I know there are some closet Cron fans out there that are afraid to dust off the old 3rd, 4th edition terrors, but I want to post my battle report at the second round of Ard boyz to hopefully change peoples opinion about how broken the Necrons are in 5th edition. Granted, they do have an uphill climb, but they can win some games. Now my battle report has no cool pix, nor any overhead views of the battle, luckily most of you gamers have a vivid imagination and hopefully you can get a feel for how the battle went. So here is my attempt to bring the Necron action to your mind.
First off my list is as follows, forgive me if the points are off a little this is all done through memory both my list and opponents lists but I think you will get the idea.

GAME 1 Mission------ Pitched battle deployment with Kill points as objective. Troops woth 3pts unit HQ and transports 1 pt. each and everything else worth 2 pts.

Deployment
I won the roll off and set up both Monos in center with Deciever behind 1. Both 12" forward. Troops sat on either side with one in center towards my back tabe edge. Scarabs on my left with H destroyers and immortals. Destroyers in center 12 " in.
He puts 30 boyz across from immortals and H. Destroyers. Packed next to them were nob Bikers. Next to that in center of board was Gazzy with foot Nobz in Battlewagon, then 30 more boyz and across from my weak flank were the tank bustas. Everything of his was (not surprisingly) 12" forward.
Turn 1
I go first and shoot a handful of dice at B. Wagon from 1 Destroyer unit. Get 2 or 3 glances. Roll the glances and "wow" a 6. Glance + open top = wreck. He is so tightly packed forward Gazz and the Boyz pile out the front. I made a "web of scarabs" in front of my lines that were across from his Nob Bikers so I ignore them. I put the rest of my fire into Gazzys boys. Both Mono Templates scatter but only a few inches and each hits about 6 or 7 nobz. Since it is S9 AP3 he only gets Invul saves (5+) or models are instakilled. I end up killing 8 or 9 of his Nobz turn 1 with everything unloading on this unit.
Bottom 1
He moves up Bikers 12" and asaults my Scarab unit so he can get to my vulnerable troops. Rest of his army moves forward max speed and runs. Tankbustas must shoot at monos but the armour 14 proves tough to tackle and he does no damage. He wipes out all of my Scarabs and consolidates 5 " closer to my line.
Turn 2 I fire both Mono templates at his Nob Bikers and every cover save he misses (4+) is now an instakilled Nob biker. I shoot my whole army at them as well and cut them down to about 5 remaining. I ask him to make morale and he WAAAGGGHHHSSS!! Dam! I was trying to bait his Bikers with those scarabs and it worked so I hit his Bikers with the Deciever. Deciever hits 4 of the 5 and insta kills 3 more Bikers. They return with Warboss and 1 Claw 1 Big choppa and do 2 wounds. He is fearless so resolution kills off the powr claw Nob.
Bottom 2
He moves full forward and is waaahhging so Tankbustas assault 1 mono and Stun it. His shoota boyz start doing damage to my immortals. Gazz is able to make it to melee with the Deciever. Gazz does 2 more wounds but I kill of his Warboss on Bike. His other shoota boyz on my weak flank are dangerously close to my warriors on weak flank.
Turn 3 I pour as much fire as I can into his shoota boyz but kill maybe 6 or 7 orks per 30. In melee I took swings at Gazz and did only 2 wounds leaving him with 1 to go. He struck at deciever and Killed the deciever off. Deciever explodes and I figure Gazz will die in exploion but he makes his Invul save. Uh-Oh Gazz is loose in my back lines its his turn and my melee monster is gone. I was weating a little at this point. Mono with T. Hammers becomes immobilized.
Bottom 3 Gazz chargesDestroyers and the remaing shoota boys hit whats left of Immortals and lord. THe other shoota boyz catch 1 of my troops units. Gazz wipes out destroyers, Immortals and lord are finished off, warriors lose 2 or 3 but make morale, Tank boyz rolled awesome in melee with the mono and give me 2 more weapons destroyed.
Turn 4 Heavy Destroyers move over and put 3 hits on Gazzy and he fails Invul saves. Finally he is dead. I suck troops out of melee and pour everything into the Boyz squad that was just in melee and get them below 10. He fails morale and breaks. The other boyz squad I run from leaving them to chase me. Tank Hammers put 1 more weapon destroyed on poor mono.
Bottom 4 He has little to do but whale on Mono and chase with boyz squad then shoots killing 1 warrior.
Turn 5 I shoot up the rest of his Boyz and Tnkbustas eliminating his army from the field.
Final Score Me 18 Him 6 Massacre for me. With bonuses it was 22 points
That was a nice round 1. My army usually does well VS orks but a massacre was a nice surprise. On to round 2. I will post how round 2 went later tonight or tomorrow depending on when I have free time.

