Guys could I make a request, is anyone handy with design to do some simple certificates for the event that we could print off?
Just need something basic referring to Bac-Con or pulling in Easy-E's design on the last page? Perhaps something of either landscape A4 or A5.

Thanks that is kind of you to offer and will definitely let you know if we do. I have a friend helping with lugging boxes on the day and hopefully getting some help from the Advancing Fire guys and a local club so fingers crossed we are all sorted

For peoples edification the faction break down for LI so far is;
1x SAX.
1x DM.
1x TS.
1x DA.
2x BA.
2x IF.

And maybe one AL and one SoH.

Sorry to hear about that Ingtaer - hope the surgery goes well and for a quick recovery after.

And thanks for taking it on Pacific, as Gen Kroll says happy to chip in as needed if there is anything I can do to help. Do you still want additional terrain? I've got bits that I'm happy to along if needed.

Graphic design is not my forte, but will have a play around with the certificates idea if nobody has.

Also, pretty unimportant point, but one of those BA armies will almost certainly be Iron Warriors as I was hoping to get my Angels finished this week and that is looking very unlikely to be achieved at the moment...!

Thanks a lot for the offer Piousservant, the award certificates have now been done so we are OK on that score. If you are able to bring any terrain and it's not too much of a bother it certainly won't hurt to have more.

All set with the event/mission pack too which is very much on theme for being light-hearted and ties in with the Bacon narrative

Ingtaer has had an absolutely cracking idea for an attendance gift. There are also some great raffle prizes and as we have said 100% of ticket and raffle money will be going to the Brain Tumour Charity. And there are still tickets available if anyone would like to come and suddenly has a free Saturday.

That's a bummer MDG was looking forward to seeing you there, but understand you need to look after yourself. It's looking like there aren't going to be a massive number of people there now (have had quite a few cancellations) if you feel like coming on the day.

I am happy to have made it to the event today and despite not being totally compos mentis, even going so far to forget to give out an entry gift (sorry mate, glad you caught it!), delighted to say that thanks to Pacific's hard work it all seemed to go off without a hitch and was great fun. Everyone who attended looked to be enjoying themselves and we raised a bit of a cash for a very worthwhile charity. It was great to put some faces to usernames and have a chat as well as throw some dice and not die horribly at the same time!

I only took a few pics on the day but here they are for your edification, hopefully other attendees can add some more to the thread;

For my first two games of LI it was a really enjoyable experience and great to raise money for a very worthy cause too. Sadly didn't have the wherewithal to take any pictures myself.

Thanks a lot for the comments guys and was lovely to finally meet some posters from the forum. Great work Ingtaer for doing all of the legwork with the funding and raffle and getting the event to that stage, and was good things managed to go without a hitch - people had tables to play on and someone to play against, which was the base level we were aiming for!

Was great to see some games played in good spirit and the doubles game in the afternoon in particular was a really good laugh. Congratulations to Piousservant for winning the 'Baps of Horus' best Traitor general award, especially in his first games, and I think did General Kroll (if I have got my names matched up correctly) win 'Butty of the Emperor' best Loyalist? Was great to see some good games taking place in any case and I think even the people who had very limited experience of the game seemed to have a good time.

A few photos below of some of the games in action. If there is an appetite, perhaps would be good to make it an annual event and have a go again next year.

More Fists, this time against Thousand Sons


Iron Warriors and Night Lords up against Blood Angels and Imperial Fists. Had quite a lot of fun with this between Piousservant and I not wanting to be first to the objective and get mown down, and then a bit of craven cowardice from the Imperial Fists later on! The Traitors did eventually capture it but there were an awful lots of deaths, not least from the Dire Wolf which I think got a fairly hefty kill count.


Dark Mechanicum and Thousand Sons with a pleasingly colour-coordinated Traitor side against Loyalist Solar Auxilia and Imperial Fists. Think General Kroll joked with this one that every time we looked over to this table basically no-one had died! The Traitors did steal the objective, carrying the day for Horus's forces.


To the sound of a 31st millenium rendition of Fortunate Son a Thunderhawk sets the farmland alight. If you look carefully you can see Sanguinius, who unfortunately was gunned down by (I think?) some Sicaran tanks, in a bit of a change from the book!

I'd just like to say well done to everyone involved. Would have loved to have gone if it wasn't at the complete arse end of the country from me! Looks like everyone had a great time and a really good cause.

If it weren’t for all the (brilliant) third party terrain and models, I’d say this event and its pics would be worthy of WD. Sadly I don’t think it’d pass their editorial guidelines.

Also want to say I’d 100% be up for a return to Rynd’s World in 2026.

Thanks for sharing the photos guys, will have to remember to take some myself next time! And we'll have to work out a secret Dakka handshake or something, as I had no idea until now that we'd been playing against Kroll in the last game

Definitely! BIG is my local, so that works well for me
