Ok, so I want to do another army before May, since that's when the Guard book comes out and, like everyone else on here, I'll be busy swapping around the weapons in my Guard armies. As anyone who follows Panic's Battle Reports at
http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/PaniCs_Battle_REports can see, I've mainly been playing with my Slaanesh
CSM and my White Scars
SM recently, with small detours last year into my Adeptus Arbites and Slaanesh Daemons.
Now Panic only ever plays Nurgle
CSM or Eldar. His next project is rebel grots and they'll take AGES, and he really needs to update his Eldar, so basically you're gonna be seeing a lot more Nurgle over the coming months. What army do you think I should construct to play against him? What army do you want to see fighting Nurgle?
Here's what's currently lying in bits in my loft, ready for assembly....
SLAANESH DAEMONS - this army has already been started at
http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Ian%27s_Slaaneshi_Daemons. I need to finish it at some point - I want more converted Soulgrinders, Seekers, and some converted Furies, plus track down another Greater Daemon and a Daemon Prince. Maybe a chariot too...
TZEENTCH
CSM - I'm going to build a Thousand Sons army out of the old Warhammer Chaos Warriors. Few squads of ghostly Thousand Sons, painted like the ghost army in
LOTR, led by sorcerers, plus converted terminators, havocs, chosen and dreadnoughts. All in bits, ready for a P+M blog.
FLAMEY SPAZZ MARINES - A flame-obsessed Salamanders deriviative chapter, painted burgundy with brass detailing, and lots of robes. Requires two Redeemers, and some Dark Angels conversions, plus all my spare marines left over from the White Scar army.
TAU - I got a new influx of models for my canary Tau, which are at
http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Ian%27s_Tau_Army. I guess I could clean them up and update them for 5ed. I got some more Crisis suits and vehicles, a load of Firewarriors and Kroot. I'm planning some jetpack Fire Warrior conversions to count as Vespids.
HARLEQUINS - I got a LOAD of Harlequins lying around (reaalllly
OOP models). They could be made into a decent Eldar army, with 3 Harley squads, some Harley jetbikers, vypers, Karandras as my Solitaire, and a Harley Wraithlord. VERY difficult army to play with, though.
SISTERS OF BATTLE - I've got a load of Sisters and Imperial Stormtroopers ready for painting (I'm thinking GOLD), but the real reason for this army is that it allows me to go to town with all the old
OOP models I can't use anywhere else and make some fantastic Inquisitors and retinues. Plus I can break out my assassins again. On the other hand, my Arbites are basically a Witch Hunters army, and I was playing with them all last year...:/
