It doesn't look like they will. The riveted panel line going down the middle of the side panel would get in the way. I suppose a person could trim around it, or trim the sponson plates to account for it, though.

If I've learned anything from almost 3 decades of hobbying... someone will make it fit.

Hoping the Kroot get another infantry option. I wouldn't mind one with a small amount of armor or a stealthy melee option in addition to the hounds.

This. The WD kroot mercernary list back in the day had some interesting concepts like genetic strains of kroot that fed on specific life forms to develop into more specialized niches. With carnivores, hounds and kinstalker bands already in place, I'm wondering what that niche could be. Jump pack assault is probably still within the domain of the vespid, so I'm hoping for dedicated infiltrators/ambushers with traps, maybe even some sort of concealed gun emplacement.

Plastic kroot hounds seem obvious to me. They did most of the legwork for the design for the KT kit, so they just need to knock out a few variations.

Kroot look great, plenty of cool new stuff there, nice to see them finally get an update.

Solar Auxilia I like quite a bit, those vehicles especially, but something about them seems a little off? The lack of the padded armour changes the feel of them quite a bit, and not fond of the big long lasrifle magazines (which unless i'm forgetting something weren't' a thing before?)

10th points system does not count wargear. Everthing is just a unit price. I’d have to look up russes specifically, butnyou might have the option to run without, but if they are a “free” upgrade, with no downside, why would you not?

The Kroot Vultures need to make a return - after all, they pre-date Vespids - and there had better be a fez option in that kit, by the Emperor!

That chunky SA sentinel is awesome!

I wonder if they changed the arms of the SA to make it easier to downsize them for Legions Imperiales?

Didnt care much for the Necromancer/Wolfman set first, but its really growing on me. NecRomantic.

I'd think that the arm change is more to do with angles casting and undercuts than LI scale.

Necromancer kit has solid background, and reflects how one can come to Necromancy from a good heart, only for its corrupting nature to lead to the inevitable conclusion.

Of course, whether Necromancers are actively persecuted in the Free Cities I’d need to read up on, particularly as I’m not sure worship of Nagash in all his aspects is even forbidden.

The 40k kit has sponsons, yes. With points being the way they are in 10th, not including all options is just screwing yourself.

The index card doesn't have them as default wargear, but 'can be equipped with.' There's zero cost for doing so.

Yeah but it's funny.

There are rules for the macharius in HH, with the note that the malcador doesn't exist yet and it's meant as a standin for any one of many designs in use by the various forces of humanity during the period.

Depends on the period and most importantly the Realm - after all Nagash was and in some places remains one of Sigmar's Pantheon. Early on in the Age of Sigmar undead and necromancers were tolerated but more recently after stuff like the Necroquake there is much more suspicion and persecutuion especially in the big cities like Hammerhal - with good reason.

In Briardark (novel) there are priests and even Witch Hunters of Nagash ( https://ageofsigmar.lexicanum.com/wiki/Principatuum ) interacting with Sigmar worshipers.

That would require having spare sponsons. Much easier solution would be to stick the two sponson guns side by side on the lascannon hull point, and the multi laser pintle could easily have a barrel transplant from the left over lascannon. Swap out the pintle gunner for a Cadian or Death Korp and you're good to go.

How does the Malcador stack up against Rogal Dorn, size wise? I'm assuming it's longer, but narrower?

I don't have an RD (not an assembled one anyway), but based on photos I think the .alcador may actually be both shorter and narrower

More importantly, will it have a baseplate?

Are we all going to pretend that if there isn’t one it’s not by design but because GW did in fact make the mould for it, but decided not to include it just to make the kit “incomplete”?

Not sure, but I suspect longer (even ifs just those trench skid things) and higher. Dunno about width.

Malcador is a longboi, 18cm without the trench rail, Dorn is 15. Malcador is only as wide as a Russ tho.

Width isn't much of an issue, just a matter of converting or printing new, wider tracks.

I might not even bother shortening the hull if it's a 30mm difference. Not like it's going to be a tourney army anyway.

Much larger. About double-ish higher and its the same length as a Malcador. The Aurox would be a closer fit with some minor modifications.

An (a)elven crone, so still looking like a thirty-something into her twelfth century.
