With upcoming releases, does anyone know if the WA digital cavemen are likely to get a physical release anytime soon?

Picked up Hide Stone & Bone (brilliant ruleset) and there's Saga: Age of Stone also releasing soon, so a sprue of them would be really great to have.

I have a second account just to look at that group, because I'm banned for some reason... nothing new about CFB but I did find this outrageously sexy tracked Mauler kitbash

The M24 tracks look really good on it, had not thought about putting tracks on them just less wheels.

Doing my own Maulers now

It's a good kit overall, and damn impressive for Atlantic's almost first multi-sprue vehicle kit (I just remembered they did a pair of Quar tanks already)

Good tolerances, decent ease of building (a bit tricky to start the cabin with 4 overlapping pieces needing to be jiggled in at once... but considerably easier than most modern Horus Heresy tanks), good choice of build options, sprues crammed more than GW's.

The open platform and closed cab can be made swappable by trimming a 1mm tab off of one bit, so I guess they lose 1% for not just casting it without that tab in the first place

As far as Atlantic's own IP goes, I expect the Mauler will be available to other Death Fields factions as it has none of the battle damage common to other Damned kits.

Fitting it into 40k will take a little bit of work as for weapon mounts it only has the classic IG front hull mount and a hatch pintle, so it falls a bit short of working as a Chimera or Taurox. But the aesthetic is great, certainly a better fit than the new GW halftrack

GW:"Space marines got too many options to balance, therefore we decided to legends HH units."
Players: "why?!? Now we finally got decent plastic kits and you cut them?"
Chaos marines players: "Since when are Daemonengines 30k models and why do i have NO droppods now?"
GW" MONEY.... erm i meant TOO MANY OPTIONS (to resell your army to you again by disalowing former units)! Do you want specific tyranid fighiting Primaris? Even a new sabotage lieutnant!"
Chaos players: Guess i stop playing or go to HH.

Cozy cockpit of an Archer ARC-5S

If you leave the hull-mount off and just put on a pintle, it could work perfectly as an alternative to the upcoming Centaur.

Received my goodies today!
16 sprues of Damned Heavy Infantry, 16 of Female Infantry, 1 each of the Weapons Team, Artillery, Command, Male Infantry, Outriders, Brutes and Hounds.
I had asked for 1 sprue of the Cannon Fodder Arms and Equipment, but I was sent the bodies instead. I will need to contact them about that, as I really need the helmets from that sprue, dangit.
I received 13 sprues of backpacks. Is this the correct number? Should have I received 16, to equal the amount of Heavy Infantry I received? Each sprue has 3 smaller sprues of 6 backpacks, so I am pretty well covered, I just don't know what the exact ratio we should have is.

Thoughts: I am so glad I opted for the female infantry in comparison to the male. They're the same height, but much slimmer, and proportionally just look better. This will allow me to add coats and cloaks over the top of them, and not have them look weird. Will need to scrape or file down the chest armour a bit, and fill back in. I'd rather they stay somewhat androgynous. Its at this point I remember I have a full set of Statuesque miniatures that I can convert to make into veterans, command units, commissars etc, as they'll have the same basic proportions. Plus a bunch of the gas masks and helmet heads which is exactly what I need. Score! Edit:Just saw the new units for 11th edition. I think a bunch of the Statuesque miniatures would work really well as a Spectre Squad, with their variety of weapons and cool poses. I think this will be the go for me. The others will be used as command and veterans.

Overall, it's taken a long while to get here, but I am really glad it has. I really love the design of the miniatures, and I am very happy about having picked the ones I did. If I could go back and choose again, I'd probably drop one of the boxes of Heavy Infantry so I could get one of the vehicles. It's not necessary, but they look really good.

Anyone else have any missing or incorrect sprue allocations? If so, who did you contact to get that fixed?

the official email is thedamned@wargamesatlantic.com but it's not clear how well it's being monitored at the moment

in terms of backpacks you should have 1 tiny sprue of 6 packs per heavy infantry sprue (they were included since there was only one pack on the HI sprue and you need them to plug the power cable for the dual laser gun into so the additional tiny sprue lets you build all 6 as stnadard las troops)

Well in that case, by receiving 13 sprues of 18, I've well over-received, so I am going to call the loss of the Cannon Fodder arm sprue a draw. I will likely just buy the box itself later on to use to make a David Lynch Dune Sardaukar unit for Kill Team.

Thanks for letting me know, Orlando!

Honestly i wouldn't be surprised if they don't revise the cannonfodder set the way they did the Grognards, replacing the three sprue set up with a single all in one sprue.

Yeah, they have that for the female cannon fodder sprue, which also has a lot more options on it, so them re-doing the male sprue would be really great.

Sorry if I missed it, but is there a guide for each of the sprues and how to put them together, or what things are? Kind of flying blind here.

I put together some build tips for the Mauler, Artillery & Heavy weapons here

https://wargamesatlantic.com/community/xenforum/topic/214700/damned-heavy-weapons-build-notes

and for the various infantry if you look at the sprues you'll see at least some of the stuff is labeled, so A1 goes with A2 and A3 etc

most of the arms and heads are cross compatible between kits too

Looking at the Heavy Infantry, I am thinking I might get rid of the second barrel on the regular guns, and have them like the Kasrkin ones instead. Might have a red dot laser in its place, or something similar, but the two barrels are kind of overkill for me. I guess they had to make them like that so that they weren't so close to 40k Kasrkin as to cause problems.
Edit: Of course, I forgot about Hot-Shot Volley Guns. Those I'll use the double-barrelled versions for, otherwise, the others have to go.

Yes, I received the Cannon Fodder bodies rather than the weapons arms as well. Like you, the hassle and bother of stomping over those when I consider the amount of extra bits I received for my 15 box pledge doesn't seem worth it. plus, realistically, will I ever finish all of these projects anyway?

On a plus point, The Damned has reinvigorated my building and painting after a near two year slowdown on the hobby side.