I know first hand just how tough necrons can be in the right hands.
My friend who I play quite often plays necrons and they can give me fits. You have to throw conventional wisdom out the window sometimes to have a good showing against them.

For the second round there was an interesting twist to the scenerio, the entire game would be night fight. Also, there were six objectives. On the 2nd, 4th, and last turn a dice was rolled that corresponded to the objectives. Whatever was rolled on those turns was the objective that counted for the rest of the game. This meant turn six would be a mad dash for the last objective. I was just hoping to be around at turn six. I figured the night fight would put my army at a bit of a disadvantage as it limits my shooting.

Turn 1
It was dawn of war so he moved on first with 4 battlewagons together in the center of the board with Big Mek in 1 with burnas, Nobz with Gazz. in one, and both 20 boyz squads had their own. The deffkoptas turbo boosted onto the board and the Kommandos went flank marching. I moved on similar to my last game set-up. Monos in center with destroyers. Troops in center but towards back with lord. 2 troops held in reserve and walking on. I fired what I could but I did not want to waste solar pulse without being able to shoot both monoliths. So I waited. Heavy destroyers fired at deffkoptas and he failed a cover save so one was insta killed. They failed their low morale and broke.
Top 2
We roll for first objective and it is near my front lines but on my weak flank. For now I have troops in the area but moving up to claim it now would be more damage than good as they would be hit and wiped out. Deffkoptas attempt to rally and fail routing off the board. Battle wagons speed up 12" straight at my lines. Some big shootas came at me from various sources but no damage.
Bottom 2 I start positioning forces to brace for impact. Next turn he will be on me. I turbo boost my scarabs to set up a "net" in front of my lines. Both monos on either side to create a wall to stall him at point blank. Destroyers and troops to back edge of board. Lord uses solar pulse and everything opens fire. Both blasts from monos miss, destroyers do almost no glancing out of 30 shots. Only 2. He makes both cover saves. Immortals glance one but I roll weapon destroyed. Hmmm, only the Koptas are gone and he will be on me.
Turn 3 top He moves all 4 battlewagons 12" forward again, 1 makes contact with a mono two more just touch another, 1 was short by half inch or so. My opponent says he gets to use DEFFROLLAS to do D6 S10 hits per deff rolla on my monos. I did not think Deff Rollas should be allowed to tank shock another vehicle, they could only Ram so I asked for the judge. The judge says that the Deff Rollas could get D6 S10 hits on the mono. I was not happy but what could I do, pitch a fit and be "that guy" or suck it up. In my pissed off state I forget to use that the mono is a skimmer and could dodge attempts from other vehicles hitting me(my mistake). He proceeds to wreck one monolith and stun the other. His troops pour out with the burnas and they light up my scarab screen. His troops and burnas are about 6 or 7 inches from my back lines of 2 units destroyer 1 unit troops with lord. Orks were all over my only remaining mono so there was no teleporting to get out of trouble. Gazz and nobz unload and come short of reaching one of my inf. suads. Oh yeah he was WAAAGGHHING. Things looked grim.
Bottom 3 I was a bit disheartened but a lesson I learned from one of the guys I gamed with is in 5th edition anything can happen and games can be close. I was not going to let this game be the reason I couldnt go to Chicago. I came up with a cunning scheme and prayed it would work. Obviously the orks are an immediate threat but I still have 4 Deff Rollas to deal with. I use veil of darness to get a suad of warriors on to his side of the board where he had no troops at this time. The immortals walk up to one squad of orks fire and assault. I figured he was going to charge next turn so I mine as well charge so to wound he would be looking for 6's (S3 to my T5). In the center I do the same with my destroyers. He probably didnt think I would assault so when I opened up with the destroyers on his burnas and boyz squads he took all casualties from the rear of the units so I was able to shoot and still make assault. Both melees were uneventful each side loosing on or two models. The deciever assaulted one deff rolla and only blew a weapon off of it. My remaing mono hit one of the battle wagons and wrecked it. My troops near Gazz. and the nobz ran away from him forcing him to give chace and pull him away from my forces. He was too far from deciever so I had no option of fighting him only stalling him.
