How do!
Not clickbait. I know!

Holy Golden Throne! That looks cool.
Secret Level is a new anthology of animated stories coming to Prime Video* later this year, with each episode set in the universe of a popular video game – a “Secret Level”.
Inspired by the highly anticipated game, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, there’s a whole episode set in the grim darkness of the 41st Millennium.
Our own Warhammer Studio partnered with the talented team at Blur (of critically acclaimed Love, Death & Robots renown) to ensure the episode stayed true to the tone and themes of the setting. The result is an animation we’re proud to present as a definitive Warhammer story.
We’re pretty pumped to see Titus and the boys in animated action, and we won’t have to wait long.
The Secret Level anthology will be available to watch on Prime Video in over 240 countries on December 10th.
Titus returns even earlier than that of course, in Space Marine 2, the most anticipated Warhammer computer game of the decade, arriving in less than 3 weeks (!), on September 9th.
*This standalone animation is a separate project from the Warhammer 40,000 TV and film projects we’ve previously announced. Those are still in development. We’ll share more news about them as soon as we can!

It's an interesting idea for a series, and I liked Love, Death & Robots so hopefully they can pull it off!
Has anyone ID'd the Chapter yet?

Seems it’s Ultramarines, as the “secret level” is in Space Marine 2.

Hyped for some Armored Core as well.
A bit worried this fulfills some contractual obligations and puts an end to a larger 40k series though.

Last bit of the quote strongly suggests not. Rather this is a separate license with the programme maker, not the platform.

I read it as "this is not taking away from Warhammer+" but I suppose it also covers other projects. I wasn't thinking about it being specifically Space Marine 2 related.

Glad to see some additional content, a bit disappointed it's not on WH+ Day 1. I'd definitely hate to see more new WH animations on Prime Video than on the dedicated service...

i feel like it's much more likely a test run to see how viable the 40k audience is for amazon

To me it feels more like a studio that wants to do a bunch of sci-fi stuff from multiple different backgrounds. Both from a creative point of view and from the point of view of testing the waters to see if this kind of content is popular and if any of the chosen ones really shine. It might well lead to some/one of those franchises picking up a larger Amazon Prime deal.
It might also just result in Amazon doing more game-ties in general.
If you hit it right it can be a good goldmine of money; of course Witcher, Borderlands and a few others all show that you can easily muck it up

There was a bit about this on the GamesCon Opening Night Live (I think) show earlier - the studio that's doing the animation has been doing cinematics for various games over the years, and decided they'd see if they could expand into doing a series of episodes using their experience.
Looks an interesting project, and I look forward to watching it in December - or forgetting, and then not watching it.

So... does that mean GW and Amazon came to an agreement for the licensing as mentioned in the financial statement? Or is this one-time/separately?
Seems to me like like "testing the water"...
Okay... Reading helps. It's a one off.
For people interested... these are the partners/franchises mentioned for the anthology
Warhammer
Unreal Tournament
New World Aeternum
PlayStation
Dungeons & Dragons
Outer Worlds 2
PacMan
Honor of Kings
Armored Core
Megaman
Exodus
Spelunky
Crossfire
Concord

So Amazon Prime will kick off GW collab by showing off Astartes Bolter Pron? Who would have guessed it... yawn.
LD&R was aight but not so good that I'd have higher expectations of this one..

This feel more like Amazon/ Blur doing a thing about video games and a game with a Games Workshop theme being part of it too and less like being directly tied to the license Amazon got for GW properties.

Exactly. Now granted GW doing videos of their own and the contract with Amazon might have helped them negotiate a slot, but this show is a whole hub of geeky goodness from various franchises.

I can only imagine the paperwork and hoops that needed to be jumped though to get all the franchises/IPs on board with this endevor.
I’ll give it a watch. I suspect it will be a collection of hits and misses, but should at least look pretty while doing it.

As a Sad Old Git, 35 years in the hobby? It’s still kinda mind blowing just how close to being fully mainstream Warhammer is as a property.

I watched the trailer when this was announced and thought, I don't recognise anything other than space marines, but maybe the images just flashed by too quickly. Now that I've looked at the poster of what's presumably a collection of recognisable characters from modern cult and popular franchises, and the only one I recognise is the space marine...
I guess this is what getting old feels like...

I don't call it old - I call it the expansion of the geek market.
It's gone from a handful of things (at the major to semi major end) to a whole vast industry with a myriad of creations. The result of which is a huge volume of material that's honestly way beyond most people to take it all in.
It's less getting old and more just that things are so much bigger than they were. It's a healthy good thing as it shows how geeky stuff and sci-fi has expanded and grown and flowered into so many different creations.
ps you're not alone I also only recognise the Space Marine, but I also know that some things, like Hell Divers, I know exist and I've just not tapped into them.
