I normally go through the army list first, then check the magic item list, then start from the beginning. Although I do tend to jump from section to section at first.

I normally have a quick glance at the army list section and have a quick look at the stats and points cost first. The background is normally the last thing I read.

Other: I put it in the, um, "reading" room, so that I can peruse it at appropriate times...

I look at the pictures first

I flick through, see whats changed, then read the background, so "Other" for me.

I look at the painted picture first.
Then 1 page of fluff + 1 unit description per night when i sleep.

Wait.. this might explain why i can never remember anything , because im half asleep !

I'm new to the game, but for every army, the fluff is the first thing I go to once I start to peruse the book. Probably my favorite part about the codex.

Hi! I like to look at the pictures first, it's like a burst of inspiration to see all the beautifully painted and exciting models! It gives me a mental picture of what I will be reading about

I don't know, I'm not usually given a choice. The army list invariably gets leaked first, then the unit entries, then maybe background.

First I read the background and look at all pictures.

I usually look at the army list / units first, and then read the background for each individual unit. Last of all, I read the general background for the army... these are very boring to me for some reason.

I just flick randomly through the book for while then i might start to read it

Sinister, so I always check it out back to front.

I like checking out the independant characters for the codex first, but then look at the pretty pictures

I start with army-special rules/lores, then items, then stats, then pictures, then fluff.

However, I usually end up mixing this up entirely.

Start from the beginning and then eventually say "that is cheez!" at some point.

I skip the fluff of each unit, saving that for bathroom reading. I check each unit's page and special rules. I like to look at a unit and its abilities, get an idea for how they should be point-costed in my head, then flip to the army list section and see how many per unit/how many points per model. Sometimes I'm surprised.

Blessed with a great memory so I read front to back, page by page in order and then when done scan the bugger to pdfs so I can read it [Rules] on my blackberry when out /about at matchs etc

I sniff the pages for that "new book" smell! lol

I memorize those little scraps of paper that somehow cost me 25 bucks a pop. And then I usually misplace it somewhere...

Take a poop, so I can read without being disturbed.

A quick glance on how the units are set up plus what little tweaks there may be... then i'll sit down and read it from front to back!

Read it from the start to end. After that I'll likely go back over the army list/rules etc, to familiarise myself with it.

I like to go on the internet and start a flame war about how horrible the codex is compared to the previous edition, or how broken it is, depending on how I feel that day. Sometimes I do both.
