Ok, gotchya. But why is it exactly? Do the sterilize them? Does it have to do with how they are made? Or is it just because? I haven't seen anything about it in any fluff, but then again I'm not a fluff master.

Dont know if this was fake or not but I read once bought a chapter(believe it or not it was the rainbow warriors if im not mistakin) that they took wives and breed threw normal means cause apparently they were cut off from there recruiting worlds or somthing. I dont know, I believe maybe I was just seeing things but I cant shake the thought Ive seen it say a Space Marine Chapter took on wives and had children thus making sure they had the strongest warriors to induct in the Chapter since they now had only one world to recruit from and no contact with the Imperium.

The Space Marinification process makes them sterile.

Haha, Nice thread. The only sexual urges I've seen wrote about is with Ragnar. There's been a few subtle inferences to Space Marines not having genitalia at all. If I was making super soldiers I'd remove their genitalia, too, it's worthless for super warriors, they dont need to be reproducing. Plus I think Ragnar may only have urges because of the Canic Helix, making him like a predatorial wolf and it's giving him almost sexual urges, too. My super soldiers wouldn't have sexual urges when I made them, would get in the way and cause alot of problems!

I beleive it's something in the process...however just becuase they do not reproduce does not mean that they don't marry. There was, after all, a certain black and white space marine on a black and white bike who wanted to marry the chapter masters duaghter... (hide as modquisition searches the perimeter)

Also I believe there was some ancient fluff about an Ultramarine being half-eldar?

Let's be frank, The Imperium is a dramatised Christian Fascist society. The God doesn't interact with the people, gave his life for his people and everyone worship him and gets strength from him. Some Chapters could've had marines that had been previously married, what with people on most feudal worlds getting married between the ages of 12 and 16 (Though they could've been adults upon recruitment too, it's just far more likely their implantation would've failed). They may have had kids by the point they had been recruited by the Chapter, or as Scouts at the latest, but I know of no Chapters as of 3rd Ed + Fluff that have a record of full-blown Marines reproducing in their current state.

So I would say that no. Post modification, Space Marines are either sterile, have had their desire to reproduce removed through some means of brainwashing, or are just too busy on their missions of intergalactic importance to give a