Turn 4 Another objective is revealed and this one is on opposite side opposite end from the first, he has a shoota boy squad near by. Our troops are locked in melee so Deff rollas cant steam roller me so my opponent decides to go retrieve Gazzy after he cleans up remaining Necs on far side. Big mek in battlewagon goes backwards to chase my Veil lord. Melees continue and he puts down remaing destroyers VS his boys. Burna destroyer battle continues. Immortal boyz melee continues, I loose about two models in eah melee.
Bottom 4 I pull my destroyers as well as the ones I weel be back through my last mono. My deciever dives into combat to save immortals. I pour destoryer fire into boyz I just fought in melee and wipe thrm out. My last warrior unit arrives and blasts the rest of the Burnas. Rest of my Immortals are killed but deciever kills 3 boyz leaving 6 or so. Glance Deff Rolla in front of me and manage to get it so it cant move or shoot.
Top5 He loads Nobz and Gazz in battlewagon, my deciever uses his ability to bounce out of melee to go after shoota boyz near objective. Shoots and puts down 2 destroyers.
Bottom 5 I assault the shoota boyz by objective and I hit the boy closest to me so that he has to pile in away from objective. My destroyer that remains, his buddies failed "WBB", moves to the center of the board to do a late game turbo boost if necessary. My lord and troops Veil into corner with deciever melee where they are safe for time being. Deciever kills 2 orks and not much else happens.
Top 6. Opponent asks for my phase out number and I tell him its 14. I have 2 full squads left of warriors, 1 lord, 1 destroyer. If he wipes out 8 miniatures Im gone. We roll and the last objective is under my monolith. I wont take it but it is contested. My opponent has the option of disembarking Nobz on objective one, or going 12" forward with battlewagon, disembark, and then assault 1 Nec suad, prob kill all 10 and phase me. He choe to go for the phase. He tries a similar tactic with big mek at my sole destroyer. His plan works for the destroyer kills it with the Burna because it counts as a power weapon. His nobz kill 3 crons outright. Four fall due to failed armour rolls. I lost 7, I do no dammage in return. Now to see if I break and lose the game. I roll the dice and it is a ......3!!!
I make morale. The look on my opponents face was priceless. He now had 0 objectives and I had last turn. I make a couple WBB for the squad and suck them out of melee. My lord Veils onto an open objective and runs to get within 3". My opponent says we need to finsih melee with deciever, I kill a couple more and when it is over he says he gets to make a pile in move. He has about 15 orks in melee with the deciever. He shuffles the "outside ring" of orks that were not in base to base to the side of the melee nearest the objective that I hold. We measure and he is 2.75" away. He made it by .5" THis means objectives are all contested/ unclaimed.
This means mission comes down to kill points. I killed:
1 battlewagon
20 Slugga Boy Squad
12 Burnas Squad
10 Kommandos squad
4 Deff koptas squad.
5 points
He kills
10 warrior squad
5 destroyer squad
5 destroyer squad
5 immortals squad
9 Scarab squad
3 H. Destroyer squad
1 monolith
He has kill points so takes a minor victory and I have Minor loss.
Not bad, I was unfortunate to get the deffrolla ruling against me but I cant complain too much. Making that late morale roll was all that kept me from phasing. Going into the last round I would be playing for 4th place ( I was in 8th at this point out of 22 with top 3 going to Chicago.) Had I won I would have been playing one of the guys I rode up with for 2nd place. My other friend I rode up with was playing for first. I was glad not to play my friends Mechanized guard list. We tested our armies against each other earlier that week and it was all I could do to draw him. I would play my last round against last years sectionals winner who had brought a Demon List to this years tournament.

