I recently converted and painted this deamon prince (had some bits lying around and wanted to make something apart from nurgle)

Im pretty happy with how it turned out so im going to piece together an army to go with it.

The general theme i wanted for the army was that it would be a small yet powerful strike force sent ahead of the main army to intercept and destroy scouting forces. They are a renegade splinter of Blood Andgels (i will eventually make it a renegade company)

Indeed, looks really creepy, especially with the head! Nico job on fitting the claws to the C'tan arms, must've been tricky!

like i said man... not c'tan arms (the positioning of those arms wouldnt work for what i wanted) they are infact legs from deamonettes with minor cuts and sections of sculpting to make it fit... im thinking of converting another one of these (with slight changes) for my friends army for his birthday... if i do ill put up a stage by stage conversion thread and post the link in here

That's a great Daemon Prince. Its an excellent conversion given an excellent paint job. Keep up the good work.

ok so i started painting a Chaos marine lastnight to get my scheme figured out... and this is what i came up with...oh and there was a request for som pics of the deamon prince from different angles... so here they are too...
the marine isnt finished yet (and im painting their packs seperate so thats not on yet (im having a mini painting comp with my friend at the moment so i had to do some work on my custom nurgle termies unfortunately and didnt have more time to paint this guy completely)

ok so the paint scheme has been figured out... next project: RAPTORS!!
so being slaanesh, they have to look perverted yet...pretty
so i have decided to convert my raptors out of Blood Angels Sanguinary Guard
I bought 2 kits yesterday (aswell as a corpse cart to get that juicy ol' pile o bodies on my nurgle land raider) so tonight when i get home... i will start the conversions so there will be pics up this evening....

The colour of the marine's armour is really awesome! Brilliantly Slaanesh without being outrageous. Good work on the prince too!

Ok so considering my next step is my Raptors... And the unit will be accompanied by a sorcerer... my next conversion idea rises to the surface... but theres 2 models i thought would be appropriate to use as a base for the conversions.... Astorath The Grim... Or The Sanguinor, Exaplar Of The Host

So i put it to you, my fellow hobbyists to decide...

I would use Asrorath as the base for those wings and his body pose, but replace the head and arms to be more slaanesh like

Use astorath, perhaps add a long tongue or something rather?

The paintjob on that marine is incredibly unique!

the head will definitely stay for 2 reasons...
1: because trying to remove all that hair and crap would open a can of worms that im not sure im skilled enough to finish..
2:the screaming death mask fits quite well for the whole raptor theme
but yeah i may change the arms...

Interestingly fleshy look, paint job on that marine very good choice for the army - subscribed

Ok so i had a very busy weekend... unfortunately this bussiness did not consist of much warhammer (and what little time i had for warhammer i spent on my nurgle land raider for my major army)
im ordering the parts to put together the rest of the army today and when i get those in the mail, the conversion process for the entire army will begin...
there will be some updates on models before that but i will concentrate on my nurgle army for the next week or so...

also...for my raptors... i cant decide whether to just Use chainswords as their close combat weapons or if i should put a deamonette claw on each of them (along with a bolt pistol)
the only reason that id choose the chainsword over the claw is that, although itll look cool, it may look a bit silly because like... well... what are they supposed to do with a damn claw when theyre not killing noobs with it lol
what do you guys think?

haha yeah part of it is, but im only a casual at games workshop man, I have another full time job lol

well due to general laziness, i didnt really get a lot done this weekend
however i did get the majority of 2 more marines painted (and my deamon prince won a local painting tourney lol)
ill have pics up sometime tomorrow

oh and all my stuff should arrive in the mail in the next few days so ill be able to start building the rest of my army... then WIP pics will start for my raptor conversions
