Well this is going to be a slow project as I am working and studying at the same time. Anyhow, here is one almost completed Grey Knight purifier. What I am not done with yet is the base. I have order bases from dragonforge, and have for the moment placed my purifier on a base I use for my elysians.

Just remembered... I forgot to take photo from the left side. But the only thing there of note is the heraldry on the shoulder pad. Nothing fancy really.

Easy trick really.

1. Spray white
2. Mix matt varnish (I am after the low viscosity) with GWs gryphon sepia.
3. Apply mix to white areas
4. Mix water and skull white. Make sure its transparent. Apply to white areas (this could be the tricky part though).

Now thats all
Step 3 has a similar effect as "dipping" but without all the mess.

Nice work on the white. Kicks my White Knights' collective asses for sure. Your detail work is also much better than mine.

Props for great models, there are too many GKs on Dakka that are just Boltgun metal sprayed and left to be done.

Thanks mate.
I was thinking of doing silver/grey knights. But it feels like everyone is going to do silver/grey knights (as they should be of course).
So I went for White, my old color scheme.
As long as people will see that they are GKs I am happy.

I really like the scheme. A lot of people are commenting on the white (understandably so, it looks great!), but I think what really brings that out is the way the muted red compliments it. Great work and I'd love to see more. If at all possible I'd like to see the heraldry on the left side too.

^ This right here, I love the super matte red, it's something you don't see very often and your proportions of red:white are very well done. Nice job man, can't wait to see more.

Thanks again.
I wanted to go for a catholic church theme. Inquisition had red, so I went for that. But red is only my minor color. Took white as main due to the fact that people refers the church with white (or black).

But then again... perhaps people don't really look into as much as I do

Very nice, it's a great break from the monotony that is silver/boltgun grey knights.

Thanks.
Feels good that so many like them. I'll try to paint some more today since its such a nice weather out side.
But first I need to go with the wife and meet some friends. Hopefully back in time for some painting.

Thanks mate.
Once I get a hang of how to paint the models right I'll try to add some more details. Heraldry on the legs and such.
I hope some one will have use of the mini tutorial I gave.

Looks amazing! I may use that trick for the heads of my Purifiers. So I'm contemplating painting mine up to be non-metallic as well, but going with a "shades of grey" color scheme. I'll be sure to up pictures as I go

Keep up the good work!

I think that actually looks more attractive than the silver grey knights which have a tendency to look like unpainted metals, even when they are the plastic ones!

Good job, very attractive.