He shuffles the "outside ring" of orks that were not in base to base to the side of the melee nearest the objective that I hold. We measure and he is 2.75" away. He made it by .5" THis means objectives are all contested/ unclaimed.
This means mission comes down to kill points. I killed:
1 battlewagon
20 Slugga Boy Squad
12 Burnas Squad
10 Kommandos squad
4 Deff koptas squad.
5 points
He kills
10 warrior squad
5 destroyer squad
5 destroyer squad
5 immortals squad
9 Scarab squad
3 H. Destroyer squad
1 monolith
He has kill points so takes a minor victory and I have Minor loss.
Not bad, I was unfortunate to get the deffrolla ruling against me but I cant complain too much. Making that late morale roll was all that kept me from phasing. Going into the last round I would be playing for 4th place ( I was in 8th at this point out of 22 with top 3 going to Chicago.) Had I won I would have been playing one of the guys I rode up with for 2nd place. My other friend I rode up with was playing for first. I was glad not to play my friends Mechanized guard list. We tested our armies against each other earlier that week and it was all I could do to draw him. I would play my last round against last years sectionals winner who had brought a Demon List to this years tournament.
GL with the demons, you'll probably wreck him. The fact you'll get to shooty your whole army at the demons the turn they come in is pretty brutal

What happened in round 3?
I am a Necron Player also, but I left them at home for the hardboy in favor of mechdar. The night fight mission was awesome for me. Also wanted to commend you for playing an army in 5th that is seriously handicapped IMO. AT the hardboy nonetheless, well done sir!

Round 3
The mission for round 3 was table quarters deployment, with one objective placed in the center of the board. The center objective was the primary mission and whoever had scoring units in the most table quarters uncontested was the 2ndry. My opponents list was a follows

