Model looks great, except for a minor detail : I'm not digging the haft of the Thunder Hammer, it looks too much like a sabre / sword handle to me...

Other than this, great job!

It looks good, though there may be a few too many weapons

The only other suggestion would be to drill out your gun barrel

Oh, and that's really nitpicking, but you might also consider changing the thread title from "cutsom" to "custom"...

I think that if you had painted the head of the thunder hammer an icy blue that it would have made it perfect, for me, there's not enough contrast. But hey, this is coming from an Eldar player: contrast is my middle name

Yup the pieces come from astorath, a terminator, sanguary guard, and misc. bits.

Looks more like a Chapter Master than your standard blood angel. Really nice model

I primed the piece with black, then I did a dark red on the armor throughout, then progresivly got lighter and lighter until I did the highlights.
The hammer I wet blended white, red, and black.
The wings are a base of black, then brown, then shining gold, then a black wash, then another layer of shining gold, then a highlight of burnished gold.

Its very nice, but I'mnot a big fan of the pose, almost as if hes hopping across the battlefield, maybe a smaoke effect off his jump pack, or some dust being kicked off the base would be more convincing for me, IMHO. But over all a very good model and paintjob.

I'm liking the mini, nice job on the painting and converting. As for the jump pack, I think Eggroll has a tip he posted in his Blood Angels blog (also check it out for some pics of what the final product looks like):

"The jump packs I don't have step by steps but the general idea is to start with the darker colours (enchanted blue) and work your way into the brightest (white or white/ice blue). The hottest areas are always represented as the brightest so using this, you can translate it to any light source."

That should help make his pose more dynamic.

I like it. The gold on he wings could perhaps do with a touch more shading, but on the whole I think it's a great model.

Yeah, the wings kinda blended together in color. The front side looks better though.

Im really liking the one handed thunder hammer, could you post a brighter pic of the model?

I don't have the model anymore. I sold it to a friend of mine who wanted me to paint it for him.
