There is still a roadmap. After DA, there's orks, custodes, tau and Chaos SM. Then GSC and Sisters and [redacted].
Expect to see the mekboy and a custodes model. At absolute best the [redacted] name and cover art will shown

AoS, its too early for a box set tease. Usually that gets a dedicated day- I'd expect nothing about a new edition until mid-spring.

Pretty much all bust. They won't show past summer yet. Too early for new edition reveal and they won't release new faction this close to new edition. It would be bigger thing.

And they won't show fall stuff yet

You will be disappointed, none of this is going to happen.

At most they show around 3 months in advance, so I agree too soon for a mid-year reveal for AoS unless they literally have nothing else for AoS until then

Is it weird we skipped "4 days to go" and "2 days to go" teasers?

Doesn't bode well for the reveal.

I'm pretty curious what the Underworlds reveal will be now that the most recent roadmap is totally exhausted.

I'm guessing we will see the new boxed set, or at least one warband from it since they are doing the two boxes a year.....but I feel like Deathgorge just came out a few months ago.

Also I have no idea at all what those warbands could be.

Quick reminder that although ToW isn’t getting a reveal at the LVO? The next army is being shown in some capacity, or at least confirmed, on Saturday via the WHW launch event. Which will appear on Warhammer Community.

I misread, I was thinking about codexes being released close to, and almost immediately being voided by the new edition.

Which is also a valid concern. No one wants to be the final book before a new edition (and it sucks when you're the writer on such a book... trust me... ).

There should still be one Deathgorge Warband to come. In a perfect world it would be a Death faction, as we've had Order, Chaos and Destruction. Underworlds is rarely that tidy though.

World eaters isn't completely new thing though. Or there were no world eaters before? Nobody could play world eater army before codex was released?

What? Nobody ever had imperial guard before the 9th ed codex was released? Astonishing!

As their own faction, with their own Codex (not Codex Supplement, Codex) and Codex-specific units, rather than a CSM sub-list?

No, they couldn't before late 9th.

And regarding the Guard, did ye not bother to read Miguelsan's other post where he acknowledged a mis-read of what you were trying to say?

Again, they were just a sub-faction of CSM. Their first proper codex as a standalone faction released right before the end of 9E.

Can you try just not being you for just a few seconds and not nitpick a totally irrelevant detail. WE were a new faction added to the game. Prior to that, they were a sub-faction of CSM. You know this already, so why are you like this?

They were still existing army you could play. Not like shadow elves who aren't even sub faction anywhere. Shadow elves would be something completely new you haven't been able to play in AOS at all. Zip. Nada. Nothing.

Apples and oranges. Last comparable things were sons of behemath, sisters of battle, ad mech, knights, lumineth. None of those came month or two before new edition. Neither will shadow elves.

I'd guess because some of the stuff for tonight was already shown in the new year teaser, and it doesn't make sense to show the same silhouette again?

They don't have to do silhouettes though. They usually have abstract weird graphics that often have little to do with the actual teases.

The uploads to social media have been a little erratic this week also. Perhaps someone is away, or they're having IT issues, or a similar back end problem in the marketing department.

Oh shoot, right you are. I thought the Plague Monks were part of this season for some reason. A Death Warband would be cool to see!