I deployed in a table quarter with some immpassible terrain about 12" away. I figured if he wanted to land close he might scatter into me or into the terrain. I kept all three units of troops in reserve and would walk them on. The two monos are set up towards the center. I figured he would have a hard time knocking these out since his monstrous creatures dont get 2D6 vs the Monos. The destroyers were behind them with the lord and immortals. I didnt move turn 1 so now he deployed/ turn 1
Bottom 1 He puts fateweaver, bloodthirster, bloodcrushers, deamon prince, and both soul grinders as wave 1. Rolls for which wave he gets, and gets his primary wave. Dam! Had that other wave come in I could have shot it to pieces with little risk to me, oh well. He lands fairly risky but the scatters were kind to him. If it wasnt on target it scattered maybe 3 or 4". 1 soulgrinder with phlem lands towards my edge of the board about 12" away and the rest of his army lands about 14" away just to the top of my table quarter. Not much in shooting EXCEPT soul grinder with tounge shoots the mono, hits, pens, and rolls explosion. Great 1 shot and a dead monolith. Hmmm not the worst but that did not help. Also fateweaver puts 1 wound on Deciever with Bolt.
Top 2 One of my warrior squads moves onto the board on my edge but as far to the center as possible than ran away from the action. Lord veiled with Immortals to get behind Soulgrinder(this was worthless because I forgot Soulgrinders are 11 on rear armour so S5 is glancing on 6's anyway. No damage to the phlem grinder. I charge the other SG with my deciever and kill it. I figured I had to go aggressive and try and Kill fateweaver if I was going to have any chance of going to Chicago. I consolodate about 5" from fateweaver and the Blood Crushers. My destroyers move away from him and shoot at the bloodthirster but with fateweaver around they dont do anything. My scarabs with disruption fields assault the soul grinder and manage to knock off one close combat arm. The remaining mono moves six towards the center objective.
Bottom 2 He rolls for reserves and the flamers come in along with the horrors. He tries to land the flamers near the Immortals and succeeds. All his flying creatures jump at my destroyers and the deamon prince with pavane dances the H destroyers into cahrge range and they are promptly killed. The Blood crushers make a circle around fateweaver so I can not assault him with the Deciever. Fateweaver shoots everything he has at the deciever and puts two more wounds on him. Scarabs and soulgrinder continue melee, Im down to about 5 remaining. Flamers put 9 saves on Immortals and Lord with no armour saves so I allocate it so my Lord only has to take 1 wound. Immortals are gone though.
Top 3 Mono moves about 3" from objective. Deciever cant get to fateweaver and now I have 3 wounds. I dont really want to charge the Bloodcrushers because with the amount of dice they will be rolling they will probably kill the deciever. He moves around and tries to move into melee with the horrors so he can "hide" they cant hurt me with T3. I kill a couple. My destroyers turbo boost away from his flying creatures or they would be on top of me. My warriors light up the flamers and kill them. The lord veils back to my edge and another squad comes in from reserve. The scarabs bust off the remaining close combat arm on the Soul grinder. That was the last piece of wargear he had that could hurt the mono. That accomplishes part of the mission, now I had to figure out how to kill the rest of his army and grab some table quarters. Shooting is unaffective due to fateweaver.
Bottom 3 Rest of his army minus the hounds comes in around my old deployment zone. I thought if his winged demons went after me it would be the end of me but he was afraid to move away from fateweaver and the blood crushers could not keep up to fateweaver so instead of giving chase he shose to start consolodating in center of the board. His winged demon brothers had to go rescue the soul grinder from those pesky scarabs wich I found a little humurous. They died but mission accomplished, the S10 powerclaw are gone.
Top 4 I veil my lord into opposite quarter I started in with a squad of wariors a good 26" from the nearest deamons. I unload all 10 Destroyers on his bloodletters and he makes about 75% of his saves naturally(fateweaver was 12" away or so. Dam! Deciever bounces around and dove back into horrors since he had a bloodcrusher wall around fateweaver still. At this point he was saying with his play style( Im going to sit in the center of the board with Fateweaver and all my nasties, come get me. Unfortunately only the Deciever could handle himself with melee so shooting had to do the rest. Not much else happens.
Bottom 4 Flesh hounds arrive so most his army is in center of the board trying anything he can to glance my monolith. Only the blood thirster and some bolts could do it but nothing is successful. Deciever bounces out to look for juicier targets next turn.
Top 5 Last warrior squad comes in and I put it in far corner of my deployment zone to hide out and hope to survive so I can hold the table quarter. Deciever hits plaugebearers, I know they are poisonous but I had to do something besides look at a bloodcrusher wall all day. I kill 3 but they do 1 wound in return. Shooting widdles down about 7 bloodletters and 3 plaugebearers from squad not in CC with deciever.
Bottom 5 He tries to encircle my deciever with fleshhounds forcing me into another round of combat if I could not bounce away far enough but is unsuccesfull. He tries rending the mono and I tell him you can not because of the living metal rule. Mono is now completely over the objective preventing him from getting within 3" He hits it with everything he has and gets 2 or 3 weapon destroyed.
Top 6 I have a squad in 3 table quarters and the center objective blocked so I try firing evrything I have to kill his troops choices. Kill off the bloodletters and shoot up the plauguebearers but with T5 and feel no pain he has 5 or 6 in each squad still. Time is almost up so I will just have to see how this goes. I charge the Pink horrors to keep them in a table quarter I have troops in and bounce out in his turn so they cant score in the open table quarter with no troops.
Bottom 6 He moves troops into quarters I have troops in so he contests all quarters Im in. Flesh hounds make a dash at my crons in the corner but he comes up about 5" short of charge range. He wails on the mono and gets another weapon destroyed along with immobilized but the mono is going nowhere.
Result no one has center objective, all table quarters are free of troops or are contested. Result DRAW. Well crap no Chicago for me. I was beaming when I saw how close fateweaver was to the deciever. He made a good move encircling him with bloodcrushers (Ill have to remeber that). It kept fateweaver alive but He wasnt really playing for the win. Of cource I wasnt pushing the risk factor either but I suspect he did not want to leave Fateweaver have the dice go against him, and lose to a Necron player at Ard Boyz. We had a good laugh over the game and I said Id see him at Adepticon. I ended with a massacre, a minor loss, and a draw at Ard Boyz round 2 with cronz. This netted me an 8th place. Now everyone playing can say "I would have won if this, this, or this would have happened" but the important thing is that a "bottom tier" army is still able to stay competetive in large tournaments. All of my games were winnable I just didnt have enough moxy to pull it off. This says a lot about the quality and balance of 5th edition. The two guys I rode up with (4.5 hours) finished 2nd (mech Guard) and third (mech eldar with 3 wraithlords and Avatar). So all in all we were all in a good mood, my friends are going to Chicago and I was able to give the Necrons a good showing in a high profile tournament. I met some awesome guys, had a ton of fun, and I learned some nifty tricks with my army and with other armies. That is what the hobby is truly about.
I hope this gives hope to some of those guys or girls who want to give the Necrons another go. You can not play conventional charge forward with everything into a meat grinder type of 40k if you mix offense and defense right any army can make a game of it. Hopefully more and more Necs will make it onto the tables adding to the spice of 40k so its not pure chaos, guard, marine, ork everywhere you go. Hope everyone enjoyed the reports.

