Friday email did say they're wrapping up delivery soon and going to retail, starting with an army box and the Mauler.

I'm sure they'll deliver, but since they've not even started the non-USA fulfilment yet i cant imagine them getting done before the end of the year now

especially when all the couriers start giving excuses as to why their vans are full of Xmas stuff and they don't have space to do the pick up they promised, or they'll do the pick up but only take 1/4 of the load they were expected to

Yea getting it done in December is iffy. And given the apparent pace of US delivery, pause aside, I'm not sure they could get everything out the door in a month even on a different month.

If they are about to wrap up then I appreciate an update on how many of us are remaining. Even Uncle Atom from Tabletop Minions is still waiting on his delivery. I was hoping to have my shipping notification before the Black Friday sales ended but no luck.

The News and Rumors section is all about surprises. I'd certainly hate it if we got 100 posts saying "I know something you don't know..." - malfred

I'm not one of the folks who had to send in their sprue selections recently. Mine were in correctly from the beginning.

December 5, 2025 Wargames Atlantic
Introducing Sprue Game!
Let's get a little crazy once more!

It's time once again for Wargames Atlantic to embrace the unknown and leave our fate in the hands of our dear customers and fans! In the past we've held a contest to vote for a pair of traditional adversaries. The winners of that contest were the Conquistadors vs Aztecs. We also did a contest that resulted in the Landsknecht Ogres. And we've asked for lots and lots of hard plastic ideas over the years.

Let's do it again! This will be a multi-stage contest that will result in a new 10mm or 28mm hard plastic set!

Here's how it works:

Step 1: today we open up submissions (using the form below) to enter your ONE idea for a new 10mm or 28mm hard plastic set. Those who want to participate will submit just the title of a set like WW2 Home Guard Postmen or Post Apocalyptic Candy Stripers or Twin Suns of Mars Orphan Pickpockets. Please don't ask for Star Wars Stormtroopers or Game of Thrones Lannisters or Dune Sardaukar or (the gods forbid) anything Games Workshop related!!! (as we don't own the rights to make ANY of those!) You will also have to use the dropdown menu to choose the range your entry fits into or, as we know some of you will, the "Other" category.

Don't do this. (Art of Quigonjim)

Step 2: after we've received enough entries we'll put them to the vote. This vote may be done in rounds (if there are a huge number of entries) or divided by category depending on what comes in. Eventually we'll reduce them down to your Top 10.

Those who submitted the Top 10 ideas will each get their choice of a Wargames Atlantic plastic set. In the case of duplicate entries it will be determined on a first-submitted basis. You are allowed one submission per person and only the first submission will be counted.

So many choices!

Step 3: the Top 10 will be put to a vote with the winner going into production. We'll include the community in every step of the production process from the creation of the sculpting brief, to first work-in-progress renders, to 3D prints, to the sprue layout, the illustration for the box, the painted figures, and finally to the sprue itself. Whoever submitted the winning entry will also win your choice of any 12 existing or upcoming plastic sets!

Another 'vote on kit idea submissions' contest is up.

https://wargamesatlantic.com/blogs/news/introducing-sprue-game

I went with my Medieval Monks / Pulp Cultists dual kit idea again. I got to the finals last time, netting me a box of lizardmen. But then people voted for Lansknecht Ogres...for...some reason.

Aww, man, in a contest like this I'd go for Klingon warriors immediately :(

I went for 'General Accoutrements: Dogs'.
Loads of kits have an odd dog, but I feel there is room for a whole box of them on the market. You can add one or two to plenty of armies, and roleplayers love pets for their characters.

Other ideas I was tempted to suggest (feel free to steal and submit if you like):
Various Lovecraft monsters - all in public domain, many lacking decent representation in miniature form. The 'elder things' from At the Mountains of Madness are the hardest to find miniatures for, and seem well-suited to a multi-part kit (couple of bits for the body, folded and unfolded wings, few sets of tentacles, assorted feet and heads). Deep Ones / Classic Fantasy Fishmen / Tritons / Gill-men etc. are another option, as are the 'fungi from Yuggoth' (Mi-Go according to Chaosium, but that isn't really consistent with The Whisperer in Darkness), Cone-Beings (the old hosts for the Great Race of Yith), and ghouls of the rubbery dog-face variety.
There are a ton of options for animal kits. Either something like a pack of ordinary wolves (possibly with some weird parts for fantasy / horror) or a collection of themed animals (e.g. North-American wildlife with bears, cougars, coyotes, rattlesnakes, etc. beasts of burden with camels, mules, and so on with a load of pack bits, horror animals with bats, rats, centipedes, and the like).
Maggots, worms, and leeches. The giant maggots from the Weird War sprue are so good (and, I'm sorry to say, the rest of the sprue is so bad) the sculptor should really be allowed to expand into a kit dedicated to horrible soft-bodied invertebrates.
Modular robots have already been suggested, but some more specific robot kits could also work. Robo-dogs, UAVs (quadcopters, loitering munitions, FPV bombers), sentry guns...
Classic Fantasy: Ape-Men. A staple of sword-and-sorcery fiction. Different heads can give you everything from hirstute Frank Frazetta-style cavemen to upright apes or even morlocks.
Classic-Fantasy: Cave-Women in Fur Bikinis. I don't think I need to explain this.
Classic-Fantasy: Beefcake Barbarians. I don't think anyone actually makes a kit of just Arnold-as-Conan style bodybuilders in fur breechclouts. Seems like a gap in the market.
Death-Fields: Chainsaw-sword-wielding Masochistic Nuns. OK, it might not be the best name, but I think we all know that a certain plastic kit from another company really let a lot of people down. We deserve better.
Classic Fantasy: Chimeras. Finally, WA can really indulge their desire to add alternative heads to their sprues.
An absolute ton of basic mythical creatures could easily work in the classic fantasy range. Harpies and minotaurs seem especially ripe for decent sculpts.
Classic Fantasy: Medieval Rabbit-Men. Everyone's favourite weirdness from the margins of illustrated manuscripts. Possibly mounted on giant snails.

Two things I thought about lately after looking on their site
Snakeman: Various snake/cobra heads with human shaped torso and tails instead of legs, with both fantasy and sci-fi weapon/gun arms like the lizardman box

Also, they could do a Death Fields scale dirt bike kit, like the generic riderless horse box, then they could do different faction rider spurs later

According to hints on the Barons War facebook group, one of the new upcoming sets is militant monks.

The 10mm English and French Agincourt-armies have been released. Looking so good my suggestion for the competition is that they do War of the Roses infantry in 10mm.

On sale in much bigger army-packs compared to other 10mm releases:

Modular Beast-men. Like the classic Warhammer books, where they were different creatures and mutations. Throw in both modern and fantasy arms too so they can fit into most people's games.

My you Romans sure are a contentious people

I suggested the generic "battlefield terrain sprue" tank traps, sandbags, barrels, supply crates all nice and generic in a handy multipack.

Yeah Lord Blackfang is just joking around because you didn't vote for robots (as you clearly should have).

Interstingly the "The Damned" Beastmen, actually fit this pretty well. Not much in terms of mutations, but the sprue includes a variety ofnon-sci-fi beastmen animal head types and options for hands with CCWs. Also, their armor/shirts are as suitable for fantasy as sci-fi.

Could really be spiced up with an additional sprue of arms, sheilds, weapons and mutations though...

I deliberately ordered some of these with the intention of doing them as fantasy troops. I'll probably add a few bits and pieces from my bits library though.
