@ gonads - there is a black wash over the green carapace parts. The black body parts on the genestealer are drybrushed with metallic purple. Its a new look I'm trying and haven't gotten around to updating my MC's yet.

That's a nice, colourful Tyranid army. Natural metallic colours fit well on Tyranids due to natural insect colours.

Great colorsheme. Great models. Your army rocks! I find most Nid colorshemes (bright colored red and blue) horrible (except for Jormungandr) but yours works very well and the metallic carapace certainly screams bugs! I've seen a lot of real bugs with similar colors. And I've always been a fan of darker colors for nids, still wonder that most paint them so bright. The brighter weapons are a nice contrast.
