Our Hard Plastic Solvent is designed specifically for our plastic (High Impact Polystyrene or HIPS). Whereas superglue just "sticks" two parts together and is prone to come apart under duress, solvent literally fuses the two pieces together. The applicator brush is also great to smooth over the join lines between parts (for example where the arm meets the shoulder). For best results, start with our Hard Plastic Clippers and Hard Plastic Nano Files to expertly prep your models for painting.
30ml bottle with precision brush applicator.
No Product Safety Data Sheet (SDS) or similar, and still no idea if it's their own or a rebrand.
99% sure it's a rebrand. I assume that production of semi-hazardous chemicals is not something you just do casually.
I do like the pointy tip though. I just refill my Plastruct Plastic-Weld bottles with MEK (the active ingredient in many solvent plastic glues). Much cheaper and works fine, but the brush isn't tapered.
Where do you get your MEK from? Long ago, it was just on shelves in Home Depot etc with the paint thinners and such, but in recent years that seems to have changed. Now all I can find are substitutes.

Methylene ketone is bad....didn't you know??? Im being facetious. It's bad so ergo production is regulated/taxed to death

Fun fact: MEK is a compund that's often used to denature alcohol, to make sure that people won't drink it. Replacing methanol because that didn't quite work on alcoholics.

Don't Get me wrong, MEK is nasty stuff and not to be taken lightly, but it's not much worse than the glue's (technically solvents) that it is the main active ingredient in.
You do sometimes have to use a bit more MEK than model adhesive/solvent as MEK evaporates really quickly. However if you consider that 32 oz of MEK at the hardware store costs the same ($9.99) as 1 oz of Plastic Model Solvent, the value proposition is pretty clear. You can refill your solvent bottles forever and have more than enough to strip paint from those extra-stubborn Metal Miniatures.

Thanks all, but I'm well aware of what MEK is. You're correct in that I wouldn't recommend it lightly to your average hobbyist, but I am familiar with it. I just don't have any easy source any more.

Right, so... back to my question: where do you get yours? If you don't feel good posting it, feel free to DM.

MEK is really hard to get where I am due to California EPA regulations. I've been using Scigrip Weld-on 3 for quite a few years after hearing that ILM modelmakers used it for scratchbuilds. Works great. It used to be half the price of Tamiya airbrush cleaner (which is just Tamiya Extra thin cement in a bigger bottle), but nowadays it's about the same price. You can get both Tamiya airbrush cleaner and Weld-on 3 from a number of online retailers, never had a problem getting either in CA.
I can't see myself ever paying $10 for a 30ml bottle of WGA rebranded cement. Same goes for their nano glass files, $15 for 2 files, or you can get a 6-piece set of glass nail files for under $10. WGA makes excellent plastic kits, but their hobby tools are expensive and uninspiring

So I've built a few minis now and here's my feedback on the Damned:
Infantry is good, I had a couple shoulder gaps but nothing that wouldn't be fixed with greenstuff or better assembly on my part. The gas masks are a tad disappointing as they only look good facing straight forward, so it limits the poseability of the mini even more
Heavy weapons and artillery absolutely need assembly instructions. I was able to work out most of it looking at the examples on the gamefound page, but I messed up the support legs on the artillery carriage and they don't seem to align correctly with the triangle foot part of it. The join between those two bits is also really bad, it's supposed to be a nub and hole but they don't fit well. If there was ever a redesign I would recommend a triangle shape nub and hole so the parts can only be put together one way.
I haven't put together the hounds yet, but they look ok.

Always disappointing T have confusing assembly and no instructions - how hard is it to at least have an image or two on your website to illustrate things?
I'm surprised with the continued new historical plastics to compete with Warlord products - they're the established existing kings of things like plastic Naps aren't they? Then again I have no idea how prices compare, and if you're wanting to make 200 soldiers...

Just a quick update to show the many boxes of frames shipping out to backers in the UK, EU and the rest of the world from both sides of the Atlantic!
I'm please to be able to confirm that shipping is full steam ahead on both sides of the Atlantic. It has been great to see more and more Damned popping up on social media.
Above you can see a few trollies worth of parcels ready to go at our fulfilment partner, Sarissa Precisions warehouse.
Please keep sharing your deliveries and your hobby with us!
Best wishes
Charlie

My pledge is sitting in the USPS Local Distribution Hellhole which is less the 15 miles from my house. Even though the roads are clear now, they are telling customers to pound sand.

Warlord's plastic kits are better described as following GW's super buff dudes look. I think the original Germans and Americans had larger heads on top of that. Modern kits like Afrikakorps have heads that are basically the same size as Wargames Atlantic's Panzer Lehr Division. The notable difference there is that compared to the Panzer Lehr dudes Warlord's guys look pretty buff. Or well fed...

There are a few steps to "shipping" - first is packing up all the orders, next is having the freight company come get it all. Did you see all the boxes packed up in the last update?
In other news - the Damned Army Box and the Mauler are having their boxes designed right now so that we can get them on pre-order for once most of it is out the door in the next couple weeks. So those of you who missed out on the campaign will be able to dive into The Damned!

These French Line Infantry are pretty nice, but I have not used my existing Napoleonic French army in more than 40 years, so I will not upgrade to better looking figures. I do wish Piano and WGA well with the new product line.
Another problem is that local historical wargaming is dead. (Even WW2 which was once a given). If it's not 40k or Star Wars: Legion, don't bother.
lord_blackfang wrote: You can also use napoleonics for Turnip28, SLUDGE, Aetherpunk28 and other grimsnug!
You do have a point, but again, those would be a pet project and they'd never see the table because of the rigid adherence to the aforementioned two games. Though the kit-bashing of Turnip28 does have some appeal. Still for kit-bashing I have Stargrave, Frostgrave, and Guards of Traitors Toll. (I've the old Mordheim sprues and bitz and I've been using them over the years when they seem right for a project. Some of them seem right for Guards of Traitors Toll.)
As this is a WGA thread, I have used Les Grognards and Raumjager for Stargrave kit-bashes, as well as Cannon Fodder. Need to make the Cannon Fodder II in the same theme (Space 1999) and paint the Space 1999 SG crew. Similarly, I bought Bulldogs for British-themed SG crews, but have not gotten around to them.
Edit: Oh, and both Cannon Fodder sets will provide miners for the appropriate Last Prospector scenario. Got the Oathmark Dwarf sprues for the picks as well as the WGA .stl civilian Cannon Fodder set. {Although while I suspect hand-powered tools will be with humanity for a long, long time, I'd liked some rock drills and concrete saws for said miners.}

I feel ya, our original wargaming club has straight up banned non 40k players about 2 years ago and the new club pretty much only plays Conquest. I've resigned myself to having to travel to get games in, I go to the neighboring country to the north for Kings of War and to the south for Forbidden Psalm, Necropolis and other blanchitsu stuff, once or twice a year each. And I run a world class Turnip28 event here, but play maybe 3 games a year myself. The heavy slant towards prep time versus gaming time does mean that the few games I get look amazing, however, and I get to only play with hand-picked folks who match my energy and my taste in games.
