i've started with a new marine army , and will be using the space wolf codex , i will not paint them grey like the normal wolfs , but decided to go for brown with grey trims , and will give them all marauder heads and a lot of marauder bits 2 ,
here's my version of Ragnar Blackmane and 1 finished blood claw , more pics will follow of the progress , but then my friend has to drop by with his camera

Real nice would like to see the guy in the last pic up close,as I would love to see the runes/tattos on his skull and shoulder.

The right arm shoulder joint looks a bit odd to me. Thats just a nitpick though, the idea and conversions are awesome. Paintjob is stellar too! Ill be following this for sure.

for colors i used scorched brown and worked my way up to snakebite leather , for the grey i used adeptus battlegrey and went to fortress grey
the arms are indeed from the wfb marauders
and if anyone has ideas on how i should make my rhino's and LR crusader more vikingstyle , please let me know

i'm painting my first Viking hunter , but don't know what color to give his shoulderpad , so any suggestions are welcome , it's not a good pic , but i hope you can see what shoulder i mean

A bronze might work well for the shoulder pads, or if failing that the black seems to look rather nice.

If you want your LR to look more Norse, stick some shields on it, or give it a sail!

i plan on using a rhino and LR that look like dragonships , don't know how yet , but i'll find a way

I found this picture a while ago, on the site of a guy called Keith Thompson. He even calls it "Norse APC", so it might be up your alley.

At least it could be good for inspiration.
