He Guys,

First of all, sorry for my not so good englisch typing (dutch/german guy)

After a nice gaming break of over a year I realized that Wargaming is the best hobby (IMO) to have after a nice day of hard working at the office......

After finding out that in a not so far distance from my house there is a gaming group waiting for new players I decided to start again with 40K. Only problem was that I sold everything a year ago (hello group, I'm Richard and I'm an idiot to).......

But having a very nice wife (love ya) with a lot of support and a nice end of the year bonus ( ) I tryed to decide what army to start and after a very long time thinking and reconcidering I choose Space Wolves...

Why???
Because the models look freaking awesome and the idea of charging everything in sight that moves was very appealing to me...

So after that I also decided after beeing a long time lurker on Dakka I let you all in on my progress with the army building/painting and gaming...

The stuff I bought:

Of course the Codex....
2 sets of Space Wolves Battleforces meaning 40 wolves, 10 scouts and 2 drop pods
A vindicator and 2 Razorbacks.

Razorbacks for shooting power because the lak of it in the units and because I wanted to have every unit sort of mobile.
Think of putting 2x 10 Bloodclaws in the Drop pods and 2x6 Grey hunters in the Razorbacks.

But first I read through the codex and see what I end up with

I also ordered 2 of these, dont want to do all hand made Urban terrain bases

I bought the army from Maelstrom Games, because it saved me about 100 Euros with the shops in Germany

Second off al I'm building an 4x6 Urban Terrain Board for what I ordered a bunch of Cities of Death Scenery bitz.....

So All I have to do now is wait for all the stuff to arrive

yeah, totally right, you have a hard day of work and then get glued-together fingers, bloody hands of the modells being so spiky and your back hurts for painting way too long But your totally right, it is the best hobby afterall^^
Which HQ will you take in the end?
btw the bases look fantastic, but aren't they a bit too full of stuff...? But maybe thats only because they stand that close to each other on the pics...
Waiting to see something painted^^
Will you take the citadel modular gametable or do something for yourself?

Oh mann its really been a while.......
Had a few games with my Wolves in the new Gamer group and they did there job very nice, still working on "The invincible army list" but arent we all.....

I bought an Black Reach Dread from someone and a 10 assault marines squad. The Carnis model is coming my way as a nice 5 man terminator squad.

Have some painting done and will put up some pictures tonight.

The gaming table is history because of the room going to be used for a new 40K player in production ( )

maybe you should think about the blood claws again.

i like them a lot,but game wise the grey hunters are superior in every aspect.

i only use skyclaws in planetstrike games cuz they can charge the turn they arrive.

I'm loving the idea of using urban bases on space wolves I don't remember ever seeing space wolves in any kind of urban setting I really think it will be a nice change of pace from the normal snowy bases you see them on most of the time.

Interesting...Could we get a close-up picture of these figures? I cannot really make out much of the detail on them. You definitely need to consider highlighting the red shoulder pads one more time.

You have definitely achieved a nice urban look on these guys!

It's been a while.....
I try to do a little bit more updating now

The army has grown to about 4500 points.
75% of the army is painted and the latest are my Thunderwolves

The Wolfs get a lot of fighting these days, so new additions are still coming. I'm trying out new stuff every game
