My LGS came through and I got a Typhon box. Dont give up, there are bound to be some boxes somewhere this weekend, even if GW direct sold out

All the boxes lamented after they were sold out immediately from the GW store, have been so far readily available in both online and b&m stores and at a discount compared to the GW online store...so, yeah, joke on those who actually "managed" to snipe them from the GW online store.

It appears to be back in stock in the UK store at the time of writing.

Pretty sure they do a phased release now to try and limit the effects of scalpers. Some are released at the standard 10am time, then they release another batch some time later.

My box arrived, skimming through the Typhon dossier. The co-op campaing says you can include a Games Master who will run the NPOs and handle all the extra stuff, which takes us back to the glory days of Rogue Trader, in a way.. I really like what they've done with the campaign, and a part of me wishes they'd revisit the Ashes Of Faith campaign, which was sort of like a precursor to the Typhon co-op campaign - sadly it was released before co-op / solo games were a thing..

Also, this time, the new NPOs introduced in the game each have their own behaviour trees for dictating their actions, this will broaden the cope of behaviours we can expect from NPOs going forward. Small things, but improvement for sure.

Once again, GW have opted for the flimsier box variety. I'm really not a fan of these softer boxes, they dont support weight of stacked boxes like the sturdier ones

If GW wants us to have massive piles of shame they need to at least help us stack them up.

Its also much easier for the flimsy box to get damaged in transit. IIRC one of my KT21 boxes was ordered from a polish webshop, it had the flimsier box, its cover was full of dents and several pieces inside were damaged

That's interesting. I would assume the Celestians would just be an upgrade sprue, so would that mean an all new Raptor kit with maybe a Night Lord upgrade sprue? Or a NL specific one?

Must be pretty exciting to be a Night Lord fan, that gives you a decent bulk of an army via KT releases.

That Raptor head looks a lot like the older, metal ones. Not the cool ones, the ones before that

Regarding the Sororitas, I guess it depends on whether that illustration shows the squad leader, or what the regular team members look like. It appears to be a regular shield, not one of the Sacrosanct gun-shields - to have an upgrade sprue to remove the pistol from the shield would be weird.

Maybe they're bringing actual Celestians back again.

They have waptalon fins on their jump packs and the usual warp talon paint scheme.
Face looks slightly more raptor, and dont have lightning claws. Still looks more like Warp talons than raptors.

It’s night lords so the translation should default to Maximum Edgelord so it’s probably a “Murder Wing” or something.

As for the Celestians, they do like their faux-Latin so it might well not get a direct translation. Buuut there are connotations of impeding as well as entrapment in there. Maybe coursers?

Or like with the new SM Characters for other chapters, they will be adding more unique Legion characters and units to the core CSM list to take up the space that the 4 God specific Legions previously occupied?

I hope we get new those new knight style shields seen in the art for the Sisters. I really dislike the current Sacresant shields.
