Hell to the yes.
Unfortunately, my wallet tells me it'll be some time before I can get serious about buying models.
I'll at least be buying the codex and Lelith as soon as they're available, but yes, the models alone are nice enough to inspire me to start an army - regardless of how the rules stand up to the rest of the 5th edition armies.

Well, normally I'd be totally on the band wagon, but I got a little crazy today and bought some Warmachine models. So, with an infant Cygnar army in the works, I'm going to pass on Dark Eldar.

I will use some of the older model but my Archon will be new since I will convert him to a alot of combat drug tubes going into his armour.Ps I wrote about my eldar armies fluff in the fluff section.It would be great if you read it and commented on it.

I have been waiting to start my 2nd 40k army, and choose DE about 6 or 8 months ago. I decided to wait for their release to go ahead on that. The models are very nice, so I'm hooked!

But trying to get my girlfriend into them. Unfortunately she is liking necrons more at the moment. Apparently scarabs are cute, wraiths are cool, and flayed ones are funny (since they are pretending to be humans by wearing human skins)

What about a generic 'NO' option for those who want to start an army, but not solely based on models?
As per the last poll and ther non-addition of options in case it gets too cluttered, this could be reduced to: 'YES' and 'NO'. Possibly maybe.:
Will you be starting a Dark Eldar army based solely on the new models?
- Yes, I love them!
- No, they still don't do it for me.
- I just can't decide...maybe?
- My old Dark Eldar models are fine for me. This is a 'no answer'. Player not attracted by new models alone.
- It totally depends on the rules in the new codex - this has nothing to do with models, and ergo, the question.
- I don't feel like starting any new armies, no matter how good the models are - this is a 'no' answer - the models are not a strong enough encourager to start a new army.
- I don't play 40k. - this is a 'no' answer, the models are not nice enough to make someone play 40k.

No, Though well sculpted they all look like they're from bad 80s sci fi movies (He-man, Highlander II etc.)
The Raider has potential though.

They are nice models but I don't start armies on the basis of only the models.
fluff has a bigger role than models, so does price.

I started Daemons recently, and am seriously considering surviving on Ramen alone to afford starting two 40k armies at once. Sadly, I don't think I could to that, so I'm putting off my Dark Eldar army until I finish my Daemons, and they might get pushed back further than that if I ever decide to start WHFB. Someday I will play Dark Eldar, but exactly when is far from being decided.

How can you see to type so well with your nose so far up in the air? Why is there such a stigma against buying something new, shiny, and, in the case of the new models, aesthetically gorgeous?

For the longest time, I planned on doing this. But now that I've seen them, I think not. They are undeniably cool looking. Just not to my taste. I'll keep waiting for a Craftworld Eldar update.

If I had some cash to drop like it's hot, then yeah I'd take a look at these Chaos Eldar. As it sits though the money is not there. So no due to obvious reasons.
