If we look to the Marines in Heresy? I wonder if Sagittarum and Advanced Poking sticks are going to be an upgrade kit?

Hold up, what new weapons did they get? I didn't notice new stuff.

It’s the chin mount. Existing Lastrum Bolt Cannons, or Twin Neutronium Cascade Projector.

The Caladius got a twin neutronium cascade projector option, which are new.

Projector makes me imagine a flame template weapon myself.

Are the new ones in the heresy box the same size or bigger ? I seen some comparisons to marines, but no one has try to do one with the older models yet that I seen.

We’ve dropped a few hints that some of these models are also perfect for using in Warhammer 40,000 and it’s entirely true. A rules update for the Adeptus Custodes is set for later this year. But several of these new miniatures are already perfectly suitable to represent current units in Warhammer 40,000.

So, new 40K Custards Rules coming later this year (as we’re only on day 3586937 of January, that’s quite a window). Please manage your own expectations beyond that confirmation? But given they’ve confirm at least the infantry are going to be dual system? I’d expect at least some of the other Heresy Plastics to show up.

There's one other thing to consider here given the phrasing of the statement. We're going to get 11th edition mid 2026, so later this year could also mean that they're getting an early 11th edition codex rather than an update in 10th.

I just noticed, the Shield Captain is armed (in the picture) with a Sword and Shield. It's NOT a Sentinel Blade though, it's just a standard power weapon.

These are 30k models, but I'd wager that they'll include 40k rules for it. Does that mean new weapons options for 40k Shield Captain?

I don't know what other weapons options will be in the box, but I'm hoping for some decent customization.

What surprises me most is that stuff like this is marketed as HH first and not pushed up as a 40k release that's compatible with HH. Seems like that would work better for things like this and the plastic Cerastus.

Tbh, I’m just afraid they’ll pull a “it’s totally not gonna be in legends guys” and then the grav tanks and dreadnaught end up in legends anyways. If the grav tanks stay out of legends, I’ll probably grab two or three of the new boxes, even if the dread ends up in legends just because they look cool and I want to paint them, but if both tank and dreads end up legended I’ll be real sad (as well as being confused on how Custodes are supposed to do anti tank now). Then again, the only way they get sent to legends is if they release 40k versions of tanks, and I doubt they’d release for the same faction that close together.

One day I will have something funny enough to be in a signature.

Right now it’s a proper “we’ll have to wait and see”.

As I posted earlier, but not entirely sure and can’t be arsed to check, if it was in this thread?

Custards are such a limited force, that dual purposing their units across Heresy and 40K era games doesn’t really risk upsetting balance. Not when compared to the staggering wealth of toys Marines would benefit from without any restriction.
