Sure, but maintaining and able to produce all those SKUs? That is not easy to do.

Granted, I am no expert in this space.

Two "New" Hard Plastic Sets! (Let Us Explain...)
Today we're excited to announce two "new" hard plastic sets. We say "new" because they are both new versions of previous releases that we think you'll really like! Let's dig in!

First up we have our first Army Box: Skeleton Army! We've taken the frames from WAACF001 Skeleton Warriors and WAACF007 Skeleton Cavalry and Chariots and absolutely filled up a giant box with them to give you a grand total of: 18 Horses, 4 Chariots, and 85 Skeletons! A whopping 23 frames of plastic!

We also have a new Les Grognards box! When we designed the original Grognards we made the 1/2 frame of 3 infantry bodies you know and love and a 1/8 frame of extra heads. We then made another 1/2 frame just of heads and we've mixed these two head frames in the boxes ever since depending on which ones were being produced (depending on the other set that was on the other side of the mold). Well, as the Grognards continue to be super popular the head frame situation got out of hand. And the set on the other side of the 1/2 frame of 3 bodies was getting TOO much production.

To make things easier on us, and to give you something extra for the Grognards, we've retooled the original frames onto one full frame. BUT we've also added a completely new body pose along with a new set of rifle arms. So most of it will be the familiar set you've known but you get a new pose. Each of the new boxes will have 6 of these full frames giving you 24 figures with ALL those head options (with and without gasmasks!)

Both of these sets will go on pre-order next Friday January 31, 2025!

That is a lot of stuff and SKUs. I hope they are not overstretching themselves. This is a common issue with growing companies that often leads to pre-mature closures.

That is my big fear as well. I am excited for them, though!

Good to see they've lasted long enough to start updating older products!

Perhaps that could mean a revision of the Raumjägers so they are less wide and more variants.

I'd kill for a not-kasarkin style raumjager. I know there's the full stormtrooper models they sell but they look very leggy/less heroic scale to me.

Got into the sneakfeet and female penpals (a typo but a hilarious one I will not edit!) the other day. Great kits, especially cool how the penal sets compliment each other so well. I made a Sgt with a sniper scope on her pistol and one holding two knives with a third strapped to her back

That would be a cool option, I would be happy for either but if Raum were made to look closer to the artwork that would also be a really nice improvement.

was checking the wga website for other reasons, but i happened to see that the skeletons box is out now; after looking at it closely, i'm now being tempted to start a tomb kings army... for a third of the price, the box comes with more than the tomb kings box gw offers, sans dragon and character. could buy two of the box and the dragon on its own and the price would be the same...

not making any snap purchases now, but it's under heavy consideration for the future. hope wga do other boxes like this in the future!

Do note that the "85 dudes" includes chariot crew and horse riders, you don't get 85 infantry.

ah, important note. still, two of the box is significantly more infantry, and still for less money overall

I'm eh on the Quar infantry but really excited for the potential of the Quar tractors. Definitely interested to see the future tractors and if they could be bashed together easily.

Another set of hard plastic bases from us:

These will be very useful when Green Ronin's Expanse crew set is released.

50mm textured bases are about to hit the stores also.

Pre-orders for the Villagers and Guards Classic Fantasy sets open tomorrow. And the Samurai Command and Orcs in Grand Battle Scale are coming up fast.

Just dropped two other secret projects into tooling as well. Lots on the go! Two injection presses are running pretty much non-stop now to keep up with restocks and the increased number of new releases.

Those are excellent. Especially as the Champ Industries Industrial theme plastic bases (Similar style) are so hard to come by these days.

The bases look great, I wonder if you could do a "base upgrade" sprue too, bits you can throw onto bases to enhance them, maybe even turn a base and the bits into an objective marker etc?

I looked for those bases on the website but couldn't find them. They look great for adding some flair to Zombicide Invader survivors.

My only issue with the bases is they are mostly "centered". The designs are focused with the center being right in the middle of the base, when multiple models are on that same design base it really shows. if the bases are off center focus then you can at least spin the base to change the focus and make them look more varied. Also, that centered look makes it seem like the models are walking to their stage directed spot.

Overall quality looks good, just my pickiness.

February 10, 2025 Wargames Atlantic
Vox Populi Redux!
Welcome Citizen! Here at Wargames Atlantic we believe in the power of democracy!

From our earliest beginnings, we have polled wargamers to find out what we should make for you. The Famous Friday Poll on Facebook has questions for you every week. And a number of our sets have become a reality through various polling and contests including, but not limited to: Aztecs, Conquistadors, Grognard Cavalry, Skeleton Cavalry, WW1 Russians, Conquistador Cavalry, Renaissance Heavy Cavalry, Afghan Cavalry, and the BEF.

We launched our Vox Populi program in January of 2023, revised it later that year, and have been seeing how things go ever since. The idea was a multi-step process of voting through immediately redeemable gift voucher purchases, then having the top set in the voting go to a second round of pre-production orders, and once the $6000 target was hit we'd make it. Pre-production backers got a nice discount and a chance to have something they really wanted made in hard plastic.

We fear it was too complicated and in today's world of constant attention-demanding "stuff" you had to be too into it to understand how it all worked. So today we're re-launching the Vox Populi idea in a new, simpler format:

First, we wanted to make sure that we recognized what had come in V1 of the program. In looking at the most recent voting, we realized the Top 4 had 60% of the total votes for the 12 in the list.

So we've taken those top 4 and moved them directly into production to join the Dark Ages Army Builder and the Warring States sets that are already in process!

Now, going forward we've dramatically simplified the process. It's one vote for all the sets that are on the list and we'll just take the leaders and move them to production as we go. As sets come off the list we'll add new ones on based on your #voxatlantic hashtag suggestions and additional polling.

No multi-step process, just pure vote totals. All these sets will be made eventually, but this will ensure that the ones you REALLY want get made first.

We've also added a section at the bottom of the new Vox Populi page that shows the current status of the sets that have moved to production. You'll be able to follow along as they flow through the various steps to become hard plastic.

Thanks for all who have participated so far and we welcome everyone to get their votes in! Also visit the forums to discuss the various sets and add your ideas and wishes to the list.

Thanks again and Happy Wargaming! Vote here!

I am 5/6 on those... And only because I have no games for Napoleonic stuff. I am looking forward to the Halfling cavalry so I can finally finish my halfling army. When those are released I will also need 2 or 3 more boxes of the halfling infantry.

The Goth... I mean Dark age army builder I am looking forward to. I will use up a good majority of my left over conquistador heads and arms on them. 2 boxes makes 96 foot troops. Which will be 3 big blocks of 30 with some spares.

The Warring States stuff... I am still on the fence about. I want them... but not sure if I will end up getting more than a box,

I can't wait for the Modern Operators to be released, hopefully followed by the Insurgents.

It is pity that the Gangsters dropped off the voting list.

The gangsters are off the list for a very good reason. Check back in 2026.

Under license? Great Escape Games? Or, dare I dream, you're publishing Hardboiled from the 1 box challenge
