Been on here long enough now that i should have made a blog by now, but allways done everything in slow motion, just hoping that if i keep this blogged it should push me into working faster and actually finishing a project for once i my life.

just a few pics to start with of current projects im working on (all ork)
and also some painting work for once.

Brought a few black reach box sets and 2 lootas box sets to start me off before i went to iraq, and never really did anything to em, so this is how it starts.

Warboss, finished, just needs basing, decided i'd try my hand at painting camo for the 1st time.





Nobz with klawz konvershun (BR nobz with BR boss klawz), in process of being painted.



Pain boy W.I.P for the nobz, nothing special yet, still thinking on this one.



Badrukk konvershun, still in W.I.P stages and needing alot more work to get finished, holes in back area will have fur on them soon ish (started ages ago)







Da Deff Dread!
saw a thread ages ago so took the idea of using a SM dread as a base and then kopta parts (among others) to orkify it a tad, since the dread was brought from ebay they had started painting it, and had glued it together :K
so ive done a small ammount of work on it so far, still need to fill some gaps and patch parts up.








so, thats what ive got so far, want to get these finished, then onto some lootas and a small unit of burna boyz.

C&C welcome as allways.
and sorry for any bad pics, crappy camera.
but to compensate slightly ill make sure i allways have plenty of pics

on a futre based project, anyone have any pics of battle wagon and stompa scale wise?
thinking about a future project, but want to check all sizes 1st, as this wont be cheap

i just adapted and changed it alot

all it was for is my next project, involving a less stomp stompa 0_o
mainly wanted a stompa, but with tracks rather than feet to keep a speed feak theme.

but looking at scale pics there, tracks and chasis will have to be a plasticard job.

Nice stuff. At first I was a bit dissapointed that appearantly everyone seems to make nothing special out of the Black Reach Boss, then I saw your Badrukk
What I don't like about him is the ammoclip as the handle. Looks a bit weird.
And you should really drill out the guns, at least the larger ones. Trust me, it looks a lot better that way.

BR box set wasnt bad, just working out ideas for the nobz and koptas next.

small dread update:

only bitz left to paint on it are driver, power cables, then weathering and damage, then ill get the pics up
havent done any free hand in a while, was some good practice

awesome man you asked for a comment i give you a comment nice job for 1st thoughts and then i think about bad rukk hes supposed to have golden armor in the book yet the new model that they constructed has no armor at all also is that really the head that you think he would have and what about a hat hat i say ftw

thought i'd point out to you that not everyone likes the basic warboss from BR box set.
as for badrukk, stll thinking about his hat, was tempted to have a grot holding it for him, but only time will tell.

anyways, moving on a bit im just uploading some deff dread pics now its had some paint slapped on it

Most people paint thier dreads plain old black with white free hand, i hate the idea, so get a bit of variety in there lol, anyways, enjoy










so thats done for now until i get around to basing it.
incase anyones wondering i just use it as a deff dread with 2 DCCW's and 2 skorchas

if i get half decent feedback from this one ill make another one, got a spare dread and 2 spare koptas to chop up, so i can go to town on the next one

i think i can do alot better though in both painting and converting, just need to get back into it and stop painting once ive started drinking

also on a side note:

i allways used to drill out guns, but after an accident involving a slip and alot of pain i no longer do it often
i may start to do it again, but i need a new pin 1st as my current one is blunt.

that was from the deff kopta that got chopped up to help make this lol, only parts used were AoBR parts and a few bitz from the lootas box.

I would definetly try tp give him a hat. The AoBR Warboss head ist just too recongziable. Since you probably won't have that many Warboss sized models I would try to make at least the heads as different as possible. And you kinda need to use this head from the box, because Badrukk needs a bionik eye anyway.

Anung, ive just been playing about with a few hat designs now
trying to work out the best way to do it with GS.

ok, been spending some time thinking about dread #2
came up with some ideas now and just want to see what dakka members think

front:

1: same as this one
2: more open front with exposed pilot, with a sort of cage built around it.

Weapons:

1: 4 DCCW's
1a: snips
1b: buzzsaws
1c: crushers (alien walker style, cant think of its name)
1d: Other (please explain what)

2: skorchas
3: rokkits
4: big shootas
5: kustom mega blastas

Pose:

1: running
2: same as this one
3: other (please explain)

Misc:

please explain any ideas not gone over


sorry for all this, just wanted some general ideas before i started working on it.

The first dread is BA! I like the idea of 4ccw on the second dread with the enclosed in a cage theme. Can't wait to see what you come up with!!!

OK, been playing about with some ideas on the 2nd dread, went for standard 2 DCCW's with 2 rokkit launchas.

still needs the armour plates, wires and gubbinz added, but you can get a rough idea of what it looks like now.

as you can see its pretty plain atm
but work to be done:

add armour plates, wires and gubbinz
bulk out the launchas for the rokkits and make them more stable with supports
possibly add a "reloader" grot to the top of it
arms will be angled outwards like the previous dreads "deff blade"
and any other random bitz i may add along the way.