Enjoyed the reports, thanks for posting them. I'm surprised you didn't just try to shoot down Kairos in the last game, though... with 10 destroyers, that's 30 shots, 20 hits, and 14 wounds on average. Even with the re-rollable 3+, you should drop him in 2 shooting phases with average rolling on both sides. Or he might just fail a save and go back to the warp.. Heh, it's happened to me a lot.
And he got lucky, too, to pop a monolith on turn 1 / have Kairos put three wounds on the big D in 2 turns... you probably could have crushed otherwise.

Some pretty solid playing here. There were just a couple of times when I felt like you forgot about the Deceiver's Misdirect ability. The best example of this being the last turn combat in your second game. Perhaps a Consolidate instead of a Pile In move would've left him just outside the objective.
Anyway, you did pretty good, with an (at best) average army. The Necrons certainly aren't as handicapped in these bigger games, then they are in 1500 points games, where they really have trouble. Still, I wouldn't say they are a competitive choice for the 'Ard Boyz event. If you draw a vehicle heavy army with the Necrons, you are out of the running. This seems to be the biggest problem since 5th Edition for Necrons (and Tyranids as well).

1st place was a Black Templar list with 3 Land Raiders and 3 Drop pods. I think 2 of the Land Raiders had termies. Dont know the specific build but he was playing for third, got the massacre and jumped ahead of my two friends. The way the game store was it had 4 tables in one room and 7 in the other. The 8 of us playing for the top 4 spots could all see each others games. Granted I was pretty focused on my game but there were moments to look around and get an idea how the other games were going. I didnt see the specific list though.

Nice battle reports, thanks for posting them.
I don't know if it was a timed event, and if talking to the Judge in round 2 would have counted drastically against you. But the rules clearly state that when tank shocking you will stop in 1 of 2 circumstances, 1) after moving X", 2) getting within 1" of an enemy vehicle.
I guess I'm pointing this out so you will know where to point out to your Orcish opponents that they can't do that.

Ard Boyz is a timed event. We had 2.5 hours to get in our 2500 pt. game. I knew that you couldnt tank shock a vehicle but for some reason some tournaments were allowing it. This was one of those tournaments. My opponent had obviously checked this since he took 4 Deff rollas. I dont blame him, he was just using what rules he could to get to CHicago.
Since this battle GW has stated that Deff rollas will not be allowed to tank shock vehicles in the finals. I think it has been a rule of great debate lately. It seemed pretty cut and dry to me but there is always "that guy" who wants to read a little too much into the rules. The other controversial rule I know that is out there is the great debate over an independant charachter attaching to Snikrot so they can come on any edge of the board. I had heard of both of these before the tournament but I didnt think anyone would try these at a national tournament. I would not do it because I know the second you try a controversial rule it immediately pisses of the other player and stalls the game while a judge has to come over to rule. That being said I learned my lesson for next years tournament.
I have been playing 40k since January and I think the rules in general are fantastic. I know GW has very little FAQ support but they wrote a good set of rules that encompasses 16 differant codexes over several versions of the game. Some of those 3rd and 4th edition armies can still be competetive. I know the Crons have a bit of an uphill climb but in 5th the games usually come down to the wire. I think it says a lot for the rules. People complain about the price of GW minis but come on. In my opinion you are playing the most competetive rules with some of the top miniatures in the game. The fact that GW addresses concerns and FAQ's at all means they care about the quality of their product. In my opinion GW is the top dog in the gaming industry and the best hope of bringing the hobby to the general public. I have met some quality people in the last few months that I would not have if it were not for 40k. A fun game that can not only be silly and fluffy but can also be used in competetive tournament formats. I say kudos to you GW.

Hopefully I can bring the crons to the next Adpeticon series event. It was a lot of fun and for anyone who has never been to the battle bunker in Chicago if you get the chance you need to go. The tables and the atmosphere are incredible. The event I attended was well run and efficient. I hope I can make it to future events.

That was a fine list you brought there.
Thats the list I personally believe can do the most with 5th necrons. And I do believe we necrons are awesome, not the best in 5th but good enough to be competitive.
Also, I see it was well played, but so did your opponents
