Alright, so a few friends of mine, after years of harassment, got me to build my first army at the end of 2009.
There didn't seem to be any Tau players in the group, so knowing nothing about WH40k, I grabbed the book and the Tau codex and went to work.
I took to it immediately. Now I've got a lot less money and a ton of models, and since dominating with my crisis suits and broadsides, I decided to open the field.

I love my tau, but having to run around the map to avoid CC, and because I was tired of having my Tau chewed up by Shrike-based Dark Angels, so I built army no.2
Chaos Undivided, led by Abaddon, with 2 squads of Berserkers, delivered in land raiders, and one each of the Sons and the Children, backed up by Obliterators. Still haven't put together a defiler, but I'm sure I'll get around to it.

As a new voice in the group, I was asked to weigh in on a debate about Necrons, specifically about necrons being lame and boring, so I luckily won an ebay auction and scored 100+ Necron models for chump change, and put together a simple list. I'll probably never play necron again; at least not until the new codex, they're so simple that they're not fun to play, and generate so much whining from opponents about how 'unfair' they are, that it's clear they're no fun to play against. Still, if the new Necron codex is anywhere near as interesting as the DE codex was, I'll definitely brush the dust off them.

After being berated by the SM players in my group for being a xeno and a heretic, I was given a copy of the Grey Knights novel. I figured, if I'm going to build an SM army, I want the emperors finest. There was one Daemonhunter in the group and he steered me in the right direction; and as of last week, I've started putting together a Draigo-led Paladin army, with a 2,500 point goal, not PGK, but damn close, the assassins are too cool to leave out. I'm really looking forward to my first battle on the side of the emperor.

I'm looking forward to some critiques on my lists, and talking tactics with more experienced players.

Wow - two introduction threads in one day stating just how little variety you have in the Necron Codex. Well, welcome to Dakka! We look forward to seeing you around the forums.

Thanks everyone! I'll get pics up eventually, my tau are a little embarassing, as they were the army I learned how to paint with; but my CSM, those were fun.
