A whole new range of ogres, sorry ogors, that look more like the CoS ones.
By complete uncoincidence, TOW ogres get a full official release.

So rumour is (from a reliable TGA poster) that the next 3 Battletomes are OBR, LRL and Tzeentch.

LRL and Tzeentch? Seems a bit odd when we've already had sneak peaks of Ogors and Fyreslayers already.

I had a quick look back at the rumours, Ogors - "released by the end of 2026 "
Khazalid holds - there's conflicting rumours 1 says soon the other last book of the edition.

LRL just a mention of Hoeth like release
OBR 4 kits - rumour of 2 single minis kits, archers and chariot possible
Tzeentch - Just a Silver Tower terrain piece mentioned

All 3 of these are small enough releases throw a hero with LRL and Tzeentch and they are probably done. Easy win for a few quick releases early in the year.

Silver Tower piece sounds interesting and i do like the sound of a chariot for OBR. Can't imagine another two hero's for them though.

OBR need more generic units and perhaps a big construct monster or two more for the army. I'd also take them getting a little less tough so they can take more individual units as their range grows.

Silver Tower terrain has my attention. I hope that rumor is true. Could be cool to have a floating mage tower.

Did I miss the Cankerborn on the price list or are they direct only? I wonder how much they'll cost.

Direct only yes. It's hard to figure out the price there's no real precedent for an ETB kit like this one. In theory it should be around the €34.50 price range but there are 4 minis in the box and that's how it will be presented - even if 2 of the minis are tokens they have in game use - so the price could be more based on that plus they are unique so you'll only ever buy one set.

Pox Wretches are probably easier to figure out - 20 ETB minis (14 PW and 6 Mire Kelpies) same as the clan rats at €42
The closest to the the Court is the Ethereal Court at €70.

Well I guessed wrong on all counts!

Pox Wretches €45, £35.50, $60
Cankerborn €41, £31.50, $53
The Court of Gelgus Pust €64, £49.50, $82

Here comes part 1 of my Maggotkin of Nurgle review, with HQ sprue images for the new Putrid Blightkings, Sloven Knights, and Rotswords. I also made a list of all the build options, the new Putrid Blightkings and Sloven Knights are pretty much monopose with very few optional pieces: https://taleofpainters.com/2026/01/review-maggotkin-of-nurgle-putrid-blightkings-sloven-knights-rotswords/ Rotswords have a few interchangeable pieces.
What do you think, old Blightkings or new Blightkings?

Missed chance to include some extra bits, the fact that most is monopose does not really tempt you to buy multiples. Regardless of style the old Blightkings kits was the perfect balance between bits and kits on a sprue.

I didn't pay too much attention to the original reveals as all that Nurgle stuff started blending into each other, but I can appreciate the Rotswords. They're effectively Nurgle Chaos Warriors. I think that's all four gods covered now in that regard, which is nice and only took forever.

I guess that only leaves Khorngors so all marked beastmen are there, too.

The old Blightkings felt stingy at the time - IIRC it was 5 legs, but each had two options of belly/arms/head? So two boxes could build 10 different models.

And now they're going full mono pose, 5 fixed models apart from the optional flag and bell?

The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.

Loving the Nurgle Models. More than any Chaos force, they’ve really brought through the feel of Realm of Chaos.

Not a clue and not a particular care whether they’re any good in the game? But I can see myself picking up the Sloven Knights once I’ve done a decent chunk of my existing backlog.

Hmm. Might even attempt to put together a Realm of Chaos Nurgle Warband.

Granted, there’ll be an awful lot of “yeah these are just Chaos Knights” type counts as. But I think it might be an interesting project and hobby blog.

Tzeentch doesn't have Warrior equivalents still. Blood Warriors technically exist, but they were poor looking models on release, and it's been ten years or so.

Oh yeah. No idea how I got that wrong. I guess Tzeentch is only a minor Chaos power and not worth remembering.

Coupled with their new subpar rules(going off Goonhammers review, opinion could change), I doubt they’ll see much play.

Man, the lack of any options in the Pestigor kit is a real bummer. I was planning on picking it up, but I'm not sure now.
