Hi i have finally got round to doing a rough rider conversion for my imperial guard i am using empire outriders/pistolers (pic to follow haven't taken any yet) and i was wondering what i should use for there lances. I am going to go for a light rider look for my desert style army. So was looking for a spear look has anyone got any ideas for kits which will have suitable spears as most fantasy units carry lances. Or should i just scratch build my own. I will post a few pics of my conversions so far tomorrow as so far only the banner bearer is done and i am yet to use green stuff so most of the models don't have legs attached due to IG legs not being fit for horse riding. As with several units in my army i am using catachan legs and cadien bodys. (horses are all complete though). Thanks for any suggestions.

Could try plastic rods and attach spikes from the chaos kits if you have some handy. Nice and cheap too! Light riders tend to favour javelins, you could model them that way instead of lances - if you can attach a demo charge to a lance, you can do it to a javelin too! Javelins would be more slender and shorter than lances.

Heh... you know that the only real difference between a lance and a spear is the rank of the person carrying it

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!
