bent spears (I got a better look when I enlarged the pic)
