If it was subscription based? Fair enough.

But it’s, say it with me now….free content.

Yet folks seem like it’s some arrow at the heart of their wallet.

Don’t get me wrong, as well as preferring a month long rumour engine output? I wouldn’t have said no to something more substantial.

It’s still free though. So, like…bit of perspective please.

We did for 24 days. What we got so far were:
2 Paint guides that could've been better dropped alongside the Launch of the new HH.
Around 7 okay detatchments. One would've been better as part of the Craftworld Codex, two are Nemesis Claw and Black Rage detatchments that are a little mismatched towards BAs when in a game.
Two formats that are good for quick games.
Darkwater heroes rules(all are legends, I don't know if the Nurgle side will be when the battletome drops) without any Warcry rules for either side.
An AoS battle plan for the Tinbot(which has Imperium markings).
A Kill Team reprint that would've been better off for Space Marine II's anniversary.
The rest are short stories that are okay to great. 40K ones are either trolls or teasers depending on how you see it.

We're not bashing them for being free; some of them are pretty neat. The problem is that the detatchments and modes were a little good while the rest were felt like someone had them ready, but was told to hold off until Grotmas.
They're not bad, and I'm waiting for the xmas reveal. They're just... a little disappointing compared to the usual free stuff they posted earlier this year.

I think it really illustrates how this has been that the penultimate reveal is them having looked at a 40k character with very obvious objectively 40k themed designs to the miniature, and then for some strange reason to no apparent benefit they've decided to jarringly shove that into the Age of Sigmar setting where it doesn't belong, rather than just do something for 40k instead.

Hey, jarringly shoving things designed for other settings into AoS is what it's all about!

Hopefully this is the first step to the Universal Game System that allows us to play AoS or 40k with whatever models we want.

So finally we will be able to play Stormcast Eternals vs. Space Marines.

I remember when Gav Thorpe wrote rules for WHFB vs 40k. Hilariously, an Empire Great Cannon was actually more powerful than a lascannon.

At last! The lord of the Red Corsairs!

EDIT: And I am super excited to see who this will be. I hope one of them is Garreon, the Corpsemaster, chief apothecary. Maybe it's him and Forge Master Valthex.

It's a start of a good model, will need some work to make him look less goofy and generic but progress is progress.

There was that articulated surgical arm thing from the Rumour Engine.

Spot on! It even looks like it matches the shadow on the right. Nice!

EDIT: I wonder if there's a new book on the way to go with them. Maybe some additional human forces for Chaos. *Crosses all fingers and toes in hope*

To be fair, he got his face and most of his body melted off from a Combi-bolter in the Badab war.
But that metal grin is giving me Trap Jaw from Heman vibes. So, point taken.

I liked his maniacal portrayal in ADB's Night Lords trilogy.

The Chaos Marine Legionaire kit has a suitable "right side of face is cybernetics" that hopefully is an easy switch. The facial expression on that head bit is a little more set in grim/hateful determination than a leader shouting orders or some such, but it might work out. If you got to the GW website, its dead center on the pic, the guy with the assault cannon.

Pretty sure I have a few in my bits box from previous projects.

Don't know what they were thinking, this is way too cartoonish. An easy fix thankfully.
