Whoah. No cornucopia of skulls but more spikes. Not bad. Looks like the nifty Terminator Lord set means you won't hear the end of complaints streaming forth from SPAZ MARINERZ players. I foresee the powerfist giving the birdy will be highly sought after. (Hint-hint, BWbits. )

In other news, who's the guy that Shriked ripped off? (Assuming this thousand-year-old guy is older than Shrike I guess.)

Anyway, someone made a good point: good (for the most part) plastics to be accompanied by a mediocre (at best!) Codex.

Strangely, yeah....kinda.

Although, I'm admittedly not too fond of the chain and skull crap between/below his feet.

H O L Y.......... CRAP! Man am I gald I did not build my Black legion Army yet. Mix these sprues with the current ones, and its on! Now to decide if I want to sell off the 30 some odd metal Chaos Terminators I have sitting in the case........

All very very nice, but I must add to the rest in saying that the jump pack lord is pretty crappy. I especially like the plastic possessed. Finally a mutations sprue that doesn't suck.

Meh, who cares about the new codex if it sucks? The old codex still works for the most part (besides being hideously hard for someone not well versed in the codex to make heads or tails of) so why fret over new rules? We get nifty new sparkley models that seem quite neat of cursory examination...

Who knows? Maybe the new codex will rock?
Stranger things with GW has happened (like printing rules for an official codex in White Dwarf after the HQ has mandated that no new rules ever be present again in the magazine...)

Ghah!  Those models are incredible.  Curse my studenting and no moneying!  GW is really getting it together with these plastic kits.

/agree the comment regarding the old book.  My brother and I tentatively use the Lost and the Damned list with Traitors -1 point and Heavy Weapons -5 points.  If the new book doesn't hold up we'll probably mix and match.  It's Chaos!  XD

But here's hoping it will be decent.

Plastic Havocs would just be the icing on the cake.

My only fear is that these guys will come 5 to a box with a 'new improved price' ie. no AUD$50 squad of 10 box, just a AUD$35 for a squad of 5.

IF the rumors are true, and the possessed mutation is rolled at the start of the game, then how on earth do you model that?

  They wouldn't have a rule like that!  What is this, Rogue Trader?  They just got rid of the random Death Company.  I simply wouldn't put any credence in such a rumor. 

They had them in the Chaos Codex before the current one, and as this new Codex seems to be heading in the direction of that character-less and boring Codex, it wouldn't surprise me.

Those Possesed are a 3000% improvement on the crappy metal ones. That accesory sprue at the top with all banners on it by the looks of things will make fantasy chaos players very happy as well.
the Treminators are going to sweet, and those power fists on the terminator lord look very mean. The jetpack lord sadly (aside from the feet) lacks quality imo. Man my wallets going to be lighter come the codex.

It will be a bit sad if they dish up crappy rules though.

way to be GW you complain about what bwb is doing than just keep handing them more and more stuff to work with. rules pending this could bring me back over into the world of warhammer

You should probably prepare for disappointment.

Extremely promising! I love the look of the various weapons, and the icons, and the mutations....
As for the characters, they look kinda cool too, but I prefer to concoct conversions of my own anyway, when it comes to characters.
Damn, looks like I'd better start saving $ for September....

The Chaos Plastics are indeed great! I had the opportunity to paint up 2 of the Terminators for the web team and I had a great time doing so. I would have liked more options on the kit, but you can definitely do a bunch with them with some minor conversions.

As a long time Chaos player, I am really excited about the new models!

The models are indeed gorgeous. I have 3 1/2 unpainted armies in my closet though...

Oh well, hopefully I'll have at least one of them done by September.
